"We face the king of demons, the monster that once ruled all Magvel.
He's more powerful than any one of us here. But we have something that beast will never have.
We have community, friendship, love... We have all the virtues of humanity.
That is our weapon. That is our strength.
Is everyone ready? We're going to win."

"..." Ephraim shook his head. There was something odd about that girl... he couldn't quite place it. Had he met her before...? She seemed to be taking nervous glances at Siegmund, but that might have just been because it's a powerful weapon. Or just the fact that it is a weapon, and she worried he'd attack her. But surely she didn't actually think that, especially if she knew anything about him. ...It was certainly odd, but perhaps not worth worrying about for now. The Reapers survived but that only meant he would have to try to end them another day instead.
Glancing towards Hana and L'Arachel as Hana became a bit... defensive, Ephraim's expression turned to slight exasperation. "...If you're an angel, there's nothing to feel inferior about. Is this worth making a big deal out of?"

"Oh, you just don't understand, King Ephraim," Nero said nonchalantly as he was... there. He pinched Hana's cheek. "My adorable sister feels like there's nothing she can do well except heal. And to be undermined by someone who can heal AND fight, well... you can imagine how that would make her green with envy. Green, like your girlfriend's hair." Nero let go of Hana, putting a hand to his chin. "I wonder why green is associated with envy. Is it because money is often green? Hmm... I suppose I could just figure it out in an instant, but where would be the fun in that? Also, Hana, using me and our parents as a reason for why you're capable only makes you seem more pathetic. But keep your chin up--you aren't worthless. You have some dormant power still residing in you, waiting to come out and shine. ...Probably. Maybe." What a comforting brother she had.
"You should really work as a motivational speaker."
"Is that SARCASM in your voice? I'm sure I could make a terrific motivational speaker. ...Probably. Maybe. Ugh, I need a shake. Where's Aven?" He glanced at Hana. "Just remember, sister, no matter how much of a worthless degenerate failure you may seem and look like, there's at least someone who thinks the world of you. In fact-"
Hana would suddenly feel arms around her, pulling her back closer to his body as Yugi suddenly appeared as well. One hand rested atop Hana's head, and the other slowly, creepily stroked her face as he stared at Nero. "Hisssss.... Hana is BEAUTIFUL and PERFECT and THE BEST AT EVERYTHING and DON'T YOU FORGET IT. Don't listen to them Hana, you're the coolest girl in the entire universe. Multiverse. Omniverse. Everything-verse!!!"
"..." One could almost see the sweatdrop on Ephraim's head. "I'm starting to remember why I stopped coming around here..."
"Tana!" Innes had made his way down safely from the roof he was perched on, making his way towards the group now. "What in the world were you doing? Getting so close to the action can be dangerous, and you are a Princess of Frelia! If something were to happen to you-"
"Innes..."
"...That is to say... I... I wasn't aware you were here, and getting so close to those monsters--it worries me. We have no way of knowing what we're dealing with. I would prefer you come speak to me regarding our current strategy in the future before rushing headlong into the fray. You could have disrupted the entire plan if not for-"
"Innes......."
"I don't need your constant interloping, Ephraim!"
"Tana is a capable warrior, and she wields a Sacred Twin just like the rest of us. Don't undermine her skill and her accomplishments just because you're worried."
"...What you say isn't incorrect, but what about you? Surely it does not make you happy to see Eirika put in danger."
"Well, of course not. I'm her brother. Brothers should protect their sisters, but I do trust in Eirika's prowess. She continues to improve every day she trains. Still... I would prefer she not have to battle at all."
Innes glanced at Tana, sighing as he looked back at Ephraim. "...Yes, I understand the feeling. If only we lived in such a world."
"...If only." A world without conflict and war... it would truly be ideal. But would that be the sort of world Ephraim wanted to live in? ...It was a difficult question. Of course, he wanted peace and prosperity, but he was driven to battle. Driven to war. Not so much that he would make a game out it, or turn on his allies just to create a war--nothing quite so extreme, but he did love battle. He loved testing and surpassing his limits. ...And yet he knew such impulses were unhealthy for a king. But it was not a part of him he could just do away with.
"..." Yugi let out a deep breath. "Those weapons... they could kill me..." he muttered to himself, referring to the Sacred Twins. Being a Necromancer, he was closer than most to the dead, and in becoming what he was, he had made himself into something akin to a monster. His version of Necromancy was much different than someone like Lyon's--Yugi had far more control over the dead and could summon hordes at a time, but the cost was that his life was linked so much closer to them. It was a trade, and one he didn't necessarily regret. "Cuddles too..." He scooted back a bit, his arms still around Hana. He seemed to be... very uncomfortable around these weapons. His undead friends usually couldn't be killed--even if they were severed into pieces, they could come back together and continue as if nothing had happened. But those weapons... they were a different story. They could kill anything he summoned, and they wouldn't be able to come back. ...Well, kill isn't the right word since they were already dead. Vanquish? Sure, let's go with that.
"Yugi, I don't think you have much to worry about if you don't pick a fight with them," Nero pointed out nonchalantly. "And if you do that, you're just digging your own grave anyhow. Even alone most of these humans could defeat all superpowered beings on this world--especially Ephraim. But together? They have amazing synergy on top of great skill and strength. It wouldn't be a good idea to mess with them. Even all of Avalanche might lose fighting this group. And that's saying something." He ran a hand through his hair, smirking. "I mean they DO have a healer who's far more capable than even an angel."
"SHUT UP HANA IS PERFECT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Cloud Strife

