Actually Loli, 67% of the world put water after putting the toothpaste! (and that includes me).
Yes, we read really useless studies sometimes in psych classes >>
But yeah, you dont put water to the point of removing the paste, just to moisturize it a bit o-o.
Also, funy thing, putting water after helps removing tart, but putting it before helps with cavities.

Well, Serend, that doesn't work like that. It deletes the purpose of putting it before. So you just really improve (slightly, really) that anti-tart, not the anti-cavity.

Then you'll have a fresh smellig breath o-o.
But whatever you put on the toothbrush first doesn't really do anything.
And you should wash your mouth with lestirine, not brush your teeth.

o-o My dentist always said that listerine was even better than toothpaste at brushing. :'o I can't remember WHY, though. >.>

I don't understand you guys! Dx
My dentist is very pro-mouth wash. Though, he says you should do all three -- brushing, flossing, and mouth wash. Mainly because most people don't brush correctly, so you have to compensate.

Nah, that would be a misinformation. It wont get rid of -badthingyIdontknowthenameofinEnglish-, BUT, using Listerine (or any mouthwash) after brushing and flossing increase the efficacy of it by like 50%.
But, in order of "best" to worst would be: Flossing > Brushingwithtoothpast > Mouthwash > Brushingwithwater > Gum.

It does get rid of plague! But usually it's the fluoride that's the good part.

Fluoride, which can be found in most tap water (in NA, at least), hence why putting the water on top of the paste helps =D
