Peter stood at the corner of the entrance to the subway waiting for Kalan Playing absent mindedly with this pocket watch.
Late night.. isn't it.
'Why didn't you tell me about Nathen?'
Why would I? You'd get distracted. Can't have you going off looking for him, or stopping to sniff the air every time you catch vampire scent.
'Burn in hell'
Not the first time I've heard that.

Medb wasn't one who enjoyed standing still forever in silence waiting to see if someone was going to do something worth being interested in so she decided to take it upon herself to go do something interesting or to find something interesting happening. Without warning the woman began walking away from both Shinigami and Travis down the subway the opposite way of which Jagger had gone. That vampire seemed to like hoarding attention, which was fine. Medb could take it on as a challenge but instead she decided to simply leave and explore. New York was something that was still new to her, after all.

"A friend or foes approaches near. Oh my, oh dear should I stand clear?"

These would be the first words Peter would hear from Medb's mouth as she approached the somewhat distracted hunter who appeared to be waiting for someone. He seemed interesting enough. Perhaps he would prove some source of entertainment. Hopefully he was not dull or boring to play with, otherwise she might have to move onto others, smaller, bigger, average, better people. One thing was for sure, though, he sure liked talking to his other half and arguing with it.

"From what I can see, distracted you be despite your other half's desires of you keeping your eyes peeled for fiends. And thus here I am to extend my hand in friendship not in loathing."

Likely the first thing Peter would notice was her absolute gorgeous form, her being a succubus and being made to stir desire in even the most unlikely candidates. Those who sought to be with men for example, even turned their gazes to take a look at her, unable to look away for a few moments, eyes captured by her beauty. Of course this spell was an effortless one for her and she went on about her business as though it didn't happen. Her ability to charm was equally as deadly thus she often made superb first impressions even with the most paranoid of beings.

Alexander who had held back while Jagger and the rest had seemed to disappear further into the darkness of the sewer decided he might as well leave also. Deciding he might find some new excitement in the city he quickly went over below a manhole and shot a single shot at it. The manhole quickly popped up allowing him to jump up to the streets above, where he walked a couple steps to where his Lamborghini was parked. Quickly getting inside, he revved up the engines and stomped on gas pedal, putting the car into first gear, and speeding off into the bright lights of the city.

Peter glanced over at her a small smile playing on his lips..
"What toying words you bring."
His eyes glazed over her briefly.
"So observant you are.. I'll tell you if a stand friend or foe if you tell me your name my dear."

Medb naturally smiled back, likely serving to increase her charm. The playfulness was fully intended to bring about misconstrued assumptions based on her words and her actions. She was being quirky as well as somewhat naieve in her impression and seeing as she honed herself to convince she usually did a pretty decent job. Her own smile remained plastered upon her lips, eyes expectant as she awaited his response and upon hearing it only grinning a little more so.

"Toys are things to play with while words are tools for one to twist and misconstrue. Of decent stature I descend from, I assure you."

She bowed to him momentarily as his eyes raked over her. No one could out right resist the calling of her succubus side though while she certainly was a magnet for the eyes she remained something often beyond most people's reach. The charm, though, was often something people found difficult to get past but the hardest thing that always got them in the end was her quirkiness. By no means did this woman go about things normally and her abnormal ways seemed to have friends and foes alike flocking to her at the end of the day.

"My name? What is a name, truly? Is it the name that matters or the being themself? Does the name relate to the face or the nature? Perhaps you have a better name for me than the one I happen to go by. Shall I call you a unique name that describes you as opposed to calling you Peter or shall I refer to you by your given name? If you wish to know, though, others know me as Medb."

((Sorry. I've been sick these past few days. n_n Having trouble looking at the screen for long periods of time due to a throbbing headache. I hate the flu season.. n_n''))

Kalan slowed to a stop, suddenly sensing both vampire and lycan presence. Though she had been on many a hunt with her family and was definitely more adept than your average human, Kalan had always played the bait. After all, she was the one who could draw people close to her for no apparent reason. And as such she was never the first to attack, which left her at somewhat of a disadvantage as to proper combat etiquette. But when the strong scent of vampires hit her, she knew at least one was close, and hardly liked the idea of a fight. She stayed to the brightly lit sidewalk and followed the buildings closely, glancing to the shadows for movement.