"Alright everyone, let's mosey."

User Image

"Kamui!" Cloud quickly knelt beside the Phantom Thief as he arrived rather late on the scene. "Are you alright?"
"Well, I've been better..." Joker said, still gripping his bleeding arm with Nidhogg's arrow lodged in it. That's probably why Cloud went to him first, the whole arrow thing.
"...Hey!" Cloud stood, drawing the Ultima Weapon from his back and stepping towards the group. "He's part of Avalanche, and I'm not about to let you just attack him like that."
"Hmph," Innes let out disinterestedly. "He drew a firearm on my ally, and I stopped him. You should be happy I didn't aim for the neck."
"What exactly gives you the right to make calls on who lives and who dies? Especially when he was just trying to protect someone."
"Frankly, you and your band of idealists are fools. Spouting out self-righteous rants about trying to keep everyone you can alive--allowing a monster to live will only result in more deaths. So instead of killing one, you were responsible for the death of many. Is that so much easier to live with simply because it wasn't your blade ending their lives? Grow up. You and your lot wouldn't last a day in an actual war."
Cloud's eyes narrowed, and he dropped into his battle stance.
"Cloud," Ephraim said, stepping in front of Innes. "You don't want to do this," as he said this, he drew Siegmund.
"My problem isn't with you--it's with him."
"If you pick a fight with him you pick a fight with me. And you will not win."
"..." His grip on Ultima Weapon tightened. "So be it." He raised the blade, crashing it against the ground and sending a Blade Beam barreling towards Ephraim.
"Don't shoot to kill," Ephraim said to Innes, raising both his arms and gripping Siegmund firmly, scraping the blade against the ground and slashing the spear up towards the Blade Beam, swiping through the beam and forcing it to dissipate. Lowering his off-hand now, he began to walk towards Cloud. "I've been wanting an excuse to fight you. You're called a hero in this world, and I've been wanting to see your skill firsthand."
"Tch," Well, this was a potentially bad situation. He had certainly heard about Ephraim--how he was considered by many to be the strongest human on the planet. Cloud certainly didn't think he wasn't unskilled himself, but this was one enemy he wasn't sure he wanted to make. Still, what was done was done. "Hyaa!" Cloud leaped up, bringing down the Ultima Weapon to crash down towards Ephraim.
Gripping Siegmund with both hands once again, Ephraim raised the spear horizontally, blocking the blade with the spear's shaft. The impact caused Ephraim's feet to sink slightly into the ground below. "You're strong!" Ephraim said, grinning. "I would expect nothing less with a sword like that!" Ephraim slid the bottom end of the spear out slightly, twisting out of the clash and slamming the bottom of the spear into Cloud's face in the same motion. Cloud recoiled back, though Ephraim reached out with his off-hand, grabbing him by the shirt and throwing him against a nearby wall.
...Though due to L'Arachel's own healing magic, Cloud wasn't the only one he'd have to deal with.

