Aurora floated a little more towards Joe, still being invisible, partially from the light of the sun.
Zaro shivered and instinctively moved closer to her master, despite her distrust in him...
Varien merely shook his head once. "No..." He kept anything he might have said to Joe's comment to himself. No need to waste time right?
He stared more at Joe. "If you have further business state it now or leave..."
Aurora huffed and sent the door slamming on Varien who sidestepped, expecting such a reaction from the ghost. "How rude..."
The stoat calmly opened the door, not at all angered. "Aurora...It was not rude...He has no business being here as he is not getting to the point, thus he can leave.

He shrugged, so Varien wasn't a ventriloquist and the female voice didn't belong to him. It wasn't a problem, yet.
Before he had the chance to point out what 'further' business he had here, the door slammed shut, leaving him looking slightly stunned before looking behind him at Zaro.
"Ghost?"
He asked her, figuring it was either an elaborate practical joke, one he couldn't see the stoat to play, or he had just met the house ghost he had heared about.
As the door opened again, his mood changed to dark.
"Let me repeat myself. She needs a safe place, if at all possible, female free, whilst I talk to Arioch"
Whilst still talking, he put his hand on Varien's shoulder so as to move the man out of his way and entered the house, before looking back at him.
"You think you can handle not sleeping with her whilst I'm discussing demon business?"

Zaro shrugged and just remained quiet. If it was a ghost, she wasn't going to anger it...but she did feel a tell tale chill down her spine from Aurora's presence. She folded her arms and hugged herself.
Varien's hand removed Joe's from his shoulder, plucking it off as though it were a feather and not the least bit concerned about the results. "And what of you, Joe? Don't you need a safe place yourself? You think you can handle being in a place without sleeping with someone?"
It was a deliberate challenge from the stoat...and hewas demanding and a bit authorative... He wouldn't touch the bird....not to sleep with anyway.
"I'm sure since you seem to have been here before you can find someone else to play birdwatch. "
Aurora piped up. "I'll watch her!"
Zaro blinked and shuddered. Something about a ghost watching her seemed unlikely...

Jealousy watched as Alexis drifted off, shaking her head slightly. The poor thing seemed so tired. She chose not to speak or move to disturb her. Rather, she chose the opportunity to close her own eyes and doze off into a light state, somewhere halfway between dreams and waking.

He had no problems with having his hand removed from Varien's shoulder, though Varien's challenge made him smirk.
"You think you can exist without food?"
He countered it. He needed sex the way people needed food, if Varien could go without food, he'd be amazed. Most people he knew needed to eat to survive.
At Varien's almost outright refusal to look after Zaro, he looked at Zaro, noting how uncomfortable she looked, then looked back at Varien, some type of amusement in his eyes.
"I'm sure I could, I just seem to be a little short on time and given Zaro's mental status.. Oh, Lady Aurora, I was hoping you'd be able to accompany me to Arioch's chambers"
He smiled into the direction of the ghostly voice and offered his arm to her as any gentleman would to a lady, ignoring Varien completly now. He had no intentions of offending the ghost but had equally no intentions of letting Aurora near Zaro, more because Aurora had been a female before she became a ghost and he had some inkling of how Zaro felt about females at this point in time. Thus, inviting her to take him to Arioch's chambers seemed to be the best way of getting her out of Zaro's way.

"Can you?" He returned with a small secret smile before turning on his heel and walking away. He wasn't a babysitter or a birdsitter. He wasn't going to be left with the charge either. He didn't care.
Zaro blinked as she lifted careful eyes to watch the stoat walk away. She even stared at her master like he lost it.....Him talking to a ghost?
Aurora smiled sweetly and whispered softly, "Even I am not fooled. You play a gentleman well but we know you are a scoundrel....a rogue that would capture any young lady's heart."
She went 'through' Joe as she walked by, being the transparent ghost she was and giving the cold chilling feeling something was there but unseen until she stepped into a few shadows. A faint figure of herself appeared and she smiled in a playful manner.
"I'm sure your lady friend there is only threatened by certain types of women....but if you need a bird sitter, try your daughter's pet dragon." She had a sharp tongue, even if a little foolish. Then again, she had died in a very old world and she behaved like a lady of that day, if still what she was.
Zaro squeaked with her eyes wide. She was only a little afraid and that was that all around fear of the unknown as she scuttled closer to her master yet kept from touching him.
"Besides....The Demon is being entertained as we speak..."

"Nah"
He replied in Varien's direction before swearing. The guy was supposed to keep Zaro entertained, at least for a bit. With that failing he turned his attention back to Aurora.
"You don't believe I can be both?"
He asked with a small amount of amusement in his voice. The ghost had grasped the situation far better than the stoat. He couldn't help but look her up and down as she revealed herself though, even if it was more or less hidden.
"Death certainly came at the right time, my Lady"
He complimented her on her ghostly looks before listening to her suggestions on who should look after Zaro. He turned to Zaro, whom he had felt move closer to him whilst he talked to Aurora.
"Would you feel safe in the company of her dragon?"
He asked Zaro, prefering her to make that type of choice, especially as Sonia was a dragon.
A knowing grin spread over his face as the ghost revealed that Alexis was being entertained.
"It is good to hear my daughter is exploring her options"

Zaro nodded. "I do not mind his company."
She ruffled her feathers before folding her wings in. Maybe it would help talking to someone else about whatever was going on...Still her hands were clasped together.
Aurora gave him a tiny smile. "Death came too soon..." She didn't let on to which demon she'd been referring too, leaving the incubus to believeshe spoke of his daughter.

