"I was going to say that avoiding him won't help too. I spend alot of time with the person I kinda am interested in, but before I used to avoid him. It didn't help at all with me trying to get over him. It just made me feel worse." arrow says quietly. He looks at Fox. "I'm glad you're starting to feel better though. I've tried to help with that."

Fox smiles a little, and tilts his head back against the edge of the spring, "I know you have. You've been a really good friend to me the past little while, and I really appreciate it, y'know."

"Before, my friends were pretty much Wind and Flower... and that wouldn't have been very good in this situation." Fox closes his eyes. He has no idea how he would have ever gotten through this without Arrow's friendship, actually.

Fox didn't have to take care of Arrow too much longer, in a few days he was more or less ready to take care of himself, and go back to his headscout duties (although to Fox's knowledge they were still leaving him out of active scouting duty).
A few days after that, Fox decides he better start working again, although he manages to work out getting only half-days, as a sort of transition. Fox hadn't really been over to Arrow's much since the nightscout had recovered, but after his first day back on the job he decides to head over there. He doesn't knock, he just lets himself in, since he'd gotten used to doing that when Arrow was injured.

Arrow looks up from his sprawled position on the couch. He had been reading but he also knew that there were only two people that would enter his house without knocking: Cy and Fox. He was happy to see that his visitor was the latter. He'd expected that Fox would be dropping by that night, because it was his first day back, working with Wind. Arrow smiles. "Hi." he says. He'd long ago given up his arrogant attitude while around Fox. With the adept he didn't have to hide behind his looks and his charisma, with Fox he could be himself.

"Hi." Fox sighs a bit slumps down on a chair near the couch, "It almost seems weird to have the couch in the living room..."

Arrow sits up and moves to the edge of the couch closest to Fox. "Stressed?" he asks, resting a hand on Fox's shoulder.

"I'm ok." he says. He's still a little self-concious about the scarring that the changecat's claws had caused. He didn't like the way that his co-workers looked at him when they saw him either. He knew that he worked in a dangerous feild, but he'd never had that sort of thing happen before. He motions to the long still slightly pink line down his cheek. "It shocks them. They saw me as invincible because I never get hurt. Now they aren't so sure. The newer ones are getting scared on shift too now and they still won't let me do any scouting, even though I'm the boss." he says.

"I think that'll be better for them in the long run. They need to know that nobody is invincible. It's a bit of a tough way to learn that lesson, but they're better off knowing it. I don't think I'd let you back on active duty yet either, personally. You aren't completely back to healthy."

Arrow rolls his eyes. "I hate sitting back in the office doing stuff. I mean, it's not bad some of the time, but that's ALL I'm doing. It gets rather boring." he says.
The Night scout leans his head against Fox's shoulder. "Are you sure you're ok?" he asks.