Ephraim narrowly dodged a diagonal slash from behind from the massive Buster Sword, as Zack was now defending his friend in response to Ephraim doing the same. "Here we go!" Zack slashed upwards, which Ephraim dodged again--also dodging the follow-up stab Zack went for. Well, Ephraim was certainly faster than Zack expected. "Rrah!"
Ephraim raised his arms to once again block an overhead swing. Quite similar, he noted. Perhaps one of these two learned fighting from the other. Raising his leg, Ephraim delivered a harsh kick to Zack's midsection.
"Guh!" Zack doubled over from the kick, but quickly slammed his shoulder into Ephraim to knock him back and keep him from capitalizing.
"Gh!" Ephraim wasn't expecting such quick retaliation, being knocked back a bit and sliding on his feet to a stop.
"You can't win against both of us!" Cloud dashed forward, raising his Ultima Weapon... only to let out a shriek of pain as an arrow lodged into his knee, causing him to drop down to one knee.
"Thanks for the opening," Innes remarked coldly.
"Hey!" Zack whirled around to face Innes, starting to suddenly sprint towards him...
...Only to feel himself grabbed by the back of his hair and pulled roughly back. "I think not," Ephraim pulled him harshly back, letting go of the hair as he twirled his spear, so the bottom was facing forward, slamming the bottom into Zack's gut with intense force.
The wind was knocked out of Zack as he was knocked backwards, not exactly having enough focus to properly defend himself when his HAIR was pulled like that. "Sheesh, watch the hair..." He grunted.
"I'll do what I need to to win." Ephraim remarked. Though he generally wanted an honorable battle and whatnot, he would use whatever tactics he needed to to win--within reason, of course. He would never do something like use a hostage, but long hair like Zack's? Very exploitable.

It was all very sudden, so sudden that it would take the entire group in surprise as a heavy thick mist filled the area, the salty air was a quick indication of who was now getting caught into the mess. They would not be able to see anything, let alone their own hands. Innes wouldn't be able to fire his bow with his sights impaired by the sea mist that suddenly erupted. The next fun was the heavy strike that came down on both Ephraim and Innes's sacred weapons while they struggled to see what was in front of them.
That's when the mist began to fade, and would reveal two massive watery-transparent tridents pinning the weapons down into the ground before them. Even if they tried to remove the trident to free their weapons, they would find that in all of their strength, there was nothing they could do to remove them! Not only that, but as everyone became more aware of their surroundings, they would see a massive magical rune flowing in the entire area of the battle, and the source of it all approaching slowly. That source, the growingly distant mermaid princess, Azura. How long had it been since she came back to any sort of civilization? Even she forgot. There were some differences, quite a few big ones, first was her outfit was no longer her typical blue and white elegant dress she was almost always seen wearing, but instead a white dress that, well, wasn't QUITE as covered as she once used to be.It still held a beautiful elegant look, and managed to be just cute enough that she would dare to wear such a revealing outfit. The mermaids blue eyes settled on Ephraim's own, why did she have the feeling he was responsible for this mess? Innes would find he was being watched as well, but not by Azura, instead what could only be described as a sea spirit, a summoned guardian that he may not want to pick a fight with.

"You want these back? ......You won't. Not until you stop this ridiculous fighting.." She turned to look at Innes, all the while her guard remained up with Ephraim. She didn't ignore him and was full ready if he tried anything. "Your lack of intelligence shows with each arrow you send into these hero's. The people of this city look to them to protect everyone, yet you would jeopardize everyone by injuring them. What a stupid move..." A arrow to the knee didn't heal up instantly, even with healing magic. The pain would remain for a good while.

Ephraim glanced around as the thick mist suddenly began to envelop the area. Oh boy. "Ugh, fog... well, at least I'm not on a ship this time." He remarked to himself. He had done multiple battles in fog, but oh boy the battle on the sea was something special. ...It was where he first met L'Arachel, in fact. She might remember it well. A torch would be nice to have right now.
It was immediate--completely instinctual reaction that caused Ephraim to pull his spear back the instant pressure was applied to it. That allowed him to keep himself from being disarmed, at least. Innes was just barely not fast enough, however.
As the mist subsided, Ephraim would turn to face the one apparently responsible. "Quite the underhanded tactic, miss...?" And then, his eyes locked onto hers. "....?" He felt a sudden... strange wave of emotion. ...That was... odd... "...You're... nghh..." He reached up his free hand, clutching his head momentarily. He was getting a bit of a headache as though his mind was scrambling around trying to make connections that should already be there. What in the world was going on? "Have we... met?" Suddenly this whole battle seemed pretty insignificant compared to... whatever he was trying to remember. He felt like he had forgotten something important. "What's going on...?"

