The soft mist swirled around his feet as Damion wandered the Southern void in silence, his footfalls leading him in slow circles as he waited. For the HoH fighter, this was a long way from home, and the events of the day could possibly damage the friendship he felt between him and the guest who may or may not come at his request. This was a critical juncture for him infact, and there were few people left to him in this world that he trusted enough to see him through. This fight would determine what he did for now. Ryugi might not know that, or he just might. If he was as intuitive as Maximos, he would.
" This place....is too damn quite." He finally said, as much to kill the silence as it was to give him courage in his own choices. He had changed his warddrobe too, one that suited him well. His jeans were tight at the waistline but loose around the rest of his lower body, the perfect kicking pants in other words. His feet were covered in heavy looking boots that rose up to his mid-thigh, straps and buckles securing them tightly to those legs, although said straps were hidden by his pants. His shirt was skin tight and shortsleeved, obviously custom made for his body by the way it literally moved as a second skin. His hands were overed in fingerless gloves whose bottoms went to about mid-forearm, the knuckles glinting in the rather dim light, if such things could be said to glint. His weapons weren't in veiw currently, but it'd be there when he called.
" Come on Ryugi...this place is giving me the creeps." He spoke up again, looking around again for his former Captain.

A figure would walk out of the mist. It appeared grey and difficult to see, hidden my the misty vapors all around the both of them. Damion would be unable to see whom was approaching. The figure was tall, and it was apparently carrying something large in its hand. However, he wouldn't have to wonder for very much longer. The eyes of the figure would shine brightly for a moment and the mist would be blown away by a heated gust of air expanding away from the figure. I've come... Are you ready? Red eyes, a white coat, and Ragnarok signified that this was indeed Ryugi, but if Damion was to look around at his surroundings, he would see something very odd. He appeared to be floating!! He might panic as he saw swirling clouds below him, their misty wafting tendrils spiraling about below him. However, two glowing areas below his feet would suddenly pull him back to reality, whatever reality this was. The glowing seemed to signify that his feet were touching something, and indeed they were... A soft gust of wind would soon blow away the remaining vapors to show a massive battle area, but barely. For the arena they stood in was completely clear like a crystal goblet. Bright white clouds blew about on the outskirts of the arena and off into the distance, and golden, brilliant sunlight shimmered down onto the field below, illuminating the two opponents as they stared each other down... You are the challenger... The first move is yours... Ryugi would snap into his casual stance, Ragnarok placed on his shoulder, right hand gripping the handle of the blade, poised and alert, even if he didn't seem it. Would Damion fare well against his former captain? After all, Ryugi had to hold himself back during the Heaven or Hell Tournament due to power limitations, but here, he was free to use his full abilities. What did Ryugi really have up his sleeve? Time, and Damion's first move would tell...

" Very pretty boss...very pretty indeed." He said, walking a slow circle to Ryugi's left, his own right. Damion was indeed impressed, this was far more flashy than what he had hoped for, but it was indeed an awesome place. " But you should know by now." Damion said, looking away from their surroundings, eyes focusing on Ryugi's, locking on through the mist," I am always ready." And with that he would spring.
His movement, however, was erratic. It looked more like he was skating instead of running, although his feet would clear the ground enough to keep him moving. This was a power run, not a speed one, and the distance between them would close slowly. If Damion was concerned about Ragnarok, he wasn't showing it, his entire being seeming to focus more on getting there. And still, no weapon had been pulled, even though his fists were clenched tightly, arms pumping with the running.

"Spring" was hardly the word to describe such an action, however Damion slowly advanced towards Ryugi, and he would hold his ground, his red eyes locked onto the man as he approached. It was scary, almost. Ryugi didn't move save for his hair being blown by the faint wind that blew across the field of battle. His fingers clenched slightly on the handle of Ragnarok, his chest softly rose and fell, but that was the extent of his actions.
Ryugi had been challenged, and he'd wait for his challenger to make his move...

