"Well, come on." Bakura didn't necessarily come in contact with Rei, but ushered her out the door.

Rei nodded and hurried out the door. She was silent hugging the children to her.

There was, suddenly, a sickening crack sound behind Rei. Bakura fell to the ground, quite unconscious, and one of the filthy-looking men from earlier stepped out of the shadows, holding a rock about the size of a loaf of break in his hands. He stood above the thief for a moment, gloating in his victory, even though it was a cruel thing to hit someone when their back was turned.

"No!" rei said and quickly knelt by bakuras side making sure he had a pulse.

He did, but the man quickly grabbed Rei's arm, hauling her to her feet. "Well, if you aren't a pretty little thing." His breath stank of alcohol.

Rei's nose wrinkled "Well don't you smell awful..." she commented "Let go of me."

"Heh heh heh... now why would I do a thing like that? I'm sure there's a hefty price on your head as well, traveling with the thief and all." It seemed, that no matter what time (except maybe his childhood), Bakura was a wanted man. "But that doesn't mean I can't have my fun with you first."

Rei let out a sigh "Oh well. I did warn you..." out a nowere a wicked looking blade plunged into his stomach. she draged it up before kicking him away. She had noticed this in bakuras pocket when she knelt to see if he was ok. "You shouldent asume all women are helpless. It may cost you your life." she said smirking. she wiped the blade off on the man before stuffing it in her own pocket. She now tried to carry bakura along with her children.

The back of Bakura's head was bleeding, and rather heavily at that. The man fell to the ground where he flailed, making gargly sounds. A few people's interests were caught at the commotion, and little Egyptian heads poked out of the doors to see what was going on.

Rei quickly pulled bakura back into the room locking the door behind her. Setting the children down she ripped the bottom of her dress and wraped bakuras head tightly.

Murmurs could be heard from outside as the other people came out of their rooms, examining the now dead body. "Well? I'm not saying we should go to authorities, since he was breaking the law..." The Egyptians, obviously, had laws against both killing and raping.
"Get him up. I'm not having my floor ruined. b*****d shoulda known what was coming to him. Don'tcha know what that Bakura does? Struts around, calling himself 'King of Thieves' and parading around the palace grounds all the time..." Another person, the hotel owner, didn't care to keep his voice down. "Hmph. I heard he killed an entire village as a kid, but if he could be taken out that easily... I say we got a chance."

Rei for now ignored everybody else and justmade sure the bleeding stoped.She wanted to make sure he was ok.

There was more mumbled conversation, then a knock on the door. "Hey, lady... Do you need any help?"