"It's astounding that you believe I am the antagonist in this situation," Innes retorted to Azura, clearly miffed that his weapon had been embarrassingly taken from his grasp. "You can call them "heroes" all you'd like, they are the ones who began the fighting. We were only finishing it, as we so often do. Frankly, if you believe me battling these "heroes" jeopardizes this city, then this city has quite a few issues. A so-called Reaper was here, intending to absorb the energy of the unconscious and defeated "heroes" here, and who knows what else. Who saved them? We did. How do they thank us? That fool in the stupid mask tries to attack my comrade, and the one with the ridiculous hair tries to attack me. Yes, clearly these are exemplary "heroes." What a joke." Innes and Soren were both pretty good with insults and pointing things out like this, weren't they?
Ephraim took a few steps towards Azura, clutching Siegmund. "What are you trying to accomplish? Do you wish to fight me as well? I warn you, petty tricks such as the one you just pulled won't be enough to give you a victory against me." Part of him really wanted to fight this girl and see what she--along with her familiar--could do. However... there was part of him that really didn't want to cause her harm. If they did fight, he couldn't exactly give it his all against her. He didn't want to hurt her.

"Does that mean i'm doing well? " She figured it must have, no one could have known it was coming, or her for that matter. "I suppose it isn't that well done, you should be disarmed right now. " So, yeah, she didn't exactly do perfectly, though it wasn't surprising ether. She was only just learning these new powers, and it seemed there was still a lot to learn. "....? " Azura blinked at him curiously. "What? ...I haven't done anything to harm you. " She wasn't exactly sure what was going on with him, he seemed to be in some sort of pain, and very confused suddenly. "....It's possible you have seen me here once. Though I rarely come here anymore...I don't recall ever meeting you. " She felt that she would remember that, for some reason. "..Is this act of yours an attempt to lower my guard? ..It won't happen, if that is your goal.." She never knew who to trust really. Could she trust ANYONE anymore? She did best alone at her island, or the ruins of her kingdom. People just didn't go well with her anymore.
She turned again to Innes. "You are. You are the one shooting the arrows, there are other methods to stopping a battle and it doesn't require a arrow into a known hero of this city. Did you stop to think maybe it was a misunderstanding? The first thought to everyone's mind is battle, hurting each other instead of standing with each other against the threat.."
Again, she returned her attention back on Ephraim as he began to step toward her. "What am I trying to accomplish? ..I think it's perfectly obvious. To stop this fighting. You look like someone who loves to battle, so quick to assume I want to fight you, though you have no idea what I can do. Did you think this was my only ability? I'm confidant I would defeat you very quickly...Who knows, maybe we've battled once before so long ago...and forgot.." She paused a moment.."No, that's not possible. I wouldn't forget such a handsome face.."

"...In a way." Ephraim responded. "Underhanded tactics can be distasteful to some, however. Of course, you have to do whatever you must to win... within reason." He shook his head. "It was a good idea, but I suppose I have decent enough reflexes." Honestly, it was surprising he could have done it--most people would've easily been disarmed in that instance. Her strategy was quite sound indeed. "It was more than just seeing you once, surely... I feel as though we've... I don't know. It's strange... I've never felt something like this before. Like a word on the tip of your tongue, but you can't remember..." He must have sounded so strange, but he couldn't quite help it in this scenario. She seemed so familiar... "Hardly. I don't need to lower your guard to defeat you." Bold words! But he wanted to see how she may react to that, and perhaps it would make her see he wasn't lying.
"Ha, did I stop to think it was a misunderstanding? What about the so-called heroes? No blame lies upon them according to you. Is that right? Maybe I should have stood around idly chatting while the blonde one ran his blade through my gut. Apologies, but that isn't the way I do things. Your viewpoint is clearly biased." In a way it did seem that way. He didn't exactly instigate the battle. He didn't HELP matters, but he wasn't trying to get in a battle with anyone here.
"...I will not deny that I enjoy battle. I would prefer as little conflict as possible, but... sometimes people must fight." That was certainly true. This may not have been such a dire circumstance, but regardless... "Hmm. You must have a lot of confidence in yourself to believe I would fall before you so easily. It's true I don't know the extent of your power, but that only makes the idea of battle more thrilling. Won't you indulge me?" He grinned slightly. Then came her last words, which caused him to blink, but he remained composed. "You are a very interesting girl to speak so frankly, Princess Azura. You- ..." He blinked a few more times, shaking his head a bit. "Azura...? Is that your name?" She hadn't said it to him yet... "...That... was strange. Your name suddenly came to me..." Perhaps it was the way they were speaking to each other...? ...He didn't know. "Well, regardless... you're quite the beauty yourself. Stunning, even. It'll be hard to concentrate on a battle, and yet I want to battle you more than just about anything right now... What do you say? If you win, you can take my weapon and I'll become your prisoner. Though if I win... you and I will go somewhere to speak for a while. I need to know more about you--I want to understand why I feel like I remember you. Do these terms satisfy you?" A duel like this... he would have to do his best not to lose. Even so, he didn't want to hurt her if he could avoid it, and she WAS very attractive... it might be hard to focus very well. ...Especially considering her outfit. It really... accentuated her attractiveness. Though he was trying his best to be decent and not... stare... or... look too much...

