FlashbackJon Maegnis Ra FlashbackJon Maegnis Ra yeah but can't they help each other in combat. I mean stopping a fully fledged ork whaaaagh! is quite hard to stop for a lone chapter. Especialy if their numbers are dwingling. Really, you've just stumbled on the key reason why Space Marines should be an IG Elites choice instead of an army of their own. razz the problem with that is that space marines sometimes fight the IG Generally not, but why would that be a problem? Orks are pretty much the hated enemies of the Kroot, and yet I can still take them as allies. as allies but not as part of your army

I'll fall back on the "generally not" answer. The only situations in which this should occur is when one or the other has gone traitorous.

I just started my own chapter of Blood Angels that can use IG units as extensions and support (ie. Kasrkin, deep strike squads, etc). I also took out the Black Rage and Red Thirst rules....i hate those rules.
I also created an interesting local rule that each squad of IG that has a radio can call in arty if you have a basilisk. One basilisk gets one extra shot per radio operator and the indirect fire rules apply normally.

Which, oddly enough, just reinforces my point. wink

"Pip pip." "What is it Jerry old bean?" "I do say, last night Private Matthias and I engaged in a form of sexual deviation known to the acients of Terra. Quite enjoyable, really." "Right-o! I must say, this whole sexual intercourse for pleasure concept is very enjoyable. Why, the previous evening I laid with my wife for no other reason than my naughty bits demanded satisfaction."
At this point in time, the Drop Pods start to fall and the IG Regiment are cleansed as Slaneesh loving heretics.

I was going to make a remark about that Blood Angels army concept was cheesy, but recent developments leave me rather empty.
