Hi Hi, am I still allowed here?

Well well, I'm posting anyhow. Now now, so happy?

But it very depressing depressing. Some of my hard-core Harry Potter fans have split their alliances. They gaglovegag Twilight now. There there, I'm not saying that Twilight is bad. But it's still quite sad.

Hey... I have a Twilight guild.... but I'm still way hardcore for Harry Potter... Harry fuels my magic addiction, Twilight fuels my vampire addiction. Because there aren't enough mentions of vamps in Harry Potter, and my mom got me addicted at an early age (earlier than when I started reading Harry Potter, in fact... we used to watch Buffy together... Angel was my first crush xd )

It's ok, we've all been having issues lately... When I go home I may not be able to get on as much because my moms computer sucks...

I totally agree with you, Mia; Twilight and Harry Potter are totally different, and they both suit a different thing. I'm jsut as addicted to them both as you are!!!

I'm probably going to hexed for saying this...I disliked Twilight and never read the rest of the books in the series. The plot was similar to that of many online vamp fan fictions that were out before Meyer's works were published, and I suspect that she "borrowed" some ideas. The characters were shallow and underdeveloped; readers were expected to take them at face value. The book abruptly changed from sappily romantic (I only like romance as a sub-plot, not a main one.) to an action storyline. Meyer freely admits that she knows little about vampyrs, and her books reflect her lack of research. I'm not saying I hate Twilight, but I dislike it. I can't completely loathe because I enjoyed one line in it:

"How old are you?"
"Seventeen."
"How long have you been seventeen?"
"A while."

I'm just sharing my opinion; it doesn't bother me that other people like Twilight even though I don't. But in case any of you try to attack me...*charms Protego sheilds around herself*...Ah, that's better!

Anyway, has anyone gone on any holidays this summer? I'm going to see a play on the second of August, and I'll definitely be taking a holiday next month. I'm simply unsure of where yet. sweatdrop

I honestly liked the books simply because they were different than other vampire books I've read. The lack of previous knowledge is refreshing, because it means that she used her own ideas instead of making her vampires the same as every other vampires that have ever been written. I like the love/action stories a lot, and I don't think the change was all that abrupt in a sense that it couldn't happen. I love romance stories, so it being a main plot doesn't bother me. The characters weren't that underdeveloped in my opinion, after the first book. Throughout the series we are given the history of each of the Cullens to help us understand who they are, and Bella reminds me of myself in a lot of ways, so it's hard for me to consider her underdeveloped. Twilight was a tad iffy with certain characters (really everyone but Edward and Bella). I think that all of the important characters were very well developed, and the background characters were a tad flat... Still, it's a love story, which is one of my favorite things in the world.

I agree with you, Mia; that was what i loved about those books. She totally went away and did the opposite of the myths. Instead of dying in the sun, glittering. Instead of cobwebbed houses, nice white ones. Instead of black capes, t-shirts and jeans. And I've never read a love story that powerful; I was in shock when I finished reading New Moon. They are just so passionate. It's hard to believe that anyone could ever feel that way about somebody else.

Hello everyone.

I'm here to tell you all that our loved Aqua, will be away from the guild. This means that I (prefect) should be the go to person...for the time being.

If you have any questions, concerns, comments, anything! Let me know!

We all hope she comes back as soon as possible!

**Er...and may I remind people...this is a Harry Potter Guild...not Twilight...so this I think would be better suited for the chatter box, or Mia's lovley guild.

Thank you for the compliment on my guild, Super... although you know... this is supposedly the thread where we can talk about anything among our housemates...

And Super, I might not be on much in a while, because I'm going home to a s l o w computer, but if you need any help with anything I'll try to be on.

Just letting you know. Wuv ous!

Ha ha... what kind of RP exactly?

And I will try to spend time at Kyra's house and get my uncle to bring the laptop over when he can... but other than that... yeah.

Yay I'm loved!