"Blocking out everyone's sight to stop the fighting seemed to be the best option for the situation, without going to other measures. " Like full out attacking them while everyone was unable to see, now THAT would be underhanded. Lucky for them, she only wanted to break up the fight. "Hmm.." She couldn't deny this was a little on the strange side, it was as if he had suppressed memories even he had forgotten about that were trying to force their way back out. Just what was going on with him? "I can't say I know exactly what you are talking about...There are only few locations I visit, but most of the time I remain on my island.." Well, she was the only one living there, so she kind of just called it hers, but really it belonged to any good person who wanted to find peace.
Azura's sea-blue eyes shimmered of life, a small smile appearing at her face. A smile of confidence. "Really..You must know me well to think such a amusing, and silly thought. Are you really prepared to be put down to the ground where you stand? You would not get within five feet of me. "

"Did I point you out only? " She said to Innes. "I did not. What I said applies to all of you, the first thought was battle, did anyone here think to stop and make certain it wasn't a misunderstanding? I highly doubt that...rushing into battle will only make things worse, and it did. "

"I do, actually. Do you know, I don't even know how I got these..new abilities. My only abilities were by the power of the sea, and my weapon..Well, it certainly wasn't this." She was talking about the obvious tome in her hand, still which seemed to flare of blue energy that looked similar to water flowing from it as she held it. "It is true there is strange things happening, why did I get this new power? And you...You seem to have something troubling you as well. " Then his next words came to be the biggest surprise of this day, at least for Azura. "...I see, there really is something strange going on..You think you know me, but you don't, yet you know two things about me.." Her princess title and her name, which she knew she never told him!
The mermaid's eyes shimmered softly again, it seemed like anytime he said anything nice or complimenting to her, it sparked a little life in her. A tinge of happiness that was long forgotten. "You think so? ..." She smiled faintly. "...It's nice to ...hear that..." It was nice, and would probably never be heard again, so she might as well savior the small moment.
"So, if I win, I take your sacred, most important possession...and make you my prisoner? ...I have a feeling your friends will not like that idea? " It was hard to tell if she knew he was joking, or was playing along herself. Or, was he really joking? Oh the questions.. "Very well, then. I will accept these interestingly put terms...I suggest we do this else where, I wouldn't want to hurt anyone else besides you.." She smiled again.

"You may have a point. Regardless, it is a method likely to put people more on edge." There were many powerful enemies in the world, and who knew what they were capable of? "...Hmm. There doesn't seem to be a very logical explanation, then." It was a certainly a strange case, and it didn't seem he'd get an answer easily. He just felt like he had met her before... There was more to it, but... he didn't know. At her next words, his grin widened slightly. This girl certainly seemed confident. "That confident smile is quite attractive on you. Will you still be wearing it after we fight, I wonder? I'm not the type to go down easily." Generally that was true, but who knew? Maybe this girl would be the one to make an exception to that rule. The idea of fighting her only made him grow more excited the more confidence she displayed. It was thrilling, and quite attractive as well.
He tilted his head slightly as she spoke further about her powers of somewhat mysterious origins. "Perhaps there's more to this than we realized..." Yes... this certainly needed further investigation. "Of course I do. I mean what I say." And indeed, she was quite the appealing girl. Honestly, these compliments seem to just come out. He wasn't exactly much of a ladies' man--not terribly smooth in regards to flirting, but he seemed to have little trouble talking to this girl. Strange...
"Well, that isn't their decision to make now is it?" Indeed, he seemed quite serious. He wasn't joking about these terms! And so, she accepted. "Glad to hear it," he said simply. Ah, it was difficult to contain his excitement. For some reason--maybe the familiarity, or maybe her confidence in herself--Ephraim really wanted to fight her and see her power firsthand. The battle he had been fighting prior seemed so much less interesting now by comparison! "Hmm. A valid point. I don't want anyone getting in the way." Her last comment made him grin slightly. "There's that smile again. Will it last? Heh. We'll see just how badly you can hurt me, little princess." Ooh, this was fun. Despite any protests anyone may have had, the two seemed pretty dead-set on this battle, and so they would soon make their way out of the area, towards a more suitable fighting location...

