"Hearthome! Away!" she cried to her Fearow, soon casting off the catty persona and instead adopting a more cheery one. It was rather odd. After pretending for so long her multiple persona began to blend into one another. Annie would find herself losing her very being, morphing from one personality into another. Wait, what was she thinking abot this for? Ugh, it must be the hunger pains.

Moments later the woman touched down in Hearthome, another hot spot for eating out. It was on her list of places to crash for a meal. She cleared her throat. Ms. Sinclair ran her hand trough her raven locks, red nail polish glowing in the early morning sunlight. She was clad in a sleeveless, black silk top, with a red band running along the bottom. Nice fitted dark wash jeans finished off her casual look. She had really gotten too use to the color scheme, but why change now? She did have to admit she looked pretty damn good.

"And a beautiful person like me shouldn't be waiting for breakfast. Time to go!" she sang happily before walking off to the grand hotel. Their food was quite magnificent.

Jun sidled up to the bar with a huge grin, taking a seat and simply sitting there for a while, observing his self-proclaimed body-guard at work. What a smell! Beautiful, simply divine. And how graceful he was with his food-handling; now, if only he transferred all that TLC to man-handling, what a lover he'd be. It was a shame that he was pretty much a goddamn asexual.

"Good sir," Jun called out politely. "I /do/ believe I haven't gotten my crepes. I'll tip, though, if you add some extra whipped cream to my... order," he said, deviously leaning over little wall and swiping some of the white stuff with his finger, sitting back down as innocently as you please when the main chef looked over. It would do no good to be kicked out, you know. The young man stuck the little mountain of sweet goodness into his mouth, still smirking.

Ronnie came over then, swaying her hips side to side seductively; some of the less knowledgeable guests in the restaurant wondered at this bodacious (albeit somewhat stout) lady. She was very human-like from the back after all. "Oh, Ronnie, where's that... Alice girl?"

Ronnie made some gurgling grunts and gesticulated in an exaggerated fashion.

"Ah, I see. PokeCenter," Jun said, shrugging. Out of sight, out of mind. Speaking of sight, however, he managed to catch a glimpse at a lovely young woman enter the restaurant; unlike the other guests, she positively shone with ferosh. Looked like a prima donna, but as he was one himself, he couldn't say that with any negative connotation.

Crenu followed Riza, walking behind her and her pokemon as he thought about returning his phone calls. Why now? She hadn't even tried to contact him once, was it because of the incident at the seminar? But that had only just happened, and no one knew he was there. In fact, anyone that knew him would probably think that would be the last place he would be during all of the commotion. Even he had a hard time believing that he'd decided to come here, strong trainers to fight or not. He'd been doing a lot more socializing than he liked in general, and it all happened when he first met up with those two back in Johto, first that little brat Ky and then M.A., it was all their fault that he was starting to meet more and more people. He'd had the right idea when he bailed on them in Azalea Town. He'd made the mistake of coming here to keep on eye on them, one was no where to be found and the other was growing just fine on her own. He'd met some strong trainers sure, but there were plenty of stronger trainers back home that probably wouldn't have gotten on a friendly level with him. Damn it, coming here was a dent in my training and a waste of my time... well, maybe not a total waste. He thought when he looked up at Riza, finding that a bit of a smile was creeping up onto his mouth. He shook it away and changed the subject in his mind, how did he get off to this tangent anyway? It didn't matter, probably wasn't anything pleasant anyway, it never was. "...." He felt like he needed to say something, but he really couldn't think of anything to say. Silence was what he knew, but for some reason it felt like it wasn't enough. Damn it, things were going to get complicated if he didn't get his head back to where it needed to be. But maybe where it needs to be is right here? No, that wasn't right was it? Crenu forced the thoughts out of his head and focused on following Riza to her fishing spot, no better time to live than in the present after all. By this time his cigarette had burnt up and was getting dangerously close to burning him, so Crenu put it out and lit up another one, taking in a deep breath of the nicotine delivery system and exhaling after holding it in his mouth for a few seconds.

Annie walked into the breakfast joint, using the term joint loosely for a classy breakfast restaurant. She didn't even bother with the waiter this time. He most likely would have been incompetent like the other one back at the Resort Hotels. "Pancakes with strawberries and extra whip cream," she said, snapping he fingers in the process. Girl's gotta have her strawberries you know.

She flipped her hair over her shoulder, crossing one leg over the other. "I need my damn breakfast," she growled glaring at the girl who shifted uncomfortably, trying to move faster to make the girl's breakfast.

