"Oh....so THAT'S where the other portal headed off to!" Waffle said to herself.

"In Durem?! Seriously?" Koteki groaned. He looked at his daughter, shaking his head."Waffle, you totally screwed up this time. Who knows how many more people will randomly show up here? Anyways, we're going to head into our room. Don't bother us."

He and Colbur left the scene, leaving Waffle there with this foreign elf.

"And for the record, this indeed is Serole. We usually never get any visitors." Waffle said, smiling.


Meanwhile, Sabe was watching the whole scene from his window, but could not be seen in plain sight because of the curtains.

Val followed suit, feeling a twinge of deja vu. he looked around, and felt like so much was there that was as it should be, and yet not quite right. it was too much, h efelt scared, confused. something in the back of his head was screaming, kicking. like a door in his mind that was chained up and locked. "this is just too wierd... maybe she's lieing... maybe this is just some kind of government experiment..." his watch alarm went off. "CRAP! i gotta go, time for class!" he bolted, not wanting to be late.

"I would love too, Waffle." Pen took Waffle's hand and stood. She looked around the immediate area and a her stomach sank.

Such a lovely place, how can I explain it was destroyed.

She gave Waffle a tired smile but a figure in the window took her attention.

Sabe?

Sabe saw the elf look at him, and he quickly moved away from the window.

Meanwhile, Waffle led Pen into the castle's main floor and through a number of halls.

"Y'know, there used to be a lot of people around...but not anymore. Maybe in a few decades the scene around here would be a little more vibrant." she said, her expression flattening out. "And actually, I'm surprised we didn't bump into my husband yet. He sometimes wanders around the castle when he's bored."

Skotti ran into the lobby and looked around realizing the magnitude if what had just happened.
"Lana! we need to get the rest of the team and luc and waffle and... Luc!" skotti spun around at lana "We need to get luc back!" said skotti.
"How!? we can't get on the marine base!" said lana.
Skotti stopped and dug into his wallet "We might not be able too, but the Blackheart unit can!" he said holding up his Gaian Special Forces ID.
They left twi and got back to skotti's house so that he could actualy get in a car. Skotti ran inside to get his keys but stopped, seeing pictures of his kids on the counter.
he hesitated but pulled himself away and ran to the garage. They drove of to a storage area in Aekea and opened a large locker with a key on skotti's ring, it held their uniforms "Not like we can get on base dressed like a crazy rock star and a strange hippie" he said as they threw on the uniforms.


With Skotti and Lana in their uniforms, they drove towards the military base.

Luciano's good day had just gone down the tubes after he read the letter declaring Horatio's suspension. He got out of his clothes and back into his Marine uniform. He canceled his lunch plans with Mitchell and Carter so he was now off to tell the General he had a family emergency.
"General Landry, you busy?" he said after he knocked on the door frame. General Landry looked up and gave Luciano his usual big smile and he said "For you, Major, I've got an hour. What's on your mind, son?"
"I've got a small family emergency. My son is in a bit of trouble and my Wife is currently not able to get to it- She's the Governess if you remember."
"Ah yes! Governess Lenchantin de Aguierre-Cheverria! My superiors had dinner with her once- Nice as can be!"
"Yeah. So, sir, with your permission I'd like to tend to my family."
"Yes! Absolutely, son! If I were in your position, and I have been once, I would tend to that. Just come in tomorrow on time."
Luciano smiled and then he said softly, extending his hand for General Landry "Thank you, Sir. I very much appreciate this- Hey, you and me have a game of Golf on Saturday!" General Landry shook his hand and then he smiled again at him, "It's not a problem, Luciano, I haven't forgotten. See you Saturday!"
Luciano left the office with his duffle bag and then trotted down the hallway on his way to the Parking Garage.

Norman was walking through a hall that was perpendicular to the one that Waffle and the guest were in when he heard some conversation. He walked closer until he could hear them clearly. When Norman heard the last bit of the conversation, he decided to make an appearance and enter the hall.

Waffle nearly jumped back in surprise, then giggled.

"Hi, Norman." she said, hugging him. She then gestured towards the guest. "We have a guest here today."

Norman looked at the elf, then at Waffle.

"I don't recall any notice about guests coming over. Who is she?" he responded with a stern tone.

Waffle smiled nervously, then turned to the guest. "Uh....wait. I never asked you your name, did I? How rude of me..."

Norman wouldn't speak until the other elf spoke up first. The guest seemed very suspicious to him. He looked at Waffle momentarily.

Someone please remind me why I agreed to marry this ditz again....

Luciano finally got out to the parking garage, he tucked the paper into his duffle bag and then found his car about a minute later. As disappointed as he was in his eldest son, he still loved him dearly and wanted nothing more than to help him.
