Caleb did not say a single word. He picked up the cup with both hands and brought it to the mask, but then stopped. "Will this?"

Moé went over to him, and poked his mask.

Caleb brought the cup though the mask and to his lips, unknowing of how hot the soup was, he drank much. He quickly withdrew the cup when he realized its intensity.

Taro jumped in front of his fleeing bride-to-be, intent on preventing her escape.
"Bye? I simply prefer my beloved to be a willing wife than for her to cry, or worse, for her to become violent." he explained.
"And while it is true I do love your body, " he continued, "it is but one of your charms. You are the ocean, my Love, a beautiful blue horizon of infinitely deep and seductive secrets."

Moé gave a small screech.
"C-Couldn't you feel the heat next to your face?!"
She offered a glass of cold water.

Robin paused, and then thought.
"Oh, no! I'll be la--"
A portal opened, and a female Jiang Shi came out of it, robed in red, skin slightly fuzzy and green, her hair in a long black braid. Her arms were outstretched in front of her, and she moved with rigid hops.
As she spoke, the talisman placed on her forehead blew with her breath.
"I can smell your breath, Mistress Robin. You are late to attend dinner at your home..."
The Jiang Shi sniffed.
"Oh? I smell a... no, impossible..."

"Hello," Taro said as he approached the Jiang Shi with curiosity.
"I haven't seen a vamp so intact in centuries." he said, impressed by the cadaver's appearance. "Is she another assassin you sent to kill me, my Maneki Neko?" the tengu inquired Robin as he once again began to rub her stomach in an attempt to gain good fortune and perhaps comfort the distressed she-devil.

"I am not a vampire. I am a reanimated corpse, serving under Mistress Robin, the vice-leader of the demons. I advise you to stop touching her, or I shall inform her father. Wait... Mistress robin, is he a...?"
"A tengu, yes."
"How odd. There was a huge battle between the tanuki and the tengu, and the tanuki won by a landslide. I've only seen one in my lifetime of over one hundred years. You're the second."

"Qué?" Taro squawked at the Jiang Shi's story,"Those cocky[pun intended] tanuki took on us... well, not us, you and me, but us: tengu." he clarified with slight difficulty. "...You say they won? No wonder I can not find my murder... they must be plotting their vengeance from the shadows."
Inner Taro: My Lord, perhaps that is not the reason for their disappearance...
"Shut up you tumor!" Taro shouted with offense.
"And a vampire is a reanimated corps... with magic, which distinguishes it from being just a zombie." he retorted to his green companion.

The Jiang Shi paused.
"The race is classified... as extinct. Our Lord has ordered a census, and no scouter, in every nook and cranny of every world could find a tengu, save for one resting in a tree. The tanuki feel great shame, as the battle was merely over a village of easy, beautiful women, later proven to actually be malignant fox demons."