Riza was completely oblivious to the ramblings going on in Crenu's head as she walked, wondering what Pokemon she'd be able to fish up today. They arrived without incident, with that same, large rock from yesterday sitting in the same spot as before. Sneasel ran ahead of the small group, obviously looking for something. Ralts was still a little apprehensive of Crenu and the small Pokemon kept peeking up over Riza's shoulder to look at him, though after a while it seemed she was making a game of it now and had just plain forgotten about the bad feelings she'd sensed from him earlier. "Well, this is it," Riza said, holding out her free arm like Vanna White showcasing the latest Wheel of Fortune puzzle before putting her hand on her hip. She reached into her bag and withdrew her phone, toying with it for a moment before she turned sharply and snapped a photo of her blonde-haired companion. "You're my background now," she announced with a grin, slipping the black and white phone into the pocket of her skirt.

Sneasel had jumped up onto the big rock to get a better look at the area, but was now sitting down and looking a little disappointed. Riza figured she might have been looking for that Marill from yesterday, but Riza didn't expect the little aqua mouse to still be around. Riza set her knapsack up on one of the smaller rocks and took out her Good Rod. "I hope things are biting today," she said as she climbed up onto the big rock next to Sneasel, while Ralts chose simply to teleport.

Crenu looked aroudn at the spot where they had come to stop at, it was rather peaceful and empty. He smiled slightly, clearly impressed with the location, and looked back at Riza just in time to see her pointing her phone at him. "Huh? Oh, ok...?" He looked at her curiously as she put the phone back in her pocket, not exactly sure what had just happened. Why'd she want a picture of him as her background? Picture taking wasn't something he was very big on, he himself didn't have a single picture on his phone or even in his wallet. Whatever, not like it bothered him or anything. He decided to take a seat next to the big rock Riza had perched hersellf on and took out his Super Rod, feeling a little better and maybe even feeling some joy when he cast his line into the water. "I'm sure they'll bite, just a matter of time." He layed back against the big rock and crossed his arms, the rod wedged between his arms and chest as best as it could be. He was a bit lazy when it came to fishing, but that was probably why he liked it so much. A steady stream of smoke rose from the slowly burning cigarette, little plmes of smoke escaping his mouth when he opened began to speak. "So...fish much?" That was a stupid question, making conversation was harder than it looked and he really was trying. Damn, that must have sounded awkward as hell, maybe he should have just remained quiet after all. At least he didn't say something like 'Nice weather' though, that really would have been bad.

Shiva yelped painfully as the Mightyena's fangs sank into her soft hide, and she desperately batted at the canine's face with her flippers in order to get it off of her. "Give 'em a Body Slam," Keegan shouted suddenly, remembering that Dante had called upon that attack before. Shiva flashed him a toothy grin and nodded, glaring at the dark Pokemon in front of her. With an angry bark she lowered her head and threw herself forward, using her powerful tail to add to her momentum. Nice, Keegan thought, smiling in approval. Shiva was quite the though little thing and he was very glad to be her new trainer. Thanks Dante, wherever you are.

"Hey, that's cheating!" the Snorlax owner shouted, not happy that his Pokemon's attack had missed. "Uh... use your Lick attack! Yeah, that oughta leave 'em tongue-tied!" the man laughed at his own stupid joke prompting Keegan to raise an unamused eyebrow from the other side of the battlefield.

The Snorlax grunted and got back up to its feet, looking down at the much-smaller Combusken, a dopey-sort of grin plastered onto its face. It's mouth opened wide, and it uttered a very guttural "Laaaaaaacks!" before its gigantic pink tongue snaked out towards Combusken. All in all, it was a very disgusting 'attack'.

"No, not really," Riza answered with a slight shrug, watching the red and white floater bobble in the water, pin-pointing where her line had dropped under the surface of the water. "My brother gave me this fishing rod yesterday morning," she admitted, apparently not noticing Crenu's embarrassment. "I've only caught two Pokemon with it so far, but they weren't Pokemon I would have wanted to capture." She thought about the cute little Marill and the strange fish-thing from yesterday and shook her head. Today, she had a feeling she'd catch something super-cool. "What about you?" she asked, adjusting her position so she could lean back comfortably. "Fish often? Or is it just a sometimes-deal?" She wasn't very good at making conversation either, but either she didn't notice or didn't care, perhaps both. Sneasel had stretched right out beside Riza and was enjoying the sunshine, which was probably a little strange for a dark and ice-type like herself. Riza didn't question it though. Whatever made her Pokemon happy. Ralts, on the other hand, seemed to be content just gazing out across the water, and occasionally up at the sky as the cries from strange white and blue bird Pokemon rang out overhead. "It sure is nice here," Riza mumbled, closing her eyes. Perhaps they should have brought a lunch after all.

