Name Origin: The stranger was stuck beneath the rubble, pinned by the weight of the rocks. There would be no moving her, no seeking help if she couldn’t be freed. The Totoma stood silently, uncertain for only a moment— then she saw it. Near the base of the rocks was a gash in the earth, dry soil only supported by the roots holding it there. The Totoma moved without a second thought, rearing onto her back hooves. Then, she drove her weight into the ground, again and again. The force was enough to dislodge the dirt, the largest rocks tumbling away with it. The stranger had been freed.

First there was the incident with the snakes. Giving the younger ones a scare by wearing the snakes on her head sounded good in theory, but driving them nearly off a cliff was not her intent. Then the experiment with the beaver's dam (to note, it did not end well). Perhaps using it as a shortcut on her way to the best berry patches first had been a triumph in the beginning, but accidentally breaking off a chunk and flooding the other half of the valley had been a disaster. Then there was the landslide. Honestly, making Jumps scream in the pass by playing dead was really great. One after another, small pranks went quite awry for her; how was it her fault that the results were so funny? It wasn't her fault either that no one could take a joke. In the end, though, everyone decided she needed to come with a warning, so Starts Trouble it was.
