"Because he's a drug addict who lost his stash?" Antony explained, raising an eyebrow as if it really weren't that too far of a stretch. "He was livid, thought I took them simply because I kneed him in the cash and prizes when he compared me to the bearded lady."

Sighing irritably, the tattooed woman glanced seriously over to the fish girl, "Really, he's a skeezy a*****e... Caught him coming onto Colche at the beach once too..."

Awen frowned. So it was confirmed the guy was a druggie. Not that she was surprised at that much, it fit perfectly with how he was reacting and everything. She was surprised however at the violence that was taken on a suspision. Maybe Awen was spoiled, lucky, whatever; but she never had to deal with this kind of thing and had never known an incedent so fresh happening to someone she knew.

But coming onto Colche? That was... simply not right. Awen wasn't sure how old the cheeta was, old enough anyway, but she wasn't quite up to speed in other aspects. If he was trying to take advantage of Colche... Awen would not like that. She rolled her shoulders a little bit. But then again, if he had been on drugs at the time it... would explain enough. Maybe he wasn't that much of a skeezy guy. If he wasn't under the influence he probably wouldn't have done that. Just looking on the bright side of things, people weren't really bad inherently...right? Still she would be careful around this guy from now on....

"That's crap then... He seemed a bit of a jerk but not so bad when I was talking to him last. Got a nasty cut on his arm from Joliette and thought I should fix it up so it didn't get too infected.... Didn't know about all this crap though." She shrugged a little bit. Even knowing what she did now...Awen would probably fix his arm again. She just couldn't bare to ignore someone that was hurt, even if they were greasy scum bags.

"He's been nothing but cruel to me once I wouldn't have sex with him," Antony shrugged, locking eyes with the manta woman, "I'm not as much of a whore as you may think."

That's what all the girls usually thought of me, especially the 'other girls.'

"Anways," she interjected before a long silence could form, "If it weren't for Chert... Then he probably would have killed me." As much as she hated to admit it, this was true. The way he was shaking and how pissed off he was, it would have been inevitable.

Awen blinked and sat up a little straighter at the comment about Antony not being as much of a shore as she thought. She blushed a little bit and tried to think of what words to stumble over to excuse her reaction. Great now she knows what you were thinking.

Thankful that she continued with something else Awen shamefully looked down at her plate. "Glad Chert was around... He's a good guy, after the shock and everything then?" She smiled a little bit, glad to know he was just freaking out and not that he was mean or anything.

Awen confirmed her suspicions, and the tattooed girl simply raised her eyebrows briefly, a cocky smile showing for even less time.

"Yeah, he's just got a temper like me," she chuckled, looking up at the clock to check the time when Chert was brought up. Antony had left him in bed since it was quite early and he looked so much more at ease that way. "That reminds me, I should get back to my duplex. For all I know, Mr. Duchebag may still be after me."

Awen nodded a little bit before looking up again. "You want someone to go with ya. I mean... er... maybe not safe to be wandering alone. I can't do much...but that's what he would expect ya know? Besides this thing's heavy could just topple it onto him." Awen grinned a little bit. Yeah it was heavy..fell on Awen the other day, she would know.

But Awen looked down again for a moment and adopted a more somber-esque tone. "Sorry Antony. I'm trying not to.... I mean... just... urk... I just don't understand the appeal to that kinda lifestyle. And ya know... what one doesn't understand and all, kinda... crappy of me. So...sorry."

"That's okay," she kindly dismissed Awen's offer, "I've been going through the jungle and out of the way. Kind of paranoid, but it works. Don't think the IV will wheel well in the jungle."

And then she finally addressed the whore comment.

"I know, it's just easier to judge and blanket stereotype than to see who a person really is." There was a little bite in that comment, but her face didn't show any anger. Instead, she simply smiled before gathering a take out type box and piling up a whole entire breakfast into it. She even got the lunch lady person to give her a jug of both milk and orange juice.

She looked as if she were just stocking up so she could stay in her duplex.

As an after thought, Antony got another box and piled it with seeds and nuts. The squirrel had demanded it.

