The Librarian smiled. "Well. As long as we're clear it's my TARDIS, and if they so choose, then they may either rest in my TARDIS for the night, or they may find their own place to sleep. Either way, you, Recorder, will have to fend for yourself." She glared.

"I'll leave it to you." Van said looking down at Mala while the two nuts bickered. "We either spend what little money we have left on a couple of rooms at an inn, or we stay in the magic treehouse belonging to Nutty and Nuttier here."

"Might I remind you who repaired this thing? And might I also remind you who created the rift needed to power it? Which, by the way, I still need to do so that past me can power the machine, therefore being able to bring it here!"

The Librarian scowled. "You coincided with a past version of yourself? You do know the dangers associated with that, correct? Well, piss off and make that rift, then. I'm locking you out." She then looked at the group of travellers. "You don't need to worry about me. I'm perfectly sane and will not be bothering you at all; the Recorder would no doubt be annoying, but he lacks a key to my TARDIS and therefore will not be spending the night in it. I also intend to take a wrench to the chameleon circuit as soon as I can find a good form for the TARDIS, or maybe just reset it to the default." The default was how it was at her home in Gallifrey; a police box. Not that she was trying to impress a certain Time Lord named after a physician... she nearly swooned at the thought of him.

The Recorder sighed. "Once again, passed by for companionship. I suppose this is why I took a desk job. The two last of the Time Lords in this universe, and she's ignoring me for a mortal woman and a local deity." The Time Lord sat next to the TT Device, his head in his hands. "Maybe I'll try the local drink."
(For Narrative convenience, can the Recorder wind up in the same pub that Rincewind and Val are sleeping in?)

The Librarian gave him a look. "Oh, come on. If you were you I highly doubt you'd pay attention to yourself. And get away from my TARDIS."
Angel giggled softly, moving closer to Mala. "I like her."

"This is all because I'm not the Doctor, isn't it?" the Recorder asked, somewhat despairingly. "He doesn't even have hair, anymore!"

The Librarian gave a tiny shrug. "The Doctor is handsome with or without hair. I've also noticed a trend with his regenerations and I believe his next one will be very, very cute." She giggled, then sighed sadly. "If only I were there to see it."

"Oh, I forgot to ask; what do you think of my newest regeneration?" The Recorder asked.

"Wait." She paused, stared hard at him. "You regenerated?"

"Did you not notice the change in bone structure, height, clothing, and hair color?" The Recorder sighed. "Next time, I'll aim for something taller."

"You're quite unremarkable in any form," the Librarian said with a small shrug. "What regeneration is this?"

The Recorder counted off on his fingers. "Let's see... I think that this one is either five or six. Might be seven, I'm not sure. I honestly can't remember. What I do know is that I regenerated when I got quite the nasty shock from fixing this thing."

"Which reminds me." She suddenly went inside the TARDIS, locking it behind her quickly, and then reset its appearance to the default. It slowly shifted into a police box, and then she purposefully broke the chameleon circuit and went out. "Much better than a tree, no?" She laughed, looking at her handiwork.
