He waited for Kisa downstairs.
Hope continued to give chase.

Kisa ran the rest of the way down and looked around.
Shane stopped about halfway, sighed, and started going back up.
"Going after Kisa," Jake elaborated.

"Probaly not now that everyone else has," Faith replied.
"Well? You're down here," the man said to Kisa.
Hope stopped behind her and looked back for Shane, but he had gone. This made her loose some of her nerve.

Shane stopped just before the doorway to the basement.
"Why is there some sort of a leash connecting them?" Kisa demanded angrily. "It's not natural, and I figure since you have all this you had something to do with it," she continued, motioning at all the things in the lab.

"Kill him too," Mion whispered into Kisa's ear. She had returned while Kisa was on her walk, but hadn't made herself known.
"I thought we got rid of you!" Kisa screamed. "Leave me alone!"
"The girls didn't do a very good job, it seems," Mion said.

"If you really want to help them, you'll kill him," Mion said. She began to control Kisa, and Kisa reached for her knife. She struggled against Mion, but Mion guided her towards the girls' father.

The man sighed. "You sure are a bothersome demon," he commented and moved much quicker than he appeared capable of. He jabbed a dart into her arm, that would have made her completely loose control of her body.

Kisa fell to her knees and her knife skidded away.
Mion retreated quickly. She didn't want to be around when Kisa got hurt.
