Ricardo-chan I've heard talk at the GW that I go to about a SM rainbow chapter and I wanted to know about them all I know is that no one likes talkin about them and there are blue oh and there they are one of the two SM chapters not talked about at my GW can anyone help me out? Maybe because everybody says that they are gay. Come on, Rainbow chapter? They have a red-white rainbow running over their helmet. To put it in simple terms: "We've got the Lunar Sharks, Sons of Orar, the Scions of Medusa and oh yeah, the Rainbow marines..." As for how they look, bottom row fourt model.

There really isn't any fluff on them, even from the Rogue Trader era. All the really exists is their paint scheme and some old artwork. You can find someone homebrew fluff here. EDIT: Damn you, Brookmaaaaa aaaaaaaaan!

The only situations in which this should occur is when one or the other has gone traitorous. well the blood ravens fought the kronos first regiment That would be because Relic needed to invent a reason for Space Marines and Imperial Guard to be separate factions in a campaign setting. Which, oddly enough, just reinforces my point. wink
heresy and the Inquisiton are a great reason for infighting.

They dont have to be heretics. For example, the book "Grey Knight" I think that was the name by Counter. The Grey Knights fight sisters of battle, neither side is heretical, theyve just been mislead. Or say how the Iron Handes will fight loyal bodies just because they didnt meat their standards. Or the sisters will fight anyone because everyone whos not trying to lick the divine emperor's a** is a heretic.

they are highly religous and will kick the a** of someone that defies them.
wich they are very good at btw.

How come the (majority of) space marine leaders don't wear helmets? (or come to think of it, any army leader)

Either that, or the heroes are so bad-a**, their forehead can deflect bullets.
The rebreathers look cool on the sargeants.

It's interesting how different things look cool on only certain ranked models, considering they're mostly the same model usually, it's just the mental thing. sweatdrop

Although wearing a helmet is good protection, and the technology good, they do dull the senses somwhat. It makes seeing and hearing a lot harder, because of a limited field of vison and muffled/digitised audio. Experiences Marines pass up the extra protection for better sensory emmersion.
