*Luel pulled back a bit to stare at her face. The moment would have lasted perhaps a bit longer if he had not heard the barista call out his name. He smiled, amused and went to fetch his triple expresso spice. He returned and gestured at a nearby seat so they could rest in between words. The suffering of the past few months melted away at her touch and he marveled briefly how blessed he was to have true happiness. . . . . No. . . . this was no dream and she was real.* M-may I purchase a beverage for you?
*He said, breaking the fragile silence between them. She always reminded him of crystals and their ethereal otherworldly mystery. Soft muted colors contained in their glasslike appearance, in truth only looked delicate. He wished to contain it, not share with the world but that was never his right to deprive the world of her. One look from her and everything became beautiful.*
Have you painted?
*He worried that came across too general and perhaps a bit callous after the moment they had just shared however after the length of time away his words had become so unsure. He was not sure how to talk to her the way he wanted to but in time things would return to normal he supposed.*

Sunray Tristram Aiden nodded, mentally kicking himself for not explaining the term when actually saying it. "My transfiguration professor's an animagus and I just find it really awesome. But I'd need special training for it, she says, and I'd have to register with the department of magic so they know I could do it." He picked up his cup again and sipped, smiling at the small bird. Kimiko smiled as she looked between the bird and the boy, trying hard to understand what it would be like to have to study magic and how to use it. It came to her naturally, and she was quickly realizing she probably took that for granted. What sort of animal are you hoping to turn yourself into? she asked, gently brushing her fingertip over the small creation's back.

When breaking the kiss, Marie looked up at him, almost feeling the need to hold her breath as if it would keep him from leaving. It had been so long since she'd last seen him and though she had never complained, it had saddened her greatly to be apart from him. But now he was there before her, more solid and real than in her dreams. She was whole again.
"A beverage?" She looked around, blushing slightly. "Oh, yes. If you would like to then I'd love a simple hot chocolate." She lifted one hand to her cheek, brushing away a stray hair while partly covering her blush. It always felt awkward to have attention be brought to herself. She then moved to sit down with him, careful not to get her long dress caught under the chair legs.
At the mention of painting, Marie looked down at her fingers. Not only did the soreness return but she also happened to notice the faint blue, green, and red tints that spotted her fingers and hands. "Yes, actually I have...probably more than I should have." She didn't have to ask what he had been up to, already knowing that he had probably gotten very involved with his work. "How is your work coming along? It seems to have kept you...very busy."

Aiden replaced his wand and watched the two, the small bird taking a liking to Kimiko. "I'm not really sure yet. The professor can change into a cat but I've heard others able to change into dogs or rats and the like." He tilted his head a little, curious as to what animal he would find most useful. "What about you? If you could change into one animal, what would it be?"

*Luel waved a passing waitress over and requested a hot chocolate. She always looked so cute when she blushed. He smiled and looked down a bit shyly as he replied.*
I have finished the trials set forth for me to endure and they think my skill worth passing.
*He did not bother to admit it was not by much that he passed but he did his best to not let that bother him. This was Marie's time. He would have ample time later to brood about his work. He captured her hand in his and contemplated the sparkling engagement ring for a few seconds before holding it to his lips in a chaste kiss.*
I believe we have a lot of work ahead of us.
*He groaned in mock agony in an attempt to lighten the heavy mood. Taking a big sip of his expresso his face became joyful, really enjoying all of this.*

Marie smiled at him, her cheeks remaining a light pink. She always loved the way he looked at her, making her feel like the only person around him. It was something she was still getting used to. When he lifted her hand to his lips, she also looked at the ring. She only ever took it off when bathing and was careful never to get paint on it.
"Yes, I suppose we do." She lightly bit at her lower lip, wondering what he would think if she told him just how much she had been thinking about their future wedding...and how much planning she had done. It probably wasn't something to go over at a coffee house anyway. "Maybe we could go back to your place to talk things over? When you have time, of course." She didn't know if he was still in the middle of working or not and she didn't want to look so desperate to be with him even though she really was.

Offering Aiden a sheepish smile, Kimiko shrugged a shoulder. Well, like my mother, I can turn into a panther. she admitted, blushing deeply as she'd always found that a little strange. I don't do it very often, but it does come in handy when I want to outrun my brother. Blush surfaced to her cheeks and she plucked up the small bird carefully, cupping it in her hands so that she didn't have to look to the redhead.

Aiden stared at her for a moment before smiling. "Really? You can turn into a panther?" He obviously found the feat impressive yet he resisted the urge to ask her to change so he could see. "I never thought about turning into a wild cat or anything. That's be awesome! Then my sister wouldn't be able to catch me when she gets mad at me."

Kimiko giggled, blushing as she nodded to Aiden. I'm not a very big panther, but I'm agile enough to outrun the wolf form my brother takes on. Does your sister turn into an animal? She asked, not quite realizing that if Aiden had to learn to do it, his sister would probably have to endure the same processes.

Aiden couldn't help but laugh a little, not at Kimiko but at the thought of his sister being an animagus. "Nah, Cat's not an animagus. Neither of us are old enough, for one, and we'd both need special training." He then finished off his drink, setting the cup down lightly. "Plus, Cat would want to be a dragon and I highly doubt the Department of Magic would allow that. So, instead, she'd holding herself out to work with dragons."

You have dragons where you come from? Kimiko mused, always hearing stories but being forbidden to seek any out back home. What's the Department of Magic? She asked after a moment, tilting her head as she continued to hold the small bird in her hands.

Riyo the Neko Youkai Artemis smiled and wrapped his tail around her waist. "I certainly hope so. A sad Kohaku isn't as fun to tease as a happy one." He said and laughed a little. Even if they were older, he still teased her every once in awhile for the sake of old times. He did to Fang too. Probably more often. "Oh.. And our Mother has been staying home for awhile.. Usually she's out doing business work and things of that sort. It's nice to see her again after a few weeks.." "Just the opposite for me -- about mom. Mine's really busy and never has time for us...It's a good change, though. And, no one's as fun to tease if they're sad." She kinda stuck out her tounge. [OMG! Sorry it took so long to reply. ;___; ]

Aiden nodded. "They aren't a common thing, though. They're all wild and untamable but there are certain wizards and witches who go out to keep them safe and stuff. That's what Cat wants to do." He then began fiddling with one of the domino pieces as he thought up a decent explaination. "Well, the Department of Magic is sort of what looks over the wizarding world. They keep people from doing evil things with magic, keep muggles from noticing magic, organize events, keep track of wizards and witches...that sort of thing. They're kind of like our government."

*Luel rose and helped Marie with her coat as they prepared to leave. He drank the rest of his now cool expresso with a grimace and wiped his lips off with a napkin. Disposing of his trash he walked to the door and waited for her, holding it open. He could see that it was a bit chilly for the evening but that was to be expected for the season of autumn. Despite the cooler weather it had always been one of his most favorite season since he had been a small boy. The difference was that now he had someone special to share that with.*

Marie also stood, smiling as he helped her with her coat. Such small gesters never went unlooked by her and she simply loved them all. A good gentleman wasn't always easy to find. Following him, Marie then walked outside, a chilly breeze blowing by and through her hair. Though she loved the turning of leaves in autumn and the eventual snow of the winter, Marie wasn't too fond of being out in the cold for too long. "It's so nice to be with you again, Luel," she said to him as they started off.
