Yo, Ima newbie to the guild. not-so new to RPing or Naruto in general. *bows politely to everyone in solumn greeting* Just working on a character I hope to get into Mist. *my fav. Village because Kisame kicks major arse* whee

It's a playable clan 3nodding There are actually quite a few clans from the canon that are playable in the guild(e.x. uchiha, hyuuga, senju, etc.)
Plus custom clans that the members themselves have made ^^ Look at the game systems forum---> Clans and Bloodlines Master Listings thread to look at all of them so far, but for right now the entire guild is undergoing a new system change, so you might want to start reading up on our d20/skills/training/leveling system before you make your character ^^.
Just read up on everything xd it get's a little confusing, but just ask someone, and soon enough someone will respond ^^

However the Hoshigaki clan thread thingy im looking at is really unbalanced and revolves around Samehada.. which is a sword... that I dont wish to have my character posses. ^^ I'd wrather have Chihiro a blade he had in my old d20 campaign when he was a Ramamochi

sweatdrop Yeah that's the main ongoing problem right now, clans are being revamped and everythings being balanced for system 3.0
Also. to have a specific weapon that's uberly more powerful than the rest, that's considered a god legacy weapon, and you have to train up to become probably jounin-level and then you have to SEARCH for it. It's kinda hard to explain.
Also: To make a Ramamochi, since I'm assuming it's your own custom clan, you're going to have to make one in the clans approval subforum sweatdrop then have it approved for system 3.0, and then make a character for it.
edit: regarding the hoshigaki clan's "samehada" it's a "rite of passage weapon" that's not actually meant to be the samehada Kisame carried in the canon, but in fact a similar "chakra draining" weapon, but not the massive sword thing x].
samehada in this guild is a playable god legacy too. ninja

the clan itself had no kekkai genkai, so im assuming its safe to make a character who lives in a clan of weapons crafters.
Similar to the four guys from Hidden Craftsman, cept.. not so lame.

ninja Well... you'll still have to make the clan itself, if you want your character to have certain aspects like bonuses to the craft ability, OR
you could start a character with...no clan? that just becomes a sword-crafter by art. w/e you want.

3.0, im reading over it, and it doesnt look too much different than the other rules.
Is it finalized and should I build my character around those instead of the other ones?
Or should I use the old and just be prepared to update later?

Nice to meet you as well my friendly friend! Welcome to the guild! I have recently been making a character and everything as well. Getting my clan reapproved to fit the new 3.0 system. Zent0s has been helping me, he's quite the genius!
