Zahar nodded and then looked around the room once more. She wondered what she could put the berries in. Scooting outside she cleaned up her supplies and took a piece of darker fabric to wrap the berries in. Walking back to the stone cottage Zahar left her kit beside the cottage door frame and then waved to SK good bye. They headed north through the forest.

Zahar and Mavrick didn't take too long to find the berries. She figured SK had told the critter what she was looking for. She started to pick them and waved Mavrick off to fool around while she did.

Zahar wasn't the only one who was out picking berries for food. Sei had migrated to this portion of the wood, remember that here is where wild berries had once grown. He was in his typical clothing: tattered, hand made pants and sleeveless shirt with a dark brown cloak over it. A staff in his hand. His long black hair hung braded down his back.

Mavrick scooted around now and then braking a branch or too in the brush. She wouldn't have noticed Sei's light foot steps for another masks, expecting it just to be Mavrick.

He did, for sounds meant things were around. And some things might be Rade, wondering out of their territory. He glanced around, then almost jumped at the sight of Zahar.

She looked so much like her.... Especailly in those clothes. It reminded him of past things. He shrugged off the pain that threatened to return, the lose of her, his twin. It was the whole reason why he had been more hesitant in seeing her than any of the others. Even Nika.

He went to a near by tree, leaning up against it and watched her a moment before gently placing the cartoony image of him watching her, in her mind.

Zahar started at the image hesitating and wondering if she was going crazy. She vaugely recognized the person in her mind. Standing she turned around in the area and saw Sei. H-hello? Maybe she should go back to the forge. Her eyes were a bit frightened.

He couldn't help it. A very small snort escaped him with that look, also making him relax more. He then started to place more images, and sounds, in to her mind in the same gental fashion.

Ones of Io staying at his place, calling him uncle. Photographs of Io and Zahar as little kids, playing in a kid's swimming pool. The some images of him and Nika talking, he and Shiva talking. Of Ice, and of Trinity. All were gently moving though her mind as if to sooth her.

'I'm Seishoku.' He said softly. 'Your uncle.' Sei... king of suddelity.

Zahar gulped and took a step back. You know what happened that night do you not? Why are you here? She now looked sad and a little relieved. So many questions ran through her head. Mostly though she was ashamed and worried what he would think of her actions. Io and Nika do not have their masks on?

'I know what happened, as I am sure you do.' He said carefully as he watched her. She was like a scared rabbit, finally being confronted with something she didn't want to, but at the same time, she wanted the confrontation.

'You tell me.' He added with a small shrug, but he didn't leave the place at the tree.

Zahar shivered and hugged herself. 'I did not mean to do it uncle you have to believe me... I was tricked.' She looked down at her feet eyes welling slightly. 'Lyra told me it would be for a light show, I did not think that she would lie to me, that she would teach me something so terrible as the curse. And... and when I saw Io and Kasai, I grabbed the first spell I had on my mind.' Zahar turned her back to Sei and slouched into herself a bit.

He studied her carefully. 'Your emotions changed what Lyra taught. But tell me.... why would you use such a thing on your sister?' He asked her, though his mental voice was not angry or blaming.

'I... She was...' Zahar blushed the skin around her mask going a bit more orange then yellow. 'Kasai and her were really close, and the way that they were... I got jealous. I wanted more then anything to blind them and run away. It was supposed to be a happy night. It was supposed to be a night for Kasai and myself.' She started to tear up and she looked her uncle in the eyes. 'I got jealous though, I got angry and jealous. I cause us all to be locked up and I can not fix it. I can not save the ones who had their masks broken. I killed so many from my childish reaction to something that could have been explain... but I did not want to hear it.'

He was such a sucker for tears. Sei let out a silent sigh, moving from the tree and over to her. Then he, hesitently, pulled her to in in a small hug. Such close contact was resurved for only those really dear to him, so he endured it.

'What did you learn from it?' He then asked.

