The Tangela only grinned (even though you couldn't see it) and took the hit, once again latching on and using Giga Drain. Its body sparkled with a faint green light as it healed itself yet again.
"Your Meowth needs to learn to keep his distance," Erika commented, her tone calm and collected.

A smug look appeared on Toph’s face and she lifted her hands in a confused shrug. "What say that your pokemon is a little crybaby? Honestly if he can't take a little criticism then he really is pathetic." She said that last part in an actual advice giving way. " The whale needs to get over it and deal with it." She said not caring really at Mikes threat, if he wanted to get mad over something that small then he was welcome to. She ignored the fact that she was being a bit hypocritical there. "Where did that fire come from though?" She asked. It wasn't everday that when someone got mad fire appeared.

"I never said he was the smartest." Dante commented from the side as he watched Meowth get hit again by the attack. Sighing and feeling abit bad about this he called over to the cat. "Meowth come back here you are poisoned and wont be of much use in a bit. Don't make me recall you into your pokeball." He threatened. The cat pokemon looked back at Dante and glared at him for a moment before his shoulder slumped in defeat. For once not saying anything the cat pokemon trudged over to where Dante was standing and sat down next to him in an attempt to save his strengh. Dante looked down at the dissapointed cat. "Sorry about that but I do need you to stay in good health." That being said he turned his attention back to the battle. Pulling out another pokeball he gave a slight smirk before tossing it out to reveal his silly Vibravera Bahamut. The dragon pokemon gave an excited squeal upon being released and flew around the arena a few times happily.

Mike imagined the sweet sound of her neck popping as he strangled the air. "Alright you little snot, you want to see just how pathetic Beacon is?" He lowered his arms, crossing them over his chest. "I challenge you and whatever Pokemon you have to a battle. I can use Beacon and one other Pokemon of my choice, you can use however many Pokemon you want." The trainer refused to show the brat any respect. "Do you accept or are you pathetic yourself?"

"Geez are you still mad at me? Honestly your pokemon starts crying and you get all mad? I didn't even touch the thing. It needs to grow a back bone if something that weak affected it." Toph said starting to get mad again. "Fine if a battle is what you want then I accept!" Toph said crossing her arms across her chest and giving a small glare at Mike.

Mike grabbed Beacon's flipper and stomped back to the room where he had left Xanthos and Napalm. To his surprise Napalm had fainted on the ground, the Crawduant standing over him. Upon hearing Mike return, Xanthos looked a little frightened, waving his claws to signify it wasn't him. Mike only sighed, returning both of them. He whirled around, tapping his foot and waiting for his challenger.

Toph watched Beacon get dragged away by Mike and snorted. "Honestly he cries about a little insult and doesn't care that his trainer drags him around? Come on Edge lets go." Toph said motioning for the Zangoose to follow her and they left.
The Geodude seeing as they left picked himself back up and followed them as well.
Sensing Mike nearby Toph stopped and crossed her arms over her chest. "Well what now?" She asked irritatedly. Honestly she was reconsidering her earlier thoughts on kicking this guy where the sun doesn't shine.

After knocking, Kasiya pressed her ear to the door and listened. She couldn't hear anything on the other side. She considered knocking again, but changed her mind, and reached for the door handle. Surprisingly, it wasn't locked, and the girl gulped and pushed it open. The room was dark, and she reached for the light switch, and turned it carefully so that the light was gradual.
She gave a little cry upon seeing her father lying on the floor. Her Jolteon, Flash, was lying next to him, looking devastated. Flash looked up at his trainer as she entered, his expression sad. The girl raced across the room and knelt down beside him, feeling for a pulse on his neck. She gave a relieved sigh when she felt one, normal, healthy, and steady. Feeling her own blood pressure drop to normal, she reached over to pat Flash, who gave a soft whine. "What happened?" she asked, but then realized that Flash was more likely to give an answer than her father was. The girl sighed, positioning herself so that she was lying on the floor, and looking into her father's face.
She cringed involuntarily at the sight of him. His face was black and blue, and covered in dried blood, some of which was pooled around him. "Oh Daddy," she whimpered, not even realizing what she'd just called him as fresh tears streaked down her cheeks. "Who did this to you?"