All she had to do was find the three select security cameras which her brother had been caught on and see how they related in proximity. Somewhere off in the back of her jumbled mind, filled with flashing unreadable trains of thought, she could feel Asher's presence. He was even deeper into bloodsucker territory than she was. The girl mumbled to herself, tying her long straight blond hair back into a pony tale. "If he's out hunting on their lands I might just kill him myself." Her pale cheeks held only a light pink tint. A reminder of the fever being caused by a certain seal. Even though she was void of color, the small girl could still feel her heartbeat, and was reassured of life even in such shadowed anxiety caused by the dark city night. She lifted her crystal eyes to the traffic cam above the street, walking halfway into the open. Camera number one was clearly lined up with the subway entrance. A joyful grin beamed on Kalan's childish face. She was one step closer to finding Aiden.

He laughed.
"Peter? My dear, that is not my name. Though indeed Peter stands here, I am not he. And though Medb your powers of observation and your attention to wielding even the minutest normally unrecognizable aspects of manipulation and influence are extremely inexpressive and commendable for one of your young age I must confess you could know no sort of name that could describe my, how did you put it.. Uniqueness. Though I have been called many names in my time, My real name, is not for your kind of beings to hear. And do not get me wrong, when I say your kind.. I am referring to everything that exists... This is a sad fact of the world for me, but it is not something to be dwelt on. As I said before your skills are extremely impressive, It's been decades sense I've seen any come close. For that I applaud and bow to your skill." He gave a short bow before returning to his stance leaning against the wall of the subway entrance.. he could feel a presence.
She should be here shortly.

Kalan's blue eyes remained focused on the camera as she slowly strayed out into the street. No cars were running this late in this particular part of the city, and in all truth, the small girl honestly couldn't have cared less had there been. She walked steadily until she was directly below the device. Keeping her eyes on it, she thought. If her twin brother had been caught by this one but not the one just down the block from it, how had he arrived here? She smiled, finally having realized the answer. He had been using the city's extensive subway system to his advantage, hiding in shadow, while remaining so far within vampire territory, that the hunters would assume his death.

But Kalan had found him. She could feel him close. The silver ring on her right hand so delicately twisted in Celtic knot work, a gift from her father and the very one that helped channel her powers, burned faintly. It reacted to the sudden excess of flowing energy within her. The energy summoned when she and Aiden touched. The energy that had allowed the sickly ten year old little girl to rip a beast to shreds using wind. It coursed through her now, resonating with her core and drawing back memories of that dark night. She could almost feel the heavy weight of those golden eyes still on her to this day. Even thought it was dead, that murderous wolf haunted her dreams and thoughts constantly.

Kalan flicked her right arm up, a movement barely noticeable to the naked eye, and small dagger slit the connecting wires to the traffic camera. She tugged gently with one finger, and the blade came whistling back to her hand, guided by a strong but thin wire linking up in her sleeve. As soon as the weapon was palmed Kalan sensed a dark presence. She recognized it, but couldn't pick out where. The feeling of dread slowly was seeping into her. It was deathly familiar. Like a premonition. The ancient, overwhelming, sensation she couldn't fully remember tugged at childhood memories of playing in the deep forests of her island home, just off the coast of Ireland. A long long time ago. Her eyes tinted a pale green, changing with her interests in adventure. Her sharp senses quickly picked up two individuals standing off in darkness by the subway entrance. One emitted the aura of a demon, the girl. But the other... Kalan felt curiously and momentarily fascinated, but quickly let it pass and moved closer. After all, she would have to pass them eventually to get down there.