She cried lightly on her shoulder for a few moments before softly speaking to him again, 'That I have to think before I act. I should have waited to ask Io what really happened.' She looked up into Sei's eyes still crying lightly. 'What if nothing was happening at all. I just jumped to a conclusion that I should not have.' Wiping her mask cry she took a little step away from her uncle. 'I am sorry, I just seem to be emotional these days. I even ran away from the base. I do not know how to tell everyone what happened, or even if I should. I do not even remember everything as of yet.'

He let her pull away with ease. 'They are remembering. Io is no longer mad at you. Nor is Nika, your father, nor Shiva who also remembers. Mistakes happen.' He told her lightly, then he was silent before speaking again. Once more watching her.

'You look so much like your mother...'

'I hardly remember mother... Just music.' Zahar humed a couple of seconds of an old tune and then her eyes squinted a bit. 'I can not remember more then that. It was beautiful though, that is all I can remember. Do you know it?'

He gave a light snort as the tuned played in her mind. But this voice was slightly different from her mothers. 'Our mother used to sing that.' Ah, more old things return. He had hardly ever spoke of his parents. Truefully, that was where the most fuzziness of his memory was. He remember some things, like the song, and voices, laughing, even some crying.

She remembered some things, but possibly the hardest thing was remembered.

'It was my grandmothers tune as well. I wish I remembered more. You say I look something like her? I do not remember what she looked like at all.' Her eyes were a sad smile. 'I just remember that night the most. I have troubles remembering much good in my past. I guess that is why I am having so much trouble.'

'I think it would be safe, if you want to remember.' He told her calmly, watching her. 'I can remove your mask as I have removed Nika's, Io's, Shiva's and Lyra's. But it can be... over whelming.' And a real headache for him. The mask was hindering him and his recoving ability. Something he was slowly over coming... but still...

'You are the one who has been removing them? How could you do that with your mask still on? You must be very powerful.' Zahar nodded slowly. 'I would really like to remember more... I want to know the good, and not just what I have done wrong to all of us. I have been nothing but hard on myself since I started to remember.' She looked down again. 'If you think it would be all right I would like to try.'

A small flush crept up the back up his neck at that flattery. How odd... his magic was so useless before this all happened. Well, useless unless you wanted to go hunting, or sneeking cookies from a cookie jar.

'My element is Silence, I can silence spells and sounds.' He told her lightly, then crouched to the ground. 'Sit, don't want you to fall when you faint. All faint from it.'

Zahar nodded and tried to look aerious, but really she was a bit frightened about what may happen. Sitting infront of her uncle she waited. 'Ok I think I am ready. Do you require me to close my eyes or anything?'

'If you wish.' He said, placing his hands over her mask. 'Memories and power will hit you. Why others faint from it. Why we are close to the ground. Ready?' He asked, one last time.

Zahar nods again very slightly. 'As ready as I can get. Will you be here when I wake?'

'No, possibly not, but I wil make sure you are ok.' He told her, then closed his own eyes, focusing in on detaching the spell on the mask from her face.

Slowly the strands of the spell seperated and he pulled the mask away from her face in a careful manner. Once it was off, he tossed it to the ground and slammed his fist into it, shattering the mask.

Zahar wavered a bit trying to stay awake but she couldn't. She feel to the side and layed there quite still.

She was alright. With that thought, Sei pushed him self off to the other side and layed on his back as the exhostion over took him. He would wake and leave this place before thoughts from others invaded.

While Sei and Zahar rested, Mavrick looked on. The ROUS had come back just in time to see Zahar's mask get pulled off. Mavrick scittered up to Zahar and nuzzled and licked her face. She moaned slightly but wouldn't wake. He paced back and forth before running back to the forge to get SK. While The friendly ROUS was gone Sei awoke and left the place slowly, still exhausted from the amount of power it took from him.

