You fail to understand my point.
And even Sephiroth used melee to overwhelm Cloud toward the end of their match.

Then convince me. Actions speak louder than words. But in the case of roleplaying, I guess that's moot. lol
Anyway, make it more believable to me. You're skating a borderline that is making you lose balance. The better choice would be to either concentrate on using the nodachi at its potential, or getting rid of it and just use melee cause they are easier for you to do without looking bad. If you're going to show me how to mix a nodachi weapon with hand to hand, then hopefully you do it right this round.
I'm just giving you this advice due to logical reasons.

If only Seena were here.
Man, I remember when she absolutely thrashed Snow in a sword fight.
It'd have been a joy to watch her fight Tenkai.

Wow, she really was pressuring Snow. I would definitely like to see her and Tenkai fight. Their styles are almost too similar in terms of Japanese influence. And that "wrap" technique she did was amazing, combing western style with her eastern style. Astounding.

Are you going to use a Tiger Uppercut that hits four times or a Jaguar Kick that makes you do an aerial frontflip?

Well, that's impossible now.
She quit Gaia a long time ago and went to live in Japan.
I doubt we'll ever hear from her again.

Vash Sengou Throw in Pips random match and I think we have a pretty promising line-up. [/Hug] Pretty much made my day here.

[Hits his forehead.]
I got it.
I know the best way to approach this fight ever. Even better than making Korag's body or Abigail's a**s explode.

Vintrict What I meant by advantage is that you had the distance to utilize your sword from keeping your opponent, Link, who has a smaller sword from coming in. In other words, it would have been more effective to just use the nodachi like it was originally made of instead of improvising and combining a very "long" sword with the fighting style of instant melee range. It was tacky and it doesn't really do anything other than try to make you look cool fighting with a long sword. Even the infamous Sephiroth from the FF series didn't fight so close to an opponent to try to slash them. He would keep a medium distance to make use of his sword more effectively. This was displayed mostly in the Advent Children movie. And in the Kingdom Hearts games (sorry for giving this reference), he slashes before dashing back, cause he understands the threat range of a sword that long. When you're using a sword that's five feet long, either you use it's range to your advantage or you're doing it wrong.Or... He could be using the sword creatively by using the sword's size instead of its range. Utilizing it as a giant buffer to lock his opponent's weapons and block his strikes instead of to deal damage. He never truly uses the sword offensively except to create openings and throw his opponent off balance with his weapon's superior weight. All so that he can get into a good position to deal real damage with what he's good at, his fists. I think what Fierach is trying to say is that James isn't a traditional swordsman but rather a brawler first and sword fighter second. The nodachi is simply a tool, meant to serve whatever purpose he needs at the moment and not just what convention says. And that, if anything, should get some points in creativity on his part. It shouldn't be condemned as "doing it wrong".

No matter. I intend to make him use the Nodachi's length this round, because Vince's sword is just as long as his own.
