The Librarian kicked the Recorder. What with all the sitting she did, she occasionally exercised as she read, mainly the bottom half of her body. And she practiced kicking in her spare time, for kicks. (Pun intended.) She giggled to herself. Teehee, puns.

"Look." The Recorder said, slightly angry. "I fixed your TARDIS, so the least you can do is let me stay the night in it. And plus, I've at least passed the piloting test, unlike your precious Doctor."

"I think we're done here." Van said feeling like two were sufficiently distracted enough for them to get away before the pair noticed. "Not to mention I'd like to try to avoid picking up any more hitchhikers after last time..." he muttered so only Mala could hear him as he led the way to the inn and they could figure out their plans in peace. They were low on cash, Van's powers were getting weaker to the point where it could affect his health, and they still needed to find eternal life for Mala.

{Yeah. sweatdrop I'm going to wing it after this post, so please forgive any crapitude I put out.}
"Yeah, good idea." Mala murmured in response as quietly as she could, following Van and hoping that no more drama would ensue until everything was over and done with.
~*~
Vivium couldn't help but sense an aura that she hadn't in a very long time - one that was approaching her current location, in fact! If she wasn't mistaken...it was Van's! She bit her lip, remembering her father's orders and the many spats between Van and Atius that always seemed to go on.

"Yep, I think we managed to get away." Van said looking over his shoulder to see if the pair were following them as he opened the door to the inn, holding it open for the rest of the group to go inside.

"Well," said the Recorder, "if logic won't work on you, perhaps an appeal to something else might." The Recorder stood up, and grabbed the Librarian's waist. "I'm so lonely," he whispered.

"I like the cute one," Angel said as she entered, taking her baby from Riley and looking at Van. "Can the lady stay with us? At least for a little while?"
The Librarian frowned. "Okay, that just sounded desperate." She pushed the Recorder away. "And a little creepy. I am ninety-nine-point-three-six percent sure I have a stungun on my person and one hundred percent sure I have my sonic screwdriver, and yours." She held it up. It wasn't hard to pickpocket him, the way he was clinging to her.

The Recorder backed away, but not before taking back his sonic screwdriver. "It was worth a shot," he said, shrugging. "But I'm willing to wager that you're just as lonely as I am, aren't you? No one to talk to, no one that can understand, at least. I'll admit that my previous regeneration was, to put things simply, a jerk. But I've changed! And, as I'm very sure you've realized, I fixed your TT Device. Surely you can at the very least allow me sanctuary?"
