With a quiet sigh, Iden shook his head. He knew this would be hard, but he hadn't suspected HOW hard. With the Wyrm trying to tempt him, and the woman begging in such a scintillating manner, he was glad he possessed a firm will.

If only to shut the woman up, Iden spiked the metal into her eye and left it there. Then, he squeezed, constricting her throat until she could speak no more.

So I guess I have to bleed the poison out of you, then? Of course you ******** cant make it easy. Bloody quasi-deities and your stuffed up senses of granduer.

He wasn't angry...well, not any more than before. He wasn't frustrated or cursing. He was simply resigned to do what he had to, and that meant strangling Javos' once mate. He'd need to apologize to the good old cat again for this.

Do shut up for me, or the voicebox is next.

Once more, the Wyrm's voice went without answer.

Now. Once again. Javos. You know something I do not. Lets be civil, and maybe you can have something. Maybe your eye back, maybe a taste of what you found so wonderful a day ago. That...is up to you.

The words were a feral purr in the woman's ear. The Wyrm meant nothing to him, he drowned the voice out as he whispered the words to his victim. It was her, ultimately, that Iden was dealing with. Once more, he eased off her throat, and drew a second scrap of metal. He placed it against her voicebox, to add emphasis on the threat.

Progress...a little less editorializing, please. I swear, this is why I don't care for you lot. ******** this, sex that, come on. A guy can have more motivation than just his testicles. Now...where is this old site?

His grip was tight. He let her writhe, but he didn't give her enough space to fight him. Knowing her, and who she served, he wasn't taking any risks.

Seriously, that's just bleak. You gotta find yourself a new boss, or a better union. You're lucky...I'm not big on rape, even when its offered on such a silvered platter as your big bad Wyrm just slapped you on.

Iden sighed. Fanatics were one of the points he was not fond of. They were so...irrational. Not even irrational in a way he could understand, either.

Alright. Here's the deal. I can't trust you to stay put, and I'm not done with you yet. So once again, the ultimatum. I'll ask you politely...please just come quietly. It's a far bigger pain on us both if I have to keep you drained and beaten down just to leave the damn house.

Now why would that be? The big cheese, favoring someone who's actively robbing him of supporters and offering one of his most loyal for the unclean neophyte to have his way with? Methinks you put too much stock in your boss.

He sighed. Of course, the Wyrm made things complicated. Did he want to do any of the above? Not particularly. But he was going to. So he tore the shard of metal from her eye, and hauled her onto his shoulders again. He didn't know where this old site was. Best he could guess, it'd be at the lake. If he was wrong...well, he hoped the woman would tell him if he was wrong, otherwise he'd be walking for quite a while with no real goal, and taking her to the earth with him for the day would prove...complicated.

When she spoke, Iden almost smacked her, on principle. But the words were not what he'd expected. As such, he obliged and let her to her feet. His eye was on her, now. If she tried to bolt, things would risk getting ugly. For the time being, though, they would make their way together. His arm would be around her back, giving his shoulder as support.

Iden hissed his irritation softly.

Dammit, come on!

It was not good for her to stop. Quickly, he knelt and scooped her up in his arms. He'd carry her, if he had to, and just keep off the streets and out of the way. It was the best he could do at the time. Dawn was coming, and he wasn't sure if he COULD take her with him if he went to the earth.

At least I didn't hog tie you, toss you in a truck, and molest the ******** out of you for a week.

The dawn was coming. He knew it. It was a surprise that he hadn't been jumped, honestly...he'd been lucky, even though that luck was being strained now.

When I rest today, I'm going to try and take you with. Try not to struggle, I don't want one of us stuck half-buried.

He would run until an hour was left, then he would try it in a secluded corner of an old lot. He let her feet fall to the earth, and wrapped his arms around her back. He wasn't the most gentle person when he pressed her face into his shoulder.

Bite down. It'll be easier if you have a bit to drink first. No, that's not a request, and no, I'm not going to take advantage of it. Just do it.

Whether she bit or not was her choice...he'd shove her teeth into his shoulder if she didn't, then hold her as tight to his frame as he could when he dissolved into the earth. He hoped it would work...otherwise the next hour would be a frantic attempt to duct tape a hole shut to keep him from burning alive when the sun rose.