This was certainly getting interesting, it seemed the more they spoke, the more she began to realize similar feelings herself, but she couldn't quite figure out exactly what it was! It was quite irritating being so very confused like this! It was as if someone had cast a spell on the two of them just to mess with their minds...or hearts. "I think i'm starting to feel the same thing...I feel as though we've battled once before? ..Maybe several times...a arena.." She blinked, yes, this was starting to become a little more worrisome in a way. "Why does an arena come to mind? " She shook her head, well, this would be something they could worry about a little later, because regardless of who won or not, she intended to take that moment alone with him to talk, as he suggested they do if he won.
His own confidence made her smile grow, and the faintest giggle escape. "Oh, is that so? Is this the confidence of the king of Renais challenging me to put him down swiftly? " ....She didn't seem to catch herself there, how did she know he was a King at all? She even knew of the name of his Kingdom!
Innes's bow was suddenly free as the magic she had gathered completely faded away , there was no reason to keep it from him now, all the while she dismissed it, her eyes never quite left Ephraim's, as if he were the only person there. Everyone else was kind of background noise, they barely seemed to exist!
Her smile remained, watching his confidant grinning face felt so strangly familiar. "I promise your cute grin won't last very long..I will try not to hurt you TO badly! " She said right back at him, as they soon began to walk away from the group, they must have been so utterly confused as they were left behind!

"Oh boy, look at all these losers..! Playing the game of Kiss-Up with silly flowers and candies..sooo stupid!!" Himea yelled down from the rooftop of one of the larger stores in the city, it seemed to be prime target for all the lover's shopping for their loved ones, yet she sat there watching as people went into the store, only to walk out with what looked to be silk roses, candies and even some with massive plushies.
After watching them for several minutes, the young trouble maker hopped down, gracefully landing directly in front of one of those shoppers! "...Why do that? Picking one day out of the entire year to 'love' the person you're with more because society says to? What a stupid day! PRETTY SURE love is supposed to be everyday, all the time, not one 'let's spoil and waste money ' day! You shouldn't have to suck up to your girlfriend like that. Dummy! "

"...Um, it's..it's not that bad? It's just for fun, with a little playful love for couples! ....And um, you get lots of candies and chocolates...?" Because who didn't like getting chocolates and candy?
"....Are ..you...talking back to me??! " Ren should have just kept her thoughts to herself and stayed the quiet little annoying girl that she was! "Wait, what's that in YOUR hands? ...You're buying something for a booooooooooyfriend? " Seemed a little young to be having a boyfriend, which was funny considering they were both pretty close in ages. "...N-no..I'm not talking back! ..I ..was just saying..." Yes, maybe she should have just kept quiet! "...!" Rin quickly shook her head, hiding the bag behind her. "..No! It's not for anyone..I got these for myself...Y-you can have some...too...if you want!" Himea was a scary, terrifying girl! This wasn't her first run in with her. She quickly took one of the box of chocolates out, holding it out to her to take. "..Ehh? Like I would want any of that sappy garbage and be lowered into a weak love crazed maniac! " The box of chocolates sweet little Ren offered her was suddenly sent into the air, clattering to the ground and spilling out the delicious chocolates everywhere. Himea could be a real problem child when she felt like it. It seemed this day brought that out in her the most.

Mist ran her hand through the pretty soft fur of a lone wolf, petting it's head softly as it rested in her lap. The two were sitting at the water fountain, which happened to be the favorite place of that special mysterious wolf! ..If she only knew. Silly Mist. She was completely oblivious as to who it actually was, or the fact this wolf was able to take a human form. It was kind of humorous, surly to Lily who seemed to be keeping it a secret. Clearly she was enjoying the attention and head-scratches!

