Hope went over to Kisa before she could get an answer. She lifted her up and took her back up the stairs.

Shane had gone back into that room and was sitting on the floor. "Kisa, what happened?" he asked her when Hope carried her in.

Kisa tried to sit back up. "Why did you interfere?" she demanded of Hope. "I thought he'd end my pathetic existence! The only way to get rid of her is to kill me!"
"Kisa..." Jake said.
"Hey, Kisa..." Shane said. "Don't think like that..."
"None of you want me around, and I'm just a pathetic weakling!" Kisa screamed.

Hope looked a little upset and looked down.
"Don't yell at her," Faith said to Kisa. "You should be grateful."

"Nobody wants me around, and Mion's just trying to get me to kill you all!" Kisa repeated. She was sobbing.

Kisa shook her head violently, then stood. "Then I'll ask him to kill me," she said. "That should make all of you happy!"
Shane looked shocked and moved towards her. "Hell no," he said. "That wouldn't make me happy at all."
Kisa shoved him back and backed away from them, towards the door.

Kisa reached for her knife, but found that it wasn't there. She turned and ran to the basement, where she knew the knife was.
Shane sprinted after her.

The basement door was closed and locked by the time they got there.
"Please stop this," Hope begged her.

Shane went to her side. "Come on, Kisa, snap out of it," he said, soothing her.
