Vincent fell silent once more, listening as the females conversed. It was nice, hearing people engaged in conversation that didn't revolve around his work. As he listened, he put on the mac and cheese, stomach giving a bit of a rumble.

The long unheard sound of a ball of mud thudding against the front door of the Muffin was the first thing to herald the return of Sten. The second herald was the expectable, "Anybody home!?"

Trying not to groan, Vincent left the water to boil on the stove, and headed to the door. Opening it, he flashed a wolfy smile to the man. "Hello, Earthworm."

Kaen lifted an eyebrow and shook her head, realizing that Ukaia probably didn't want to mention it. She looked at the mixer and saw that the smoothie was ready and went to retrive a glass.

She poured the smoothie into the glass and carried it up to her room, closing the door behind her, leaving Vincent and Ukaia with some privacy.

"The world... what?" Vincent asked, blinking, rather startled at the pronouncement. "I... here." He walked to the door, then outside, beckoning Sten after him, frowning deeply. He settled himself on the ground near the building, then looked expectantly to the other man. "Explain."
