"A rabbit?" Tomo asked, turning his head to the side. "Can't say that I've ever taken care of one. I suppose just give it water and carrots and hay and stuff..." He replied, tapping his chin, "Why? You find one?"

"No, I was going to get one for Lily. Would that be alright?"

Tomo smiled, "I'm sure she'll love it!" He assured Arlen. "I still have no idea what to get Kaia, so you're a step ahead of me."

"Yeah, well I still don't know what I'll need to get the rabbit, or where I could keep it until the right time. And I don't know how I'm going to afford it either," Arlen said as he fingered his few remaining coins in his pocket.

Tomo bit his lower lip and shuffled his foot. "Well, you could always keep it in the back room. And... I could offer you a temporary job here until Christmas if you need a little extra cash."

"Really? That would be great. Bu could you afford it Tomo? I mean, you don't charge for anything. How do you make money?"

"Actually, I've started selling the moosechillas in the shed. I guess people are really impressed 'cause they're paying through the nose for them!" He said, "Before that, Rin's assassin work and Sapphire's flying piglet deals brought in a lot of gold as well."

"Oh," Arlen said. "Well in that case I just have one more question. What's a moosechilla?"

"Well, it's a moose crossed with a chinchilla." Tomo explained, "Sapphire found them in the chinchilla stable out back after a nasty moose infestation."

"That makes very little sense, but I'll accept it," Arlen said setting his half finished water down. "So what would you like me to do around here?"

Tomo leaned back and glanced around. "Hmm..." The bar was clean and there were no customers at the moment, "Just wait, I suppose. Nothing to do, really."

Ellie came inside from the back, clutching a crumpled brown paper sack in one hand, and waving with the other, as she made her way directly into the kitchen. There was a few clashes and sounds of dishes hitting the sink, then water running. Within a few minutes of washing, there was no evidence of what she had been doing, and the bag ended up crumpled and empty as she walked out and over to the fire to throw it in, and it burnt away.
"Hiya, Tomo... Thought about Kaia's gift?" she asked, smiling and rubbing her cold nose with un-gloved hands.

"I'm fine!" He told Arlen, then turned to Ellie, ears drooping. "Thought about it, but nothing's coming up." He replied, sitting down at the bar.
Baizou stirred, but only enough to turn over on the couch, the tip of his tail swaying only a little bit.