"Where did you come from? " She asked as if she would get some sort of an answer. "It's as if the people are used to seeing you here? " It was strange to her, to see a cute wolf just chilling out here and not being chased out. "You must be loved by someone very dearly..Look how pretty that fur is!" Like, really clean. How was this wolf, especially being pure white, so clean? "Hmmm. So mysterious! You must know where all the nice places are, don't you? " She figured if this wolf lived here, which clearly it seemed to with some very nice caring owners, it would know it's way around. Though of course, she didn't expect it to really answer. "I wish you could speak, maybe you could help me find a nice place to visit! Staying here for so long now, really makes me miss ...colorful, lively places. Fields of flowers as far as the eye can see, greenery..." She sighed softly, this city really WAS very gloomy, and it was bringing her own mood down. "....? "
To her surprise, the 'mysterious' wolf raised her head, and suddenly hopped down from the fountain wall, where she took a few steps forward and turned back to Mist, as if she were waiting for her to follow. "..Hmm? ..Oh..! Wait, do you really know a place?? " Well, this was the smartiest wolf in all the world, it actually understood her? Was that even possible?! "Okay! Show me...!"

Belle slipped out a bottled water from a rather large bag she was carrying with her, she had several of them in the bag, along with other supplies making it not the most comfortable thing to carry, but she was used to it, this was just another thing she did daily after work. Next was a tiny bottle that rattled as she picked it out of the bag, and after double checking it's label, she would open the bottle and empty out two pills into a young mans hand, and handing him the bottle of water with it. "Here you go, this should be the last you will need, you should be feeling better? " She asked him with a smile, he returned the same smile as he nodded to her softly. "I'm happy to hear that..thank goodness!" This kind of moment always made everything so worth it. Seeing someone recovering from a horrible sickness. This was the worst part of the slums, where the homeless stayed, and often it attracted a lot of sickness due to their inability to afford medicine or keep up their own hygiene. There was so much she wanted to do for them, house them into their own comfortable homes, but...for now, this was the best she could do. See to it that every sick person on those streets had their health. She couldn't stand to see anyone suffering.."I will come see you later to check on you again.." She smiled, standing up now, unfortunately he was not the only one she needed to tend to. There were a lot of homeless men and woman, even children on the streets still. Her day never quite ended!

She would continue her rounds, going to every person she knew who needed her help, and it would take some time to get to each and everyone, but somehow, the already tired teenager always managed to get by.
That was, until a young blond haired girl appeared suddenly out of no where, directly in front of her. She would recognize her from Avalanche mansion, as the mysterious girl from the future that refused to reveal just who she was besides her first name.. "..Anna...?" She took a step back, for some reason, this girl always made her so nervous. She was kind of..scary in a sadistic kind of way.

"Hello, walking parasite.." She grinned at her. "I think I should be wearing a mask in your presence, but someone like me shouldn't have to go down to such low levels. Interact with the plagues of the city, and spread your disgusting diseases to all the rest of us. That's what you will do if you keep coming to the mansion." She could tell her words were already getting to her, it was a fine sight to see her face fall. "Really, I can't stand your kind! Acting like some sort of angel and tending to all those less fortunate pathetic little souls. It's so annoying! But most importantly, we don't need your diseases, as I said. Just between us, I think it best you leave and never come back to the mansion again. No one wants you there, it's obvious. Why do you think it's so empty? They're all afraid of catching something from you.." Yeah, like THAT was really the reason. Unfortunate that poor innocent Belle was so gullible to believe that...."You get it? Even your own parents are avoiding you, when are they ever around? That should tell you something." Again, not true, they were just so busy with protecting the world and all, something Anna showed no interest in doing herself.
".......I...I've got to go..." She literally had no words to say to her, she didn't know what to say, her anxiety wasn't helping matters ether. She moved past her, hurrying away as quickly as she could. "And remember, stay away from the mansion! "