The girl adjusted her long gray coat and it's large claw shaped buttons as she walked. The jacket's seems and around the wrists held a darker gray, possibly black tint. The skirt barely hidden by the jacket's bottom, which brushed her mid thigh, was a faded black, and the white collar of her button up shirt(tied with red ribbon in place of a bow or tie) was neatly tucked around her neck beneath the coat's large neck and hood. In sharp contrast to her clothing, the small girl was strikingly pale and petite, having long almost white-blond hair and bright innocent eyes which gazed dreamily to invisible stars. To others she looked to be about fifteen, but only Kalan's family knew the truth, she was nineteen and stunted age wise because she had accidentally used some of the vampire's aging flaws when fighting it. Kalan was painfully aware of her appearance as she attempted not to stare on her way to the entrance. The next camera she needed to see was down below the earth's surface, and watched the northbound transit train. She tried to keep her eyes to the black calf high boots which had taken so long to lace up.

Peter looked over across the road..
I knew it that's her..
'Get out!'
What. Why?
'Because it's a kid and your not acting like anything that could be trustworthy, she would take one glance at you and think your the enemy'
Forgive me if I'm intimidating.
'No, out. Your a lone wolf, your not a team player. I know what you said before, but this kind of work your not use to. Let me handle this one, if I need you then it's all yoursm ok.'
I guess you have a point, very well Peter. But do not place any blame or failures of your fault on my head after this. Understand?
'Clearly.'

Peter blinked. His eye's seemed to soften, his grinn more warm then amused... He reached into his phone and sent out a message to the girl.

Nathen slept in an ally near the subway entrance buried under a mound of news papers.. He wasn't truly asleep.. but he wasn't awake.. He was pale and thin, and very, very tired.. he wished he could sleep.. truly sleep just once..

[[ Yo. This is me, just on a different account because gaia's glitching and being dumb. ]]

"Hm ... I suppose I should be more cautious when dragging a name from someone's thoughts then. They're jumbled, the thoughts of men. I see what's happening here. Striking deals with the formerly human host. The war veteran trusting the instincts of the beast and allowing it to compromise for such that is his weakness. It makes sense now and peaks my interest. Unique you surely are but you shouldn't get carried away with judgements such as how old or young I am. A being without a name for being of my kind and other alike to hear."

"Now a distraction presses near. Whom is it you wait for, nameless being? A she no doubt and then it comes together. This girl is young and no where near the end of her tether. Of Irish origins? Ah. Wonderful. A task it must be and one of these fabeled hunters of New York I'm beginning to picture you as. There now it comes together but who is these others. A Meredith and a Veroen ... Hm, interesting enough to ponder upon."

She smiled as she probed his mind without the slightest sign of doing so nor being cautious to hide the fact she was. This man, though he was not in his entirety a man any longer, seemed to have his boldness on his side. While being bold could bring one victory it could also bring one arrogance and lead one to see himself as superior. Well unfortunately for this being she was older than young. Not that age would be the sole thing to assist her should she be drawn forward into preserving herself.

"And now the one called Peter draws forward and the object of his game changes."

Medb observed this with a pleasant smile and stood back while he made his efforts to contact this Irish girl he was to meet. She stood by eagerly awaiting to see what this Peter was like. Certainly someone who trusted his other side yet was not fully at ease with it. An interesting decision seeing as humans did not often strike deals with those they did not feel they could fully trust. There were limits but would his beastie follow them? Who was to know?

A man standing almost seven feet tall made his way down a very shady flight of stairs heading down to the subway level. The man wore a black leather trench coat that was clearly been in use for a long time, since the black leather was faded with some signs of mistreatment. The man's coat was unbuttoned and he wore no shirt underneath, so his ebony chest was exposed revealing a massive chest. Under his coat, the man wore a black pair of cargo trousers and a pair of black combat boots.

As the man walked down the stairs his turquoise eyes ran pass the graffiti that littered the walls in his path. A soft snicker left the man's lips as he walked pass a particularly large and neon green graffiti. 'Parmax'.

"Rubish" The man chuckled softly under his breath as he passed. How interesting was the city. The name kept fluttering around as he made his way deeper into the subterranean public transport system. He reached the dark platform in a few minutes later. There where a few people inside, all trying to avoid anyone else's gaze and trying to conceal their personal paranoia.

The man stood in the middle of the platform, his turquoise eyes scanning the dim lighted room. There where a few couples and a few scattered young men around... and one barely lucid homeless old man on the corner, sleeping. A large white grin flashed across the man's face, he looked rather delicious.