"Don't fish much anymore, not like when I was a kid. I wasn't very good, so my dad got me this rod to catch something better than...Hmm?" Crenu felt a strong tug on his line that enarly yanked it from his grip. Taking the rod in hand he got a solid grasp and pulled back, reeling in the water pokemon that was fighting to stay submerged. Crenu stood up and gave the line one good tug, pulling the fish out with a big splash. He looked down at his feet with a look of extream dissapointment, a big red Magikarp flopping around wildly and gasping in a pathetic manner. ".....a Magikarp..." He sat down to look at the Fish Pokemon who was starting to settle down. He pulled the lure out from its mouth and blew smoke into its face, causing it to flop aroudn again. He almost didn't want to throw it back, but he gave it a little nudge and the Magikarp was able to flail its way back into the water. Crenu reluctantly cast his line back in and silently sat back down against the rock, closing his eyes and furrowing his brows in clear annoyance. "Shoulda seen that coming."
PostPosted: Thu Feb 26, 2009 10:07 am

When the Magikarp flopped up out of the water Riza couldn't help but giggle. For all the time she'd spent fishing yesterday she didn't hook a single one, and as she watched it flail around pathetically she was glad she didn't, though she did feel a little sorry for the fish as it found its way back into the water. "To think those pathetic little fish evolve into Gyarados," she mused aloud, shaking her head. She'd never seen a Gyarados in person but she knew they were powerful, and, well very big. The ones she'd seen in books looked like they were gonna jump right up off the pages and attack her. "Well, it is a waiting game, like you said," she giggled, looking at her own line dangling in the water. It hadn't so much as twitched since she'd cast it and she let out a small sigh, deciding that she wasn't going to let Crenu show her up at something so trivial as fishing. 'I can be patient,' she thought, sitting up straight and staring hard into the bluish green water. 'Good things come to those who wait.' Sneasel sat up a bit and smirked at her, and as though she was reading her trainer's thoughts she shook her head in disagreement. She knew better than anyone that Riza wasn't a very patient person at all. Ralts hadn't even moved a bit when the magikarp had been caught, though she looked over at Riza and nodded, if anything just to disagree with Sneasel.

"Almost doesn't seem possible. Heh, a Gyarados would be nice, but raising a Magikarp's just to big a pain in the a**." Crenu looked off into the still waters, everything was very calm without a pokemon in sight. However, there was a gentle rustling in the bushes near by that was similar to the one he'd heard back at the pokecenter. Whatever it was, it looked like it followed them. Somehow, I know this is his fault... Crenu thought as he released Poliwhirl, the thing from the bushes didn't start following them until he'd recalled the blue nuisance, he was sure that the squishy guy was at least a little responsible. Poliwhirl was still sleeping on his sidewhen he materialized untill Crenu walked over to him and nudged him with his foot. "Oi, I think something's following me cause of you. What'd you piss off this morning?" Poliwhirl appeared to laugh a bit as he remembered the cone shaped pokemon from earlier and how he'd almost gotten it before it ran away. He lied and shrugged as if he knew nothing, then rolled back over to go back to sleep. "Hmm, whatever. Maybe having a water type around'll make the fish bite more, just don't cause any trouble. Poliwhirl just waved an ok and continued sleeping, while Crenu kept an ear on the bushes and went back to fishing. He'd have had Poliwhirl go into the water to scope things out, but that'd be cheating and the little imp would probably just scare away the fish anyhow. "You ok up on that rock? Doesn't look very comfortable." He was hoping that if they appeared distracted, the pokemon might be more inclined to bite.

Calculus unleashed yet another psibeam into the offending beedrill, and meanwhile Booky slammed down his beak into another once again. And enough was enough for poison bee pokemon, their anger isn't worth the injury! And those beedrill that could still fled back into the woods.

The retreating buzzing was a releif to Venerax. "Way to go guys!" He called up as he searched for a way to climb back up so he could share the spoils with them. A city boy most of his life, being lost in the wilds for couple of weeks had made him fairly savvy in its ways. Though this was the first time he had dared to take honey from the beedrill.

