"Yes, please..." Bakura mumbled, poking where he had been hit with the rock and wincing.
The owner hesitated. He knew he probably shouldn't, but he wanted to know. "Hey, um... you. Guy. Bakura, right? I had a question I want to ask you."
Bakura growled slightly, looking over at the man. "Think that over carefully. If it's stupid, don't waste my time with it."
"Um... okay. Maybe I shouldn't..." The man rubbed the back of his head, quickly looking away. He glanced nervously towards the door, wondering if he could still make it out unnoticed.

Rei gently lowered bakura down so he was resting in her lap. She looked to the man "You can leave now. Shut the door behind you" she told him.

"Ah.. right... but first, I wanted to tell you that some of Ahsha's friends-- he's the guy you killed-- went to get soldiers to arrest you two." The owner got up, preparing to bolt. "So, uh, bye." He bolted at that, shutting the door behind him, like Rei had suggested. Bakura had passed out again, looking paler than normal.

"Crap." Rei said and since he was on her she was able to put his arm over shoulder and pull him to his feet. She stumbled a bit holding both children and bakura. She finaly got outside. Grabing the black horse she had rode oin last night she got bakura onto it,then herself and the children before riding off.

In the palace, the pharaoh was agitated. A boy had been found dead in the stables, and two horses stolen. Now they had just gotten a report from the guards that someone claimed to have seen Bakura in the nearest town. Was it worth the effort to try and arrest that maniac again? Of course. And if he was close enough, they might even manage to capture him without a search, like last time. He finally looked up at the servant who had brought him the news, and sighed heavily. "This has to be taken care of once and for all. Go ready my horse. Make sure at least one other priest is coming with me."
"Great pharaoh... you're going out? That isn't wise..." The servant bit his bottom lip. Not wanting to face the pharaoh's wrath, he bowed deeply. "But of course I'll go. Is there anything else you'll need?"
Atem hesitated. "Just... make sure Amenitré is watched over while I'm gone. She should still be asleep, though... Don't make her aware of the situation."
The soldier sighed. Amenitré... the pharaoh's daughter. She was a b*****d child, and too young to begin to get involved with the going-on at court like this. The pharaoh was far too protective of her. Still, he mumbled that he would do that, and quickly went off to start giving orders.

Rei continued to ride out of town away from the palace. She blanced bakura and her children on the horse trying to keep them on.

It didn't take Atem very long to get ready and go outside. A group of soldiers were there, yawning and stretching. Seto was also there, but he looked irritated. Atem didn't pause to wait and listen to the high priest's whining, though. They set off quickly, first going to the inn that the two men had seen Bakura in. The owner wasn't very useful; he said that they had set off at once, and were probably very far away by now. Seto commented later that he thought the man looked suspicious and had been lying. "Am I moving?" Bakura woke up not too much later, nearly toppling off the horse. Seeing, indeed, that he was moving and wasn't just dreaming, he twisted around to see who was also on it. "s**t, Rei... where are we going? What's happening?"

Rei held onto bakura "Were just going away. Apparently the friends of the guy I killed went to get the pharoh. So we are leaving." she said.

"Oh... uh-huh." Bakura closed his eyes, thinking about how pretty the lights beneath his eyelids were. "Yeah. Pharaoh wouldn't know to look there. And his men certainly wouldn't either. At least, I don't think so." He chuckled, clenching and unclenching his hands, just to make sure they still worked. "Akila would kill me if she knew what was going on. She would be alive in this world, right?"

"Once this passes... we need to go see her. She wouldn't know you, but I could explain." Bakura muttered, becoming more stable, if only a little. "Well, parts I could explain. I don't know what I could tell her about the kids..."

"Oh thats easy. We had sex and nine months later they poped out." She said playfully. She gently kissed the unwounded part of his head.
