"Hm? Oh, hey there little dude." Sub said to the tiny Pichu on his desk, saying dude despite knowing it was a female. "Where did you come from?" He asked the electric type. "I would be careful around this thing though." He said tapping the device.

"Pichu! Pichu!" she shouted at Sub at being called dude. Small sparks could be seen on her cheeks as she jumped up and down on the desk.
"You hear that?" Dan asked Knux as he knocked on the door again. He could hear Electra inside and he could tell she was throwing a tantrum.

"Hot-headed little firecracker, ain't she?" Night said from Sub's door, having heard the Pichu practically b***h-out the boy for referring to her as a he, "So, what'cha working on?"

"Come on in guys." Sub said as he got up and walked over to the door opening it up. "I'm just sitting here as I'm scolded by a Pichu." Sub laughed and turned to Night. "Not really working on anything, just looking at that thing over there." He said pointing to the device on the table, it was one of those chi converters Team Cipher made and tested awhile back. "Look familiar to you?" He asked her, wondering if she would recognize it too.

Night suddenly stiffened at the sight of the device sitting on Sub's desk before she turned her hard glare onto the boy, "Yeah, it does. Where'd you get it?"

He didn't enter just yet, however. Pichu wasn't something he was a fan of.

"Found it back at that Perich gym in Striaton City, in what appeared to be a storage room, inside a locker, just sitting there. I guess that explains how that gym popped up over night, but it also confirms that Perich and Cipher are extremely closely related...too close." Sub said folding his arms as he began to ponder. "Hm? Oh, hey Sol. Maybe, maybe not. You tell me." He said with a laugh.

"I'll assume under the pretense that I'm better off not knowing." Sol said before he finally decided to enter. It was then that he looked at the device Sub was talking about. Apart from the small, yellow squeaky device that decided to scold him.
"Another one? Now, what kind of use would they have for it now? Unless it was indeed for that gym... last night was still a silly affair. Striaton's leaders have a unique way of going about their battles. Something I'll have to learn more on sometime. But to close their gym due to being "too hard" just doesn't set well with me." He said.

"Agreed," Night said, crossing her arms as she propped herself against the wall, "If anything that Perich one was way too easy. Had I known it would have been that simple to beat, I'd have used Enya or Eris. It won't last, trainers will start complaining about it soon."
Glaring down at the device sitting on Sub's desk, the hybrid soon became lost in thought, "However, I say that next time, assuming we will be doing this again seeing as Perich did say they'd be evaluating all the other gyms in the region, I'll take on the real gym. Give those jackasses a real show."

"Beats me." Sub said with a shrug. "I guess it confirms the connection between the two in the least." He said to Sol. "Last night was indeed silly though, that's really the only way to describe it. And don't worry Night, unfortunately I have the feeling this won't be the last gym to be targeted. Which, don't you guys get a funny feeling about all this going on? I mean, it seems a little convenient that Lady Venus threaten the triplets the day before their gym was suddenly evaluated, and closed."

Knux peaked in as well, curiously listening as the others spoke, absorbing info as they mentioned past events and made connections. He'd read up a bit in the logs about past encounters, but clearly experiencing something and reading about it were two different things. Either way, he pat Charmer on the head in thanks for helping them find the pichu.

"As I told Chili, Cress and Cilan, I might've been able to go all out and still have a challenging fight on my hands." Sol said, keeping his attention off Dan's Pichu as much as possible. "I only opted to use Rattata on account of Tsuki and Rook, and because I felt a prompt loss would be a harsher blow. Had I known what I know now, I wouldn't have refrained. So if they're going evaluate the remainder of the gyms as they said, I'll have no qualms in challenging them."
His attention soon went back to Sub. "Too convenient, if you ask me. I think I was right in asking if they would be willing to help us should it come down to having to deal a critical blow to this watered down excuse of a new league."

"Probably should have given it your all," Night said to Sol, "But too late to go back on that now. All we can do it work harder to prevent them from closing down the other gyms. Though, that's probably in vain. If Cipher and Perich have their minds set on closing all the Unova gyms, they're gonna do it whether we interfere or not."

Tsuki walked in the said to Night "Maybe, but we should at least keep an eye on the situation. Or we can just go to Perich but I'm guessing they'd anticipate something like that."

"I won't doubt them giving an excuse like a fight not being enough of a challenge, or them not strictly using a type. Clearly they never heard of the Sinnoh region or its league. A lot of them adapted after learning of their tactics." Sol admitted, nodding. "Regardless, as I see it, the more of the gyms we have on our side, the better off both us and them will be. But if they're still making such a heavy use of chi, even they may not provide enough to deal any substantial damage."
