I don't think we have meet, but I might be able to help you with the math problem. xX-The Devils Lover-Xx If x < 0, then (-x * |x|)^1/2 is You solve the second half, then plug in the answer as x.
That is, if I remember right.
So, is the problem negative x times the absolute value of x raised to one half?

That is, if I remember right.
So, is the problem negative x times the absolute value of x raised to one half? If so, then I THINK you can solve it like this.
The ^1/2 is telling you that it is all inside a radical right?
So since x<0
Then -x>0
Take x=-3 for example and plug in:
(-(-3)|3|)^1/2
The absolute value will simply be a three since the absolute value of a negative is positive.
The negatives will counter out leaving a positive three.
(3*3)^1/2
Now you have the square root of nine, which is three.
So answer is -x

Ah, hello. My name is Amy, but I don't like my name so I usually go by Ray or Spanky. Yet, there are a few here who still call me Amy.
Thank you for the help. It didn't confuse me at all, actually. It did confuse my teacher, though, when I tried to explain how got my answer and that I wasn't the only one who got it. Even a college student got -x. I think from what I've read you're in college, anyway. Sometimes I think I should be teaching her even if I am only in middle school.
Anywho, your name is James, right? You know latin, or atleast what et alli means, and you're very into psychology or atleast considering it then med school? I'm too lazy to go back and check if it was you I read about, but I'm pretty confident it was.
