it doesn't have to be sad, you guys. i really don't like hearing people talk about how lonely they get on v-day. ******** throw a party, or something. go out with your boys. there's really no reason to feel sorry for yourself just because you're not doing the same thing a lot of other people are doing. some people who are in a relationship stress out during v-day. expectations, costs, whatever. i'm not knocking v-day but i hate the general perception of it.

You want to know why Valentine's day is like it is now? Because someone found out that it could be a holiday... who wants to celebrate some guy who was beheaded? No one... so they said: "Hey! Lets make it fun. Let's warp history and sell chocolate and cards... and say it's about love and partnership" ....when it was actually about the unconditional love of Jesus Christ... and that St. Valentines... was actually a follower of Simon Peter and taught to a Christian philosophy. And he died saying: Greater hath no love... than a man who lays down his life for his friends.
Somehow that touching show of agape love... turned into the money guzzling holiday we know today. Mary and I never did anything for Valentine's Day except watch the movie: The life of St. Valentine. There you go... my history lesson for the day.
