I tried to join Em squad but I dont think Nelo liked my profile very much because he never replied. Probably deleted it stare .

You were sixty years old during the time of Yavin IV.

As well as never having flown before, I thought it was a gag.

I dont know what's with me but I usually like playing as the old codger.

Dude. That's freakin' old. That's like Ben Kenobi piloting an X-wing against the Death star...

Well he may be old...but he sure is tenacious.

At least I didn't mention the...

ROGUE SQUADRON games.

Talk about making the X-wing a God Ship.

The X-wing was a god ship ever since the battle of Yavin. They kept making it better and better, even after its replacement came out. Why else would they choose to make the X-wing better than the E-wing? Short of dumbing down the electronics so an R2 can fly in it, the E-wing was superior. Then the X still continued as the staple fighter....

Though again, read the post when I quoted myself. i added some more information about denying you a squint.

You mean the uniformity in a squadron... Not true for the Rebels in the Galactic Civil War.

Rogue Squadron even had a mix of craft most of the time. Tycho flew an A-wing at Endor, when they were assigned to the Calamari Cruiser Liberty they used every fighter in the Alliance Arsenal, from Z-95s to T-wings and B-wings. They flew them all during that campaign against Task Force Vengeance... basically they took either what the mission called for or the ship that actually worked at the moment.

Yes, but what i'm saying is that a squadron did not look like:

2 Xwings
1 Ywing
2 Awings
1 Tie Defender
1 Tie interceptor
1 Jedi interceptor...

etc...

the squadron flew what was assigned to them. but there were at least 3 of each ship. Wingmen flew the same ships as their leaders, for the most part, in a normal flight outfit. You didn't see an x-wing with a y-wing and an awing for wingmen.

That would be just silly.

Its not as silly as someone asking me to let them fly a mockup of the falcon once as their "fighter of choice".

I know squadrons took different fighters depending on roles. but they didn't each have a different fighter for every pilot. most missions demanded one or two fighter types, not 4, 5, or 6.

Flying an interceptor for the rebels is just another breach which I'm not about to make. that, and it reminds me too much of the Rogue squadron games.

Right now, we're using A and X-wings for the current Em Squad mission.

Other squadrons will bring in more X's, B's, andperhaps A's. But its only a diversion fight; it only draws the Imperials out of the sanctuary trade route and into the galaxy, so there are less to fight at endor.

The next fight will involve some stealth, with Y's and X's, to knock out communicatoin relays and sensors to allow the shuttle Tyderium to be stolen.

Though I just have this to say about not letting me use a Squint. Haven't you ever read the later Wraith Squadron books. They use a mixture of Squints and X-wings... even pairing the two as wingpairs.

No, cadillacs are not feasible for continous atmospheric flight, no matter how much begging or donating you do. Though please try; i need money.

We're not in that era though.

We're not in the Wraith Squadron books.

Thus, I don't give a whoppin' hoot how much they use it later on. I don't see how being in a normal squint with no hyperdrive will allow you to hyperspace to our location, because guess what? We're not dragging a frigate to haul your butt to every mission, nor am I going to give you a hyperdrive so that you can keep up.

If you dont' want to join because you can't have a unique toy for yourself, then I'd seriously be asking myself why am I joining an RP for? I'm not going to make an exception so you can invent yourself a ship in this RP, despite it saying its a Rebel fighter squadron, with rebel fighters.
