Wallace holds up a finger, signifying that he needs more time. "Still reading. That last entry caught my eye is all."

"Should someone continue his journal for him? With observations on the Nexus? Because if the key to this is in this journal...." Whoa. This was getting heavy.

If we find him ... he could continue his work himself. Or he dug too deep..
::looks at Nick::
If you are sure.

"So...maybe he went poof like one of the buildings? Is there anyone around who ...can't go poof?"

No one else has even a fraction of the knowledge of the nexus that Dox did, and any necessary equipment to record the various phenomena he based his conclusions off of is long disappeared. Even if someone could continue his journal, it'd be pointless.

"All right, so we might not be smart enough...but couldn't we conduct an experiment maybe? We could tinker around and see if we could find that it is that ...makes things happen in the Nexus. In here it says people die and come back to life like this West character or whatever, but what if we had someone who couldn't die? I mean, it seems there are all sorts of people in here...so....why not?"

Looks like injustice international right now. But if memory serves well enough... a man named Tad Ryerstad who had died ... two? years ago has also returned from complete destruction as his body burned from a helicarrier explosion.
That time it was negative 3 a group of rogues who used the lantern rings from New Earth to attempted to destroy something.. or something of that nature here.
So it seems that no one can truly... die here.

"And wait, is says something here about the boiler room. I was in here the other night, and that boiler room started talking about something. And it says here that it is totally random and uncontrolled...and ...this is so weird. It's like living in my own mystery..." Big wobbly eyes time of epic joy.

"Right. Nobody can die, but if buildings start poofing out of existence, what's to say people won't next? I like waking up in someone's bed every morning, and I'd hate to have to stop that."

"I don't know exactly. I'm just trying to absorb all this juicy gossip and then figure out what to do about it. I mean, I can die just as much as anyone else can. I'm not as powerful as some of the other people I've seen around here. I just offer advice."

The last time people went poof..they.. ended up being shrunken and in a bottle.
::Shrugs:: Maybe that has happened again.

Two years ago, a few feet from where we're sitting, Tad Ryerstad was stabbed through the heart with a mystical spear, Lex Luthor was incinerated by an explosion, Victor Creed's body was torn to ribbons by Wolverine and I shot Bullseye in the forehead. They all came back.
As far as I can tell, it's next to impossible to kill someone in the nexus and make it last.
