No, It isn't that big a deal, But in the future if this comes up, I'd like to know about any conclusions of the crew.
@ -o-Havik-o- I know, but you went on and made a post and you never waited for a responce from me. And I came to this thread because I was somewhat sure a crew member wasn't monitoring us. Plus, this affects the entire guild.

I get its a Naruto based guild and I assumed the elements worked as they do in Naruto on a basic level. In this case the basic level being wind and fire elements being used to power each other in certain instances. I believe this is one of those instances which is what this whole things is about. I thought he was going to send a P.M. saying he didn't agree then a mod would look it over each of use would say why it should and shouldn't work and then a decision would be made, I did not foresee it making this big a deal.
Edit*lol Does not effect the entire guild, I simple made a post whith what I thought would happen that did not mean we couldn't further discuse what was going to the the finale matter. My post was ment so that you could see what I meant, and what I thought was going to happen I didn't know you were going to go into other threads I assumed we were going to talk it out in the class room since that is what it is for.

After reviewing it, Havik's jutsu wins. Not because of anything elemental or the descriptions of the jutsu, but because fighting a C ranked defensive jutsu with an E ranked direct offensive jutsu just doesnt work. Rank of jutsu is always the largest factor.

It is a D ranked offencive, But I was affraid that rank would be my downfall. Stupid using all my chuunin jutsu on Ink artistry and seals...
Thank you very much.
@ -o-Havik-o- It somewhat does, because if anyone else was in that predicament, then they'd have something to refer to.

I suppose if its D rank and of the Opposing element it would do some damage, but not enough to completely dispel the tornado. You would need a C ranked Katon whose effect is widespread fire damage, rather than a fireball or a focused area, to completely dispel is, since I think that was your intention.

Weaken or make a small area above my dragon to keep it from dieing. Basic defencive measures for my dragon. But oh well. So I'd need a jutsu of equal rank to get rid of it. That's very good to know.

Something I notice missing from this "debate". The reason wind is weak to fire, is quite simple. Take a ball of oxygen, and add a flame. Boom. Adding wind to a fire jutsu powers it up by giving it extra flame. As for lighting a wind tornado on fire with a fire jutsu, I don't think that would work. in this situation, the wind jutsu is more powerful than the fire. When there is too much air added at once, fire goes out. Same for throwing fire into a large area of moving air, such as a tornado. It's like tossing a match into an air vent.
Now, you mentioned removing something required to form a tornado Neru. No, changing that wouldn't work. Simply because this is not a naturally formed tornado. If you messed with that balance on a real one, it might work, but this tornado has none of the natural forces. It's just a spinning funnel of chakra powered wind. Ninja Magic.

True. I guess I should have accounted for the metaphysical attributes of jutsu. I'll keep that in mind next time I try to defeat a jutsu.

So even with lightning resistance training (and ninja magic) an attack like chidori would leave your hand with third degree burns right?

..........what? No! Is that really what it says? If a chidori caused third degree burns by using it, you would only be able to use it twice, because after that, you would've burned off both your hands.

Not necessarily, Although it would hurt quite a bit, you'd probably be stuck with second degree, or first degree. ( Depending on the gloves you wear, or if you even wear gloves. )

NO it doesn't say that but lightning resistance training doesn't do much to protect you from lighting based jutsu of your own or others, or am I confuzzled somehow? How exactly does it work?

If a chidori caused third degree burns by using it, you would only be able to use it twice, because after that, you would've burned off both your hands. He is talking about how the electrical resistence training says that the shocks don't harm you as much, but they are still harmful, just not on a grand scale. ( The last sentence in the jutsu. ) Quote: Teikou no Kuntou (Electricity Resistance Training) Description: While not necessarily a technique that must be taken, most Cloud-nin are taught this at the Academy. ( There are quite a few sentences removed because of the post's length with them in the post. ) A person who doesn't take this skill will generally feel pain when even performing their own electricity based techniques, also one who tends to take this ability tends to notice that minor shocks generally do not hurt them as badly.