Finding some hand holds he began to hoist himself back up the ledge. It wasn't that high, so though it was a bit of a tough climb it was that dangerous.

Riza was too busy staring into the water to notice that anything was amiss, and she shifted slightly, suddenly wishing she hadn't brought up the thought of a Gyarados. What if she hooked one? Worse yet, what if she hooked one and Sneasel and Ralts couldn't handle it? If Crenu had to bail her out after being attacked by a wild Gyarados, she knew he'd never let her live it down somehow. 'Okay then...no Gyarados...no Gyarados...no Gyarados...' she thought over and over again as she saw Crenu release his Poliwhirl from nearby. Practically everyone she'd met yesterday had tough Pokemon with them and even though she knew it shouldn't bother her, it did. If only she'd been allowed to leave home sooner...nah. She was happy where she was. She wasn't really interested in power anyway, as it wasn't like it really proved anything anyway. "It's fine, it's not the comfiest of things but I'll survive," she said, once again shifting to try and get comfortable. It was then she noticed the slight rustling in the bushes and she looked over her shoulder curiously. Naturally, this was when some unwitting Pokemon decided to catch itself, and the sudden tug on the line was almost enough to throw Riza's balance off and send her tumbling into the water. "Hey, I've got something!" she cried, standing up in order to get more leverage.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 26, 2009 1:30 pm

Crenu had just settled back into his sleep like state when he heard Riza's cry, looking over to see that she was now standing on the rock and was indeed fighting somethign that was fighting back. He watcher curiously to see what would surface, hopefully it wasn't just another Magikarp. "Don't pull to hard or you'll snap the line." Heh, like Captain Magikarp was one to give out fishing advice, he continued to watch untill the rustling from the bushes started to get more violent. "Try not to get pulled in." He said jokingly as he turned his attention to the bush, walking closer to it and Poliwhirl. "Hey, it's that thing again. Flush it out with Bubble Beam." He said to Poliwhirl, wo was still sleeping. He nudged the Tadpole Pokemon slightly, then practically kicked him who seemed to get the job done. Poliwhirl jumped up and shot a stream of bubbles into the rustling bush, a small orange cone shaped pokemon jumping out looking both scared and angry. It was shaking terribly, but that didn't stop it from unleashign a snowy breath out at Crenu and Poliwhirl. "Eh? A fight is it, alright then Double Slap that thing Poliwhirl!" Poliwhirl jumped in excitement and made a das hfor the little pokemon, but when he reared his hand back for tha Double Slap it began to glow as he made his palm traight and rigid. Instead he came down with a sword hand style chop that slammed into the pokemon, sending it bouncing off the groudn and into a nearby tree. It appeared planted in the tree for a moment before it fell to the ground, out cold after that mighty strike. "The hell was that? Did you just use Brick Break?" Poliwhirl bounced aroudn happily, he'd taken that little punk out like nothing with that move he'd seen Laarvitar and Hitmonlee use on a number of occasions. "Huh, impressive. But hey, what was that thing that sprung out huh? That was almost as pathetic as the Magikarp, it shouldn't pick fights it can't win, I think it might be dead." Crenu had no need for pathetic pokemon like that, yet that snowy attack intrigued him a little. If he could find out what it was, then maybe he'd be able to find out where to locate a stronger one. Unclipping one of his remaining empty pokeballs from his belt, Crenu tossed it at the little cone thing and waited, turning his attention back to Riza and her catch which was more interesting to him than whatever he'd just slaughtered.

Annie's glare morphed into a kind smile as the frightented girl placed her food down in front of her. Some guests clearly upset with the fast service she had gotten while they were still waiting on thiers. "Thank you so much dear," she said with a smile tracing her red nails along the young girl's lower jaw. "You had better get back to work now." The poor cook nodded all too quickly before dashing off. Hopefully she wouldn't need a drink or more strawberries, and if the scary woman did she was going to make sure she was out of sight.

Annie dug into her meal, placing a bit of pancake onto her fork. With her knife she scraped on some whipped cream and strawberries, getting a bit of everything in one bite. That was how the meal should have been eaten. "Mmm," Annie murmured looking up. Her eyes connected wih a pair of green one. She took a moment to survey her find. Decent enough, she decided, for a short game. She winked at the spikey haired man playfully, laughing on the inside before taking anoher bite of the magnigicent breakfast trio. Damn, those pankcakes were good.
