"Do you think she'll have him come back?" Sanvi asked. "Is he like an errand boy for her or something?" His voice sounded unfamiliar, that's why she asked.

"No, he's more than an errand boy," Garin said. "He's more like a head butler, only he does dangerous stuff."

Sanvi supposed she wasn't particularly surprised by this. "I never knew she had a butler, though I guess I should have suspected...." she said. "She just sent him here to say hi?"

"She probably thought we might have run into trouble, and sent him in case we needed help," Garin said.

Sanvi nodded again. "Is Cyrwys still frightened of me?" she asked him after a few moments.

Sanvi shook her head. "It wouldn't have been..." she said. "I killed her entire family in front of her..." She began to cry a little, feeling horrible for what she'd done. "A-and then I...I kidnapped her and the man wanted her for something..."

Garin held her and rocked with her, letting her cry and trying to comfort her some.

Sanvi was still sobbing and would be for a little while. "I'm horrible..." she sobbed.
Cyrwys began to wake up after a little while. She heard Sanvi crying so she stayed quiet.