"It's quite simple, you release a Pokemon, I release mine. They trade blows, last one standing is the winner." He was not in the mood to talk anymore. "I choose Beacon, go on little buddy."
The Ampharos sniffed, now more angry than sad. He waddled forward a few meters, sparks shooting from his tail.
"Your move." The boy said lightly. "Who knows, you might even impress me."

"I have two things to tell you. First of all your next mission will be in Azalea town in Johto. You don't need to get therre for a while but the next time ou have a chane drop by and I will brief you on your mission." Dante said and Z could just hear the persistent smile on Dante's face. "All the way in Azalea! But that is so far away." Don't worry just take the train in Saffron and you'll be there before you know it!" Dante said happily. "Fine." Z said gloomily. He did not want to miss his contest in cerulean and have to wait for a whole week to participate again. "Secondly there are some new recruits to the organization near you in vermillion city. You should go meet them. They will be your teammates on your next mission. Their names are Angie and Mica. I will put their locations on your GPS." Dante said his smile widening. "Fine. See ya later Dante." Z sighed as he hung up in annoyance. He had a drowzee to catch! He did not have time to go meet his coworkers. Z looked at his pokenav and opened the GPS page. After a few secons three small images appeared on the map. One was a small chibified image of his face in the middle of the city and the other two were chibified versions of a boy and a girl. They were only a few blocks away.

Toph just snorted at Mikes comment. "Whatever. Edge go your up first." She said nodding in the direction of the electric pokemon.
The Zangoose nodded and leapt forward doing his best to look intimidating against the yellow pokemon.
She also decided to pull out her pokedex and find out what exactly she was facing here. The pokedex ratled something off about electricity and she frowned. She had no idea what the hell that was. "Wait a moment. Can you explain something to me? What exactly is electricity?"

"Ampharos shoot electricity from their bodies, they're like miniature power plants." He said through closed teeth, loosening up a little. "It's better to learn through experience. Beacon, Thunderbolt!"
"N'yar!" The electric...creature twirled around, building up static in it's seemingly non-conductive body. Seconds later, it unleashed a bright surge of electricity with a thunderous 'boom' at Edge.

Erika glanced at the referee, who shrugged and held up the green flag. Tangela bounced happily on its feet, obviously proud of itself for pulling off a win. "Great job, Tangela. Those last few training sessions have worked wonders!" Erika applauded her Pokemon's accomplishment, now spotting the strange Dragon-type that hovered in the air. "That must be a Hoenn Pokemon," she said thoughtfully.

Edge was to busy watching the goofy pokemon that he didn't notice the electric attack coming at him and was hit by it sending the normal type pokemon flying back a few feet at the force of the explosion. That attack did do a lot of damage to the Zangoose but the other pokemon was anything but a quiter and it picked itself up carefully now eyeing the other pokemon wearily not wanting to get hit with that again.
Toph was still somewhat confused. "Electricity makes things expload?" She said confusedly. Shrugging it off she felt the sevear damage that it had done to Edge and winced slighlty at that. "Right well, Edge try not to get hit with one of those again." She said knowing that no matter how tough Edge was he probably wouldn't last another attack of really any sort of power. "Edge use your Brick Break attack!" Toph comanded remembering the damage that it had done before and hoping that it would be sucessful this time.
Nodding Edge shook himself a bit trying to get rid of the shock he had recieved and charged at the Ampharos.

"Your right it is a Hoenn pokemon." Dante said with a smile as he watched his pokemon fly around the arena. "She is also going to whipe the floor with your Tangela." That being said he looked up at Bahamut. "All right now, this is a gym battle so give it everything you got! Now Fly!" Upon hearing the command the eager dragon flew up as high as she could in the confined gym area.
