Hm motivation is tough. Not sure I have any helpful suggestions though.
Maybe you could ...bribe yourself? Like, promise yourself a reward or something?

Yes, that would usually work, except in my case I spent my last $20 on a foreign language placement test. Which I probably failed at tremendously. There's nothing to bribe myself with.