If Zaro thought the dragon was ok to be around, then he'd locate the damn dragon for her. He wanted her safe despite what he might or might not be feeling when it came to Andras.
"You're beatiful even now, had you lived, you'd have aged"
He assured Aurora, once again taken with the ghost.
He had just been walking around the house with no real purpose or need to be anywhere. His mistress was quite happy entertaining an old friend of hers which left him with spare time.
What drew him towards the door, he had no idea, though once he saw who was standing there, he went to hurry away. If there was one lesson he didn't need to learn it was not to get too close to the incubus who stood in the doorway.
Alexis feeder hadn't moved out of the way fast enough and Joe had spotted him.
"Andras!"
He did not let on that he had hoped to avoid Joe as he turned and moved towards them, silent except for the chains that he wore. Once close enough to not need to raise his voice, he bowed, awaiting whatever it was his mistress father wanted of him.
For once, there was no sexual thought as the dragon drew near, not that it stopped him from being as blunt and arrogant as usual around Andras.
"You think you can look after Zaro for a bit without harm coming to her?"
He inquired coldly.
The request came as a suprise, though he did not show it, rather, he looked to where Zaro stood, noticing not only that she looked unwell, but the small tell tale signs of things not being right with her and her master.
A quick encouraging smile showed before his face went blank again and he answered.
"yes Sir"
"Great"
With the dragon having acknoweldged capabilities of looking out for the bird, Joe completly ignored both prefering to flirt with the ghost, the thought of how he could lay this one had already made its way through his mind twice.
"Lady Aurora, would you accompany me? I have some things I'd like to discuss with you"
Whilst the smile on his face would indicate to her the type of things he wanted to talk to her about, he also wanted to talk to her about Zaro and why he'd made sure no woman was around his bird for now.

Aurora needed no explination to the bird's reaction... let alone to what was possibly on the incubus' mind. She simply smiled sweetly and turned to 'walk' away though no sound issued from her steps.
She stopped once and glanced over her shoulder, her long strawberry blonde hair cascading down her back as she moved. "Comming?"
She beared no harm....for now to people. But she couldn't be slept with....
Zaro glanced up Andras with a small smile before moving further from her master so he could follow the ghost. It seemed they both had problems with the incubus she called master.
She was still visibly pale but she was trying to hide her sudden dislike for Joe, rather her sudden distrust in him....

A mischivious smile played across his face as he nodded once before following Aurora. She had him fascinated. Not only pretty, but ghostly, making any sort of feeding off her a challenge.
By the time the two had moved out of Zaro's hearing range, he was still no closer to figuring out how to sleep with the ghost.
Instead of keeping his thoughts occupied with that, he decided to be blunt and tell Aurora why females around Zaro were a bad idea.
"Zaro's had a bad encounter with a few women, I'd prefer no female to come near her for a bit whilst she gets over feeling sick"
He watched Aurora and Joe depart before turning to Zaro and smiling.
"How about we get you a warm drink, you look like you could use something to calm you"

Aurora tilted her head.
"You think every female is a threat to her...You seem to not care for the bird yet you put out orders that very few go near her. Perhaps it's a bluff from the incubi...."
She sniffed a little. "That bird's only scared of certain types of women. And it looks like you haven't done much to really keep that in mind." She tsked. No she didn't know what went on in the Skase Villa...but she held her own little secrets....
Zaro turned to Andras and nodded a little. She wanted to calm down but she held fear, paranoia and distrust in her.
"He knew...and he did nothing..."
Zaro was confused. Her old master would have kept her safe, would have done things. She was still learning about Joe and her mind was still trapped in the world of Melnibone...

He agreed with her, maybe it was, he wasn't sure.
"Or perhaps, I would just prefer to keep her temptation away from me for a while whilst looking out for her interest"
He'd let the ghost try and work that one out.
"he knew what?"
He asked, guessing that whatever had happened, it had happened because Joe had been too foolish to do anything to stop it. He had seen this before, when his mistress found out who her mother was and found out that her father had kept the secret from both her and her mother for years. No-one seemed to know what was going through the mind of that incubus, not that it was Andras' place to wonder what was.
"come, lets go to the kitchen and get you that drink"
He encouraged her.

Aurora blinked. "Either that or you just don't care..."
She turned around to walk, dropping the subject. Her skirts swished a little as she walked, her hands kept in front of her.
Zaro lowered her eyes and hugged herself.
"He knew what happened...but he didn't stop anything...or them..."
She moved slowly for the kitchen, not sure if she could drink anything. Her stomach had stopped churning...but she was still pale and was in a slight state of shock.