It did not appear that anyone in the platform wanted to notice the smelly old man sitting on the floor. So the man walked towards the homeless man. He leaned on the wall that the other was sleeping on. About five minutes later the train arrived, on the opposite of the platform. When the train passed, the noise died down and the platform was left empty.

The man had instantly grabbed the sleeping man and snapped his neck. Soundlessly, the black man took the dead man onto the empty track and made his way into the darkness.
PostPosted: Sat Sep 19, 2009 4:41 am

The dark figure lifted the dead man onto its broad shoulder and rested him as a bag of potatoes. He was walking along the dark track, pondering for a good spot were to enjoy his meal. He figured that train back at the platform was a last round to pick up any strays before calling it a night, so that he was free to use the vast tunnels as he saw fit. Sadly, the newcomer was mistaken, that train back at the platform was certainly not the last one.

A faint sound perked the man's ears. The sound of moving metal, the train was coming along those very same tracks which he was walking, and worst of all was that he was heading towards the incoming train. With a very annoyed expression the man's eyes rushed to all sides, trying to find a way to exit the tunnels- a door, a gate, a hole in the ground, anything.

Not very far away, he saw it; there was a small gate that seemed to connect to a relatively large sewer further underground. The man dashed to the small gate and kicked it in, it unhinged from whatever was holding on to it and fell into what sounded as very shallow water. The man did not give a second thought to it, he tossed the dead body into the sewer and dropped down into it.

Nathen's eyes shot open, bloodshot and dark with lines of black and red stemming to the retina. He shook under the newspapers in the darkness of the ally with rage. He felt the old man's neck slapping he could see this.. arrogant murderer walking off with the body. Darkness enveloped him, he vanished from his resting place in the ally, walking out from the spot the old homeless man had slept.. His teeth where clenched with anger and hate.. "Arrogant, baster..."
He fallowed the trail, a trail that no one else could see, but the shadows had watched this man leave, and so Nathen had watched him go as well. Nathen trudged slowly after the man.. fallowing down the tracks.. The train was coming, Nathen paid it no mind. Dirt on the tracks shook as the train neared, he walked on the tracks, the light from the train outlining his form.. shadows and webs fo darkness creeping from the ground and the air enveloping him twisting to him like smoke drawn from some hell spiders web. Nathen didn't even turn his head to watch the train hit him. Yet as the train was barreling past he walked out the other side, as if a ghost.
"..You can't hid from me.." his eye's seethed with hate.

((where are you pulling Meredith and Veroen from?))

Peter put away his phone and looked up..
'he is here..'
I already informed you of that.. stay on task now.

Peter looked over to the woman, Medb.
He bowed slightly..
"Peter, a pleasure to meet you Medb." his tone was of an English gentlemen as well as his posture.
"And yes my Demones I am a Hunter. Allow me to beg your apologize for my other parts ruddiness. He see's everyone as young you see.. "

Kalan's phone buzzed angrily against her leg from its place in the large pocket. She slid her hand in quickly and flipped it open. "Ah.." The girl's eyes fluttered up to the sender of the text. Thoughts flowed together with flashing images in a wild train of thought only Kalan could understand as she contemplated possible outcomes. After a moment of walking she decided to go with option number five taking into account the type of demon and the looming weight she felt around the man. She closed the phone gently with both hands and put it back in her pocket approaching the two shadowed figures, not having lost a bit of her momentum. Kalan smiled brightly, tilting her head to one side. "I'm not done here yet! I'll just be a minute!" She said cheerily, despite her dark surroundings.

She slipped past the man going between him and the demon woman, whose scent made Kalan wince. The girl had met this kind before. They were hard to get rid of, finding life more like a game, and even though she was immune to mind probing it had always irked her when demons looked at her like a toy. She had never particularly liked demons, but had never been truly scared of one either. They were her specialty after all. The thin silver ring burned against her finger, only adding to the rush of thoughts crashing together, mixing with sporadic energies. She hadn't been away from Aiden in so long, she had forgotten just how much of an influence they held over each other. Her crystal eyes flitted up to the woman's as she passed. This one was particularly strange, and Kalan was thankful to her mother for the ancient cross which hung around her neck.