Awen chuckle from the thought of trying to wheel her IV through the jungle was cut short by the blanket statement. When Antony got up and was piling the food into a take out box Awen ate for a bit, watched for a bit. But when the nuts and seed were in the last box and it shut Awen made sure to look up again.

"See you later Antony... I'd like to start seeing who you really are..." In a sense that could be taken badly, or it could be taken for the cheesey-yet-sincere statement it was. Awen was pretty sure Antony got the drift and nodded a bit. That was it. This manta girl had been a complete a** after their talk. She was supposed to put harsh feelings behind and she realised she hadn't done that. Who was she to judge how this person was all around just because she slept with Jamal? She had forgiven Jamal all too easily, even though he had done the most wrong of the situation, so how was it fair to keep this barrier up with Antony? Really it was pety and Awen knew it. She would make an effort this time. "And um.. just yell if the skeeze finds ya on the path. I'll wheelie my way to someone that could help asap."

Antony glanced over to Awen with the cheesy statement, but simply turned and headed for the door, "Will do. Be careful."

Despite the fact that she was curt, Antony meant no ill will, but she simply wanted to get back to her duplex before Chert woke up. Hopefully he hadn't left before she could thank him properly.

It wasn't long before the tattooed girl was out of sight and the food was out of aroma range.

Awen nodded and once Antony left she looked down to her food again. She continued her meal in silence now that no one was around. Well no one but the cafeteria lady anyway, but she seemed busy and not much wanting to talk.

She thought, despite being near strangled the other day that Antony was in a rather good mood. Awen wondered if she had actually seen Jamal yet...

Valentine Hawthorne

((And continued yet again. D: ))

Valentine felt the handshake waver for just a second, but didn't let any trace of her embarrassment show in her face. She had gotten very good at reading handshakes, in her years as an intern, and then later businesswoman. Zach's was cautious and slightly timid, but firm nonetheless. He lingered not a second longer than he had to. She also caught the glance he flicked towards her hand after he released it, but brushed it off with the excuse that Zach certainly wasn't a hypocrite, he was too nice.

A glimmer of surprise crossed Valentine's face at her neighbor's familiarity with her company, though she shouldn't have been suprised - BVI was relatively well-known, in drug circles. His statement was correct, though, and made Valentine smile with pride. "Yes, as a matter of fact we were. We're quite proud of Netarin, and the progress it's made." The drug had made quite a stir when it had first been approved by the FDA, with many skeptics claiming that it wasn't possible to have a drug that could actually treat diabetes, and that the only treatment possible was stem cell therapy. Her company had proven them all wrong, though, and with the amount of diabetics in the world (especially Type II), Netarin was doing a booming trade.

Valentine's initial wince of sympathy for Zach's accident turned into a frown of disbelief. The part of her that was whispering about Moreau's evil plots grew louder, even as a larger part of her mind refuted it. "It's not possible..." Valentine's voice trailed off, but yet another part of her, her most traitorous part, slipped a bit of awe into that sentence.

"The technology for this isn't advanced enough...unless...no, that's too crude! But it's just the kind of thing Moreau would do - what?!" The woman had initially been talking to Zach, but had slipped into her own sort of world. The last word had jarred her right out of it, and against her better instinct, she threw her head back and laughed. The laugh was jarring, though, and there wasn't a trace of amusement in it. "Oh, that's just TOO rich! Dear little Nerdy Nicky all grown up! Oh, I just can't believe it!" Valentine dissolved in peals of hysterical laughter, even as she was saying things like, "The technology he must be using is so primitive!" and, "He must have enlisted Aubrey to help! The girl would do anything for him, he never deserved her."

Abruptly, she countered herself with the sentence, "I never should have let him shoot me up. I knew there was something amiss." Her maniacal laughter ceased immediately, and Valentine whipped out her cell phone, and punched a number, then shook it vigorously. "No service," she growled. "There must be service, surely Moreau has TV." A feeling of cold dread rippled down her spine, and she paled to a sheet-white as the gravity of her situation truly dawned on her. Never...going back. She'd never see Jennifer, her mother, her company, Roger, anyone ever again. Ever. Ever. Ever.