" You know Ryugi....a theif will just take what's precious to you." Damion said at about 10 feet away, from a starting distance of 20. His right fist cocked back further, his body twisting alittle as he sped up, left hand extending forward alittle. " But an Outlaw takes everything!" He finished, the right fist suddenly clenching his newest weapon, Outlaw. The knife caught what little sun there was for just a brief moment before the general muted air of the place took over and dulled the blade.
While stopping dead was out of the question, Damion had two other directions he could go, up or down. He opted for up, launching off his right leg and into the air, right arm still cocked back, the blade of his knife still jutting out backward in a reversed grip.
He hadn't forgotten what little power Ryugi had shown him, infact from what he could guess there was more where that came from, but he could only hope he was ready for it.

Ryugi would hop back as soon as Damion left the ground. Once he was airborne, he'd follow a predictable motion into the air, before gravity brought him back down. Based on that information, Ryugi's leap would bring him well out of range of Damion's knife, but NOT out of range of Ragnarok's finely sharpened blade.
As Ryugi landed, his right arm would pull the weapon around and into a powerful horizontal slash from right to left, the blade falling slightly in its motion through the air to cover more room, and be in a good position if Damion decided to crouch or roll to avoid the blade...

s**t. And double s**t. Memo to self, jumping? Bad idea. There wasn't alot Damion could do in such a situation, and he really didn't want to break out the power of his knife just yet. But it looked like he was going to have too. As he came down, his right hand, the one with the knife, flashed forward in a straight in punch. No curve at all, just in to meet that giant swinging blade. Quote: This is Yours!: Much like when Outlaw was a shield, Outlaw can reflect 3 energy attacks(or energy modified((such as aura'd)) physical attacks) or 2 physical attacks per fight. The size of the attack is irrelevant, but the bigger it is the more physical effort Damion must put in. they were both going to feel this one in the morning. Damion lacked the greater stability of Ryugi, and the angle his opponent was coming in at would send him flying through the air again, flipping and spinning like some kind of crazy top. Not that Ryugi wouldn't feel anything either, oh no. His own strength, plus Damion's strength against just his? That sword was likely going to be blasted back the way it came with that kind of force, if not ripped from Ryugi's hand. Damion was nowhere near as strong as Ryugi, but that might just do it. Damion himself would land probably 10 feet away, hitting the ground on his feet and continuing with his momentum to roll across the ground, coming to rest in a heap, lucky not to slice himself open on his new weapon.

Eternal Dirge They were both going to feel this one in the morning. That was a very large overstatement running through Damion's mind. Ryugi had to deal with his own force all the time. After all, swinging a sword like Ragnarok around wasn't exactly an easy task. The main thing Ryugi was battling with his weapon was actually Ragnarok's momentum and inertia once the blade was sent into motion. Constantly fighting the sword's momentum would tire Ryugi out much more quickly than flowing with the sword's movements and using its momentum to power his next strikes. By doing this, Ragnarok and Ryugi could effectively work as a team when in combat. Ragnarok was reflected back and away from Damion's weapon in the opposite direction, and with the boosted force of the man's movements as well. But instead of being flung across the course in a highly undignified manner, Ryugi would flow along with the motion of the weapon and pivot on his heels, the blade surging with energy and glowing brightly as he rotated around to face Damion's body once more. But what he did next would be HIGHLY unexpected. He would release Ragnarok from his grip. The mighty glowing weapon would surge towards Damion's crumpled form like a powerful energy bolt, powered by Ryugi's own energy and momentum, with a large amount of thanks to Damion's gift of the extra force. Nice trick... The blade would slam into the ground near Damion, barely missing his downed form, almost like a taunt that said Ryugi could have finished him with the blow, followed shortly by Ryugi charging in towards him, Ragnarok's glowing form stabbed into the clear ground, a light area showing where it sank into the battlefield below. But I've seen it before!

Damion pushed himself up alittle, arching an eyebrow as he shook away the little bit of confusion. That should have worked, but oh well. For now, he would simply get to his feet as quickly as possibly, moving back as fast as he could. In other words, he was going to let Ryugi get his weapon. Had it been any other weapon, he would have tried pulling it out of the ground. As it was, he doubted he could have lifted the damn thing.
And that's why Ryugi was captain and not him. But he didn't move back in for the attack, simply settled into a jubd if dancing stance, bouncing on the tips of his toes while his left hand rose and fell slowly infront of him, right arm held back with the left side of his body presented forward.

