The Free Land of Orginally Named Empire is a very large, pleasant nation, renowned for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-working, intelligent population of 114 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The tiny government juggles the competing demands of Public Transport, Education, and Law & Order. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 4%. A robust private sector is led by the Uranium Mining industry, followed by Gambling and Cheese Exports.
Voting has become a nightmare since everyone keeps selecting "None of the above", reporters often lose their jobs over fact-checking errors, only the wealthy can afford monorail fares, and almost half of the child population live rough on the streets. Crime is a problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Orginally Named Empire's national animal is the short tailed gar, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the saoirse.
how my nation is doing wasabi XD

XD Your taxes are way lower than mine. But that's probably why crime is such a problem.

I do believe this is the only time I will ever see Wasabi make a spelling mistake.
-relishes the moment-
I've read that too, pretty good.

I fund the police, though crime is nearly unheard of because my people are well behaved. If they have no reason to turn to crime, the great majority will not.
