Elke's mouth formed a nervous smile, her own cheeks turning a light pink. A giggle escaped her lips, and her eyes dropped to the ground also. "I was always scared to death of kissing." She muttered, knowing she still was.

Elke scratched at her face, her smile still there. She didn't know what to say. She felt a weight of responsibility resting on her shoulders. She wasn't good enough for him. She wouldn't be able to be. He wants more than I can give him, she thought. "I'm. I'm glad you're back."

Stop this mushy stuff. Make a joke and such. "You better be, mister. Josiah here was getting in all kinds of trouble, eh?" She moves over to Josiah, poking him with her elbow to try to make things a bit more comfortable. She licked her lips, smiling happily.

"Most definitely." Elke jeered, letting a small laugh go. She draped her arm over Josiah's shoulder, leaning against him by his side. "Hey, kid. I wanna apologize, man. I went loco on ya. I was bad." Her voice lowered, ashamed she'd let the girl insult him.

Elke frowned, still thinking about how she'd acted before. She couldn't let it go. She smiled weakly, watching them act like a normal father and son. It felt strange how everything seemed perfect now. She expected the world to implode to balance everything out.

"Meh. Can't forgive myself for my mistakes." Elke muttered, stepping away from Josiah. Her eyes caught sight of her hands, still tinted red with Alucard's blood. "Oh. Damnit. I don't think I'll ever get this stuff off."

"I don't come across soap on my daily runs about the city. It doesn't lie around the park or docks either." She muttered, transfixed by the color. She pretended not to hear his first question, not knowing how to explain. "Blargh." Elke wiped her hands on some patches of grass wet with dew, but it didn't help very much. "Ew. Ew. Ew. I've been caught red-handed, hah. Don't like having a friend's blood on me hands, though. Not the best. Not the best."

Danny smirks...he grabs her hand and drags her over to a nearby drinking fountain...he turns it on and starts wiping her hand with his shirt to get the dried blood off....
