Izumi blinked, surprised. "Alchemy is a science that converts matter into another form. Of course, there are several binding laws. For example, a substance can only be created from the same type of substance. For example, if something is mostly water, you can only use it to make other things with the atributes of water. In other words, the basics of alchemy is the 'equivilant exchange'. That means that to obtain something, something of eual value must be lost." She cleared her throat. "Why would you want to know that?"
