Chuckling, Jak finished his drink and placed the glass on the bar.
"A small test was required to see where his intentions lay. I was most impressed that he jumped to Akki's defence so readily. He showed a great deal of caring toward my little one."

Jordyn pulled his line of sight away from Aura before continuing. "I think he hurt her so much, he couldn't bear to think of doing it again. The boy's really in love... That," he chuckled, "I think Jerry put the fear of God in him."

Grinning, Jak moved behind the bar, pouring himself a glass of juice.
"A little fear never hurts now, does it? Little Akki has fallen hard, its good to see he feels the same."

"Yeah, but fear from a two hundred pound snake has got to be terrifying." Throwing back a laugh he moved behind the bar as well to get himself some scotch.
Aura finished her song and took a sip of her martini, scanning the room for others to talk to.

"As long as the message was received, all is well.
And your lovely lady? The two of you seemed close at dinner, but here she seems to have other interests."

Jordyn shook his head dispairingly. "She and I were quite literally made for each other, but she seems to be changing with her suroundings faster than I... I can still tell what she's thinking and doing, and vice versa, but I don't always understand it anymore."

Jak grinned as he stood up. "I have to stop back at the bookstore for my gear, then I'm off for a day or two."
He smiled and waved to Aura, then finished his drink, going behind the bar to wash his glass out.
