Kaporie stare ok sOO i was all like wtf! y r u killing all my water pokemon and then i sent out my corsala and killed them all... untill all the grass pokemon temaed up on me... then all i could do is ice beam them all to death! 4laugh YAY! "all my water pokemon" The key to Pokémon is balance. You have to use a team of different types( without overlapping weaknesses) and diverse attacks. How could Gaia add a bunch of emoticons and STILL lack the VERY basic Angel???

TuffGhost Vague How could Gaia add a bunch of emoticons and STILL lack the VERY basic Angel??? But the pirate! C'mon, get with trends, Vague! pirate Mmm... Pirates... Just not the ones that the Science department students dress up as. There's something disturbing about taking a train with pirates who are discussing quantum theory.

Keithing Mmm... Pirates... Just not the ones that the Science department students dress up as. There's something disturbing about taking a train with pirates who are discussing quantum theory. Jovo just tried to teach me something about quantum physics... I think. The AIM Conversation JoVo Nexus: For instance, a world-line is the sequence of events labeled through space-time of an object. JoVo Nexus: Example, Earth's world-line would be an ellipse, since Earth always goes around the sun, but since it arrives at the same point a year later (a different time) then the Earth's world-line is actually a helix through four-dimensional space. VerhextSelbst: Woah, that made my head hurt. JoVo Nexus: Well, technically not "four-dimensional space." JoVo Nexus: Since four-dimensional space includes time, then it's actually four-dimensional spacetime, but spacetime is already four-dimensional, so that's redundant. JoVo Nexus: The right word is maniford. The Earth's world-line is a helix through a four-dimensional manifold that traverses spacetime and within which points are calculated by four coordinates (three for space and one for time). JoVo Nexus: Of course, because a four-dimensional manifold is difficult to imagine, then you suppress two of the space coordinates, so you end up with a two-dimensional manifold, otherwise called a plane, and the Earth's world-line looks like a squiggle. JoVo Nexus: How was that? VerhextSelbst: -smiles and nods- JoVo Nexus: I like physics! biggrin VerhextSelbst: I can tell! JoVo Nexus: You know there's actually a physical process called "spagghettification"? VerhextSelbst: Really? JoVo Nexus: That's what happens when an object approaches the event horizon of a black hole. Since time begins to dialate and the curvature of spacetime is beginning to approach infinity, then the object becomes red-shifted and appears to stretch out like a spaghetti string, until it becomes nearly invisible. JoVo Nexus: That's spaghettification! VerhextSelbst: I know about that! I saw it in a movie! JoVo Nexus: O: JoVo Nexus: So now you know what the process is called, and you can impress all of your friends! biggrin

You're trying to get Jack to understand something four-dimensional? Even a lot of scientists can't wrap their head around that, Jovo!
... You try too hard. =p

TuffGhost Jovo just tried to teach me something about quantum physics... I think. World-lines aren't really specific to quantum mechanics, they're more a matter of relativity, all though the fields intersect ( relativistic quantum field theory).( Special relativity, general relativity is about gravity and as such is incompatible with current notions of quantum field theory.) Spaghettification is considered an astrophysical phenomenon, because it's related to the a gravitational singularity (such as a black hole). If you're really interested in physics, or rather, want to pretend you are, and you don't want to read Hawking, then see my LJ memories for a link to someone's synopsis of ABHoT.

JoVo Vague Hmm. I wasn't talking to you anyway. rofl I wasn't, I was talking to Jack. And I'll thank you to refrain from using "snip" and "p***s" in the same sentence. Especially since I was lucky enough to escape genital mutilation as a baby.

I'll thank you not to refer to male circumcision as remotely comparable to the female version. The former does not permanently cripple the human as the latter does. Most of the men I know happen to be circumcized, and their parts still do what they're supposed to.

The former does not permanently cripple the human as the latter does. Most of the men I know happen to be circumcized, and their parts still do what they're supposed to. Did I say it was comparable? I neither said nor implied it. Mutilation, according to the Wikipedia, is "an act or injury that degrades the appearance or function of the (human) body, usually without causing death." Circumcision is not nearly as damaging or horrific as ritual sex mutilation of females, but it still fits that definition. It deprives the body of a natural defense mechanism, and from what I've seen causes a slight to moderate loss of sensitivity. Degradation of appearance is obviously more subjective, but a fair number of people would say so.