Mavrick made it back to the forge and chittered rapidly to SK. Scurring around him to get his attention.

sk was cleaning furriously. he had jsut finished the stove so they could cook on it were the to make some pots. hemoved to the forge and was promptly bowled over by mavrick who was chittering in a high pitched worried tone, " what in the abyss you little b*****d," he cursed as Mavrick lept off him,"i heard ya commin but never thought you'd do that" he stopped adn looked at the giant rodent. its mannerisms were different. he stood and grabbed his sword, "lead me to where she is." with that they sprinted off.

after only minute or two of full out sprinting they arived to see a beautiful yellow girl laying on the ground..."oh my.." he whispered, "thats...thats zahar? that is zahar!" he looked to Mavrick and the rodent seemed to understand as well. he went and knelt by her and made sure all her vital signs were good. she was fine. her beautiful mask was gone now! mind you her face was much much prettier then even her mask. he looked to the right to see the shattered remains of the mask and he painstakingly gathered all the pieces and put them in his belt pouches. he knelt beside zahar and lifted her gently and began walking back to his new home.

he placed her in the shade on the soft grass there balling her cloak to give her a pillow. she looked so peaceful, happy even in her slumber. she was remarkably beautiful. ha! but what can you expect of a princess he jested to himself, "Mav," he wispered, " stay by her side. i have to gether what i need to make a conctete or paste," he rand to the river and began gathering mud and sand soon he had a ball of yellowish paste that was increadably sticky. he ran with it to the forrest and found plants that should have the correct accidity and crushed thier juces into the paste and mixed them it. he was damned if he knew haow but this made the paste VERY strong. he ran back to camp with it and and sat by zahar and went to work. he put her mask back together over the fallowing hour and a bit. it was perfect save for a few trips. the paste was applyed so well that one could hardly see the cracks. he placed it on a shelf at the top of the forge where it would be in sight. it was a beautiful thing to him for some reason. he ran back to the river and washed his hands and came back to the camp. this transformation was quite asstonishing. he smiled when he looked at her and went back to finish the cleaning. he finished the forge and got it fireed up just as dusk settled. he lifted zahar and placed her in the from of the house. just outside of it on the grass there. a warmth flooded out from the forge as well as an orange glow so that it was not totally dark there. with that done he began on afire pit. this took only a few minutes to prepare. another few minutes and he had a crackling and poping fire going. after a particularly loud pop she stirred, "evening sunshine," he said in small voice.

Zahar groaned and blinked her head hurt so much. Absently she thought out loud, and spoke for the first time, "I do not feel like sunshine." She didn't respond to her own voice being outside of her head. Too busy was she sorting through the memories inside. It was so much to grasp. Zahar started to cry again seeing the people she once knew, seeing her mother, seeing how her sister and her had gotten along, seeing the people of the villages that would probably be gone forever. She covered her face as she started tocry harder, feeling her skin she nearly stopped, holding her breath best she could. SK my mask. It is no longer on is it?

he smiled, "yes lass. its.. its off. and you dont have to sign anymore. you already spoke aloud to me... you have a very nice voice. and you are more beautiful then before even which i thought was near to impossable," he paused... mavrick came to me. i found you out there unconscious about six hours ago. your mask.. it was smashed a ways from you like it was torn off or something... there was another set of prints there as well of someone of a heavier build then you. just was relieved that you are ok.. and well.. i dont know if you wanted your mask off.. or if said being that removed it if there was such a being that is.. well i hope it was helpful that he removed it for you... you are ok right?" he absently poked at the fire with a stick ashamed that he'd let this happen to her. on the other hand he was not her protector. she was a grown woman and thought she might not be able to take care of herself perfectly she should be fine. he smiled at her, "i wish i had a mirror... wait a sec, " he drew his katar and looked into his blade noting its litterally perfect mirror finsh and walked beside her holding it up to her face angling it so the light would allow her to see, " you... you are gorgeous."