Eternal Dirge For now, he would simply get to his feet as quickly as possibly, moving back as fast as he could. But poor Damion wouldn't get a chance to do anything more than flail as the energy that caused Ragnarok to glow would erupt in a mighty blast of energy that would slam directly into the unsuspecting Damion, who wouldn't be more than a foot away from the epicenter. Searing heat would rush across his form, flames would lick at his exposed skin and clothing, and the power of the blast would almost be like a solid kick to the chest, and be enough to launch the weapon out of the ground and into the air. As Damion would be dealing with the pain and power of the erupting attack, Ryugi would speed across the ground and jump into the air, his arm gripping the handle of Ragnarok as the two met before he'd flip around and come down for a powerful attack into the ground, and possibly into Damion's unsuspecting form as well with a massive show of force. The force wouldn't have to be explained. If that kind of attack hit, Damion wasn't likely to be getting up...

Yeah...no. While that was mighty impressive, Ryugi would be running smack into his own attack as Damion thrust his knife hand forward, extending it into the flames. " This is a new trick." He growled as the flames and destruction that would have engulfed him were turned back towards Ryugi and his sword. " These are yours." Damion finished before likely getting thrown back. His punch hadn't been strong, and he was still subject to things like getting thrown back, but his knife had done it's work and had thrown back the epic power that Ragnarok had unleashed.
This time though he was more in control, sliding a great distance on his feet but staying standing at the very least, coming to a stop a full 10 feet away this time. Ryugi might have been immune to the flames, but the sudden loss of air as those flames sucked up the oxygen in the area? Doubtful.

Ryugi couldn't have said it better himself. A new trick? Hardly. It was another reflective strike. Same old, same old. Ryugi had really expected more from Damion than to reuse the same attack strategy again and again. But that wasn't important right now. Damion reflected the mighty attack back towards Ryugi, who was indeed uneffected by it, and infact reabsorbed the energy back into Ragnarok as it neared, Damion having handed him more energy to utilize. If Damion kept this up Ryugi wouldn't have to use any more of his stamina to get more energy. Any air that would have been sucked away would just be replaced by more air that was sucked in. Such was the nature of flames. And thats why firestorms always had a strong wind blowing towards them. Ryugi's breathing would be virtually uneffected. Instead of slamming the weapon down onto the ground to cleave Damion in half, he would land on the ground in a crouch, Ragnarok glowing brightly with energy once again. As he landed the energy within the sword would lash out across the ground into three lances of searing glowing force. The middle one would be aimed towards Damion, the other two would speed to his sides, effectively trapping him within their grasp. His movements would be virtually cut off, except for a couple different options. The lance would be released, and Ryugi's crouched form would then push off and surge forward towards Damion, Ragnarok moving to his shoulder once again with his right arm gripping it tightly.

One of Damions eyebrows arched, it didn't matter which one, at this. Oh well, he did want a fight after all didn't he? All he could hope to do was to outrun the energy waves, bolting off to his right, Ryugi's left. He would emerge just ahead of that wave, the energy wave actually moving right behind his heel. He kept his head turned though, watching Ryugi as the other man came in. He had chosen this direction for a reason, it was opposite the side that Ryugi was wielding that giant blade. It'd be alittle harder for the dragon man to hit him.
This was making things complicated, but he might be able to pull his a** out of the fire yet.

Ryugi was beginning to lose interest. Damion had challenged him to a fight, and yet at each turn he ran off or escaped from whatever Ryugi tossed his way. This wasn't a fight, this was a goose chase. So far, all Damion had done was talk big, act small, and run off or reflect anything that Ryugi tossed at him. It was boringly repetative.
So much so that Ryugi stopped charging, hefted Ragnarok onto his shoulder again, and stood there, looking bored, and watching Damion.
You're boring me Damion... I expected more from you after all that talking big about you taking everything from me.
Ryugi scratched his head and yawned as he watched Damion. Ryugi had done all the attacking despite him being the one challenged. How very disappointing...

Damion shrugged, he hadn't talked big. Infact, all he had done was state a matter of fact, never once had he mentioned Ryugi getting anything stolen. Just the difference between theives and outlaws." Just cause it's not a fight you're used to boss, doesn't mean it ain't a fight." He threw back. He did, however, see Ryugi's point. Guess he'd have to change that huh?
And with that, Damion changed direction, running towards Ryugi fairly fast, but not fast enough that he'd be out of control and unable to stop himself, right arm cocked back again." But I guess I have to be a showman."