It wasn't very long after she got dragged off by her older sister back in Esthar, that Luna ....escaped her again. She was quite the escape artist, despite her delicate, innocent appearance, she had some serious determination to..well, stalk her parents where ever they went. Though now she was doing so sneakily, Eirika was here, at the very least. She was content enough knowing that now, which allowed her some time to move around the city in search of someone else, who didn't seem to be in the city at all.
In that time she met a nice young lady of deep vibrant green hair, she saw her helping several people at the time which was a few days ago now, she would now know that girl as Belle, who she developed a trust in, a hard thing to come by when it came to the shy, easily frightened little girl that Luna always seemed to be. And what luck it seemed, to have stumbled on her again, doing the very same thing, only to be confronted by...a cruel, mean girl! Before Luna could manage to get a word out to her, Belle ran off in a hurry, clearly hurt by the blond haired girls words. ".........That...." She tried to say, her words were really not working with her right now. Her nervousness was sure rising, though. All she could do was cuddle her adored winged unicorn plushie closer to her chest, it was kind of her security blanket, in a way! She really was never without it.. "...T-that..was...mean..." She looked down, afraid to make eye-contact with her suddenly! The right thing was to defend a kind person, no matter how scared she was to do it!
"Hmmmm? What do we have here? " Anna's face fell into a twisted smirk as she stepped forward, toward the younger, completely obviously terrified little girl! "Ahahaa...Are you scared of me?" She stopped in front of her, reaching out her hand to force Luna's face up, so that she was forced to look at her. "Good! You should be. I would much love for ALL the world to fear me! Everyone down on their pathetic knees, worshiping the best. ME! " She lowered her hand away from her now, rolling her eyes. "So what are you going to do? Stand there and look like a nervous fool, or attempt to cast a weak, laughable spell on me for insulting your weirdo friend? Maybe the oh-so-scary-Unicorn you hold so tightly will come alive and try to kill me! Ahahaha! That's your magical source, is it not? Otherwise, you must be even stupider then the green one..To talk back to me is considered a sin, to stand up to me a greater one, a sin that I love to bring swift punishment to!" With a wave of her hand, a teal flow of magic seemed to follow her hand as if it were coming from her palm, and suddenly a dark mass of energy ripped open into thin air, what came out of that was a terrible looking creature, the massive nails embedded into it's own body were an even more awful sight, but it didn't seem to be in any pain, oddly enough. As Luna got a better look, had she had the bravery to open her eyes and see, she would see the crimson dragon's eyes locked onto her own. "Meet Death! He's my loyal pal, you may guess by his name what he is used for. My adorable little death bringer.." She reached up, stroking the dragon's face with a twisted grin. "He's gonna eat you up, you know....Unless you fight, your goin' bye-bye! " It began to move toward her, eventually moving around her like a snake, wrapping around her slowly. "Time's running out! If you can't fight me, then do the next best thing. Drop to your knees, and apologize for speaking against me!"

[[ooc: Will finish the rest later when i'm not about to die of boredom.]

While Anna's attention was set on Luna, she wouldn't see who was so quietly approaching her from behind until it was to late. A fist would make a harsh impact with the back of her head, sending her straight down to HER knees. "Hurts, doesn't it? Anyone who attacks a little girl won't be given any mercy from me. " Luna looked to be the same age of her own little sister, Himiya, which only made Layla want to protect her more.
While Anna was down for the moment, she took that time to move on to the dragon, Layla was fast, but she really knew nothing about this girl or her dragon to prepare herself for what surprises it might throw at her. She managed a strike to it's snout, the force enough to send the creature flying several feet back into a nearby building's wall, the force it struck wasn't quite enough to destroy the wall, just crack it a little.
What Layla didn't see however, was the next dragon summoned, this one blue in color, and also ridden with massive spikes through it's body. Layla wouldn't see it coming, it's speed was impossibly fast, even more so then her own, and with her attention on the red dragon, it was impossible to be aware of what was behind her until it was to late, the blue winged dragon came at her full force, swinging its tail around to strike her and send HER into the same wall it's 'friend' was struck into. The red one didn't really even seem affected in anyway, other then becoming more irritated and lethal. The moment Layla's body impacted the wall, one of those spikes in the shape of a massive nail, flew out of the dragon, and straight into her shoulder, where it would strike deeply through it and into the wall, pinning her there. Striking exactly where it did wouldn't make it easy to just pull it out, especially with how large the nail itself was, there was always a risk involved. But more so was the pain she would endure trying to take it out. There was no easy way to do it, and Anna must have known that well enough, she wanted her to suffer, clearly! "Ahaha...Hurts, doesn't it? " That wicked grin returned as she began to walk toward her now. "You see what happens, when you try to protect something? Your own weakness is shown, and you suffer! But this isn't satisfactory to me, not yet. Should I do the other shoulder? Maybe your knees? Oh! God, that would hurt, I would very much LOVE to hear you scream.." She grabbed a hold of the top of the nail, moving it around and twisting it to cause her further pain. "Scream for me, let me see those eyes fill with pained tears..If you satisfy me enough, I won't have to go for your knees!" Oh, how was she going to get out of this one? She may of faced her last enemy.