Zahar sniffled and opened her eyes looking into the blade. "It... It is hard to believe." She watched her mouth move as she talked and then looked to SK blushing slightly. "T-thank you for the compliments. I hope I did not worry you too much." Clearing her throat once she started to talk again. Her voice was soft and a little scratchy from dis-use. "I remember so many things now SK... My head feels full. My uncle Seishoku took the mask off for me. I asked him too." There was a slight pause, "You said it was smashed?"

he nodded and looked down, "can i.. can i keep it..i picked up the pieces.. there are a few chips but i put it together and its nearly flawless.." he motioned her to look into the cabin, "the coments are true. but go take a look lass. then mayhaps we can wander intot he eoods and get those berries."

She stood slowly feeling light headed, her hands reaching up to hold her head. Zahar looked at SK with a small smile, a real one lips and all. "M-may I ask your assistance walking? The proceedure took a lot out of me. I feel so very weak at this time. I would hardly want to reinjure my hip and have you carry me again." Her tone was a light joke and she smiled a little wider. Zahar still coudn't believe that her mask was really off, and she could talk. Actually talk to SK, and show emotion in what she is saying. She held out her hand as she said, "Let us go look at our posession. Since I believe that we could share the mask as our mutual posession. As a reminder of so manythings."

he smiled and helped her to where it was. the light seemed to reflect off it an eary amount making it seem as though it was giving off light itself, "yes, ours as it were. yours in actuallity. i will jsut keep it here. its jsut that i thought you might have been the one who broke it was all." he paused a while, "you have a beautiful voice and i am honored to be the first in LONG time to hear it."

She blushed a little deeper and raised her hand to sign, but stopped herself. "Thank you. You always flatter me so." Zahar looked away from her mask at SK. "I did not break it... I do not know how it happned. Either it breaks when it is removed or it was broken by my uncle for one reason or another. I would like to keep it somewhere where I may see it, and that seems like a good spot." She smiled sadly. "As a reminder to me to be careful." Yes she had all her memories back, and with that she remembered how close her and her sister were. That is why it hurt so much when she walked in on the two. They were so close that Zahar thought she knew everything about her sister, she hadn't been expecting it at all.

he smiled and took it and handed it to her, "you keep it with you. and," he took her hand and slid off the ring, "no need for this thing anymore," he smirked and dropped it into one of his pouches, "iif you want it back for one reason or another ill give it to you but for now, just the two of us dont need it. sides, id rather hear you talk."

Zahar shook her head and put it back where SK had taken it down from. "I think it should stay here. I cannot carry it around with me always. Probably would break it again if I did." She smiled at him lightly and shrugged a little. "If... if we were to go hunting it might be valuable to have me wear the ring again. Less noise that way until it is needed, correct?"
PostPosted: Sun Mar 26, 2006 6:05 pm

he smiled very widely, "ooo! sounds fun!" he lunged forward hungging her and spinning her around, "i got the forge working. i will start smelting ore tonight and we should have a blade for you by the end of tommorow if i work on through. or in a couple days depending on the quality youd like i can get a blade made with about 100 folds if i work most of the day. that should be good. then onto arrow heads for hunting." he set her down gently.

Zahar gaulped and her eyes went wide as he spun her around. "I did not mean that you had to make me a blade right away. I hardly know how to use one let alone fight with it... I would not want to hurt more people SK." Her head dropped and guilt clouded her eyes again. it would be easy to set her off into sadness for awhile., but she had a lot of good cluttering her mind that it would be easy to forget it for awhile. "SK can we just not talk about hunting for a bit? the blades are ok.. maybe if we got me a practice stick or something that would be better at first?"
PostPosted: Sun Mar 26, 2006 6:36 pm

he shook his head, "the blade is not for hurting people or things. it is an object of art and a piece of the wielder. i will leave the edge dull untill you are ready. and we dont have to hunt soon. we will start training tommorow or the next day. it will be light at the start for you but your arms and shoulders will still ache im sure."

She grimaced slightly. Zahar was not used to sword play of any kind, unlike her sister. It was a few moments before she started to ask, "Do we have a bathing area? Or just the stream that we crossed? Also is there any bed frames or will we be making those as well. I believe that blankets we will have to make, correct?" Zahar looked about the small cabin.