More hysterics spouted from the manic woman, though this time it was hysterical tears. She suddenly felt very lonely, and very cold. All the times she had wished she could stay on vacation forever had come back to haunt her, now. Turning on her heel, Valentine slumped her way back into her duplex. She seemed very drained, and it wouldn't be surprising to find her heartbeat had just slowed about ten beats per minute.

"Ha..koo..naa..mutata..watta..uhm..wunnerful,,fur..aise" Oh yes she had watched lionking. Twice at least. Antony hadn't come to watch it with her but having been taught how to use the DVD player all she had to do was put the disc in and she was watching a film all about big kittys. She even spotted a one of what she was at the beggining.

The smile on her cheetah maw could only be expressed as one of joyful exhuberance. The cheetahs usually sombre expression was just impossible to keep up on that oh so sweet face, her huge blue eyes danced happily as she tried to mimic and remember the words from the song which timon and pumba and ultimately Simba sang. She had of course been a bit sceptical about Pumba, he was a piggy, piggies were eman, but pumba was a nice piggy so it was okay.

Finding it some what of an effort to remember all the words she decided to hum occassionally saying hakunamatata . "It means no worries.." she giggles, she was one person who didn't have any worries, most of the time any way.

Colche

Pyroth Ignatius

Pyroth was quite content himself, out for a walk with his mug of coffee in hand, intending to drop it off direct to the cafeteria when he was done, it had become a morning ritual for him, shower, coffee, walk.

He didn't normally meet anyone on his walks though, the island typically quiet at this time. However today, he picked up the faintest sounds of someone singing, a familiar voice. He grinned slghtly, it had been a long time since he last saw Colche around, so, taking another sip of his coffee, he headed over, walking into view.

"Hello there." he said brightly, before actually taking in how much she had changed since their last encounter. No doubt about it now what species she was becoming. The shock was only visible in his expression for a moment, then was gone, he didn't want to dull anyone's mood by dredging up their hassles.

He gave Colche a warm grin "Long time no see."
PostPosted: Thu Mar 16, 2006 3:50 am

"Pyroth!!" Colche exclaimed pouncing at the hairy man and hugging him, somehow managing not to tip hiis coffee all over her nice clean fur. She giggled happily swaying ehr long slender tail before standing upright and looking at the hairy man with a smile on her pretty maw "Got long tail" she stated, she liked to show people whom she hadn't sen for a while her long tail. Most people on the island weren't exactly pleased about being turned in to animals, Colche wasn't exactly phased by it though.

Swaying her long tail as she turned around she grinned, Pyroth didn't know what she was..did he? well she ahd to tell everyone "colche a princess cheetah" she giggles happily, it was hard to put the little cheetah girl in a bad mood, she didn't even notice Pyroths look of destress.

"Pyroth smells funny" she giggles, a faint oder of something she had smelt before clung to the mans body, showers just didn't seem to get rid of that smell. Billy smelt of it in the extreme, of course, billy was bad and Pyroth wasn't, she couldn't exactly put ehr finger, uh paw, on the smell any way so she just smiled happily.

Colche

Pyroth was actually surprised by how glad he was to see Colche alive and well -ignoring her feline alterations- he had been hoping she would make it through the jungle episode alright. He nodded as she showed off her tail "So you have, it's longer than mine." his own tail was still rather short but long enough to get in the way when he was getting dressed in the morning.

As she explained what she was, he couldn't help but grin, at least someone was being positve about their changes, probably a first on the island. "A princess? You certainly are very pretty." Which was true, Colche's bright contentment would probably have shone through even the most gruesome of changes, making them seem so much less.

However, he was thrown off somewhat by her mention of his scent, and he wondered just /what/ she smelled from him, he hadn't exactly been sitting around these past few days. He shrugged slightly and added "I do? Maybe I need another shower, fur is a nightmare to clean." he didn't bother trying to explain away his excesses.

"So, what have you been up to lately?" he asked "I haven't seen you since before we were all kicked into the jungle."
