Daren laughed as well, but Tim's works made his heart freeze. he lay on his back, Tim on his chest, and let his hand rub Tim's back. "so-does this mean you're moving back in?" he asked, already knowing the answer. the guest room would probably remain a guest room this time around. at least that's the way it seemed to be heading. "god, if we start going out, you have to tell your moms...when i'm three states away. no, better yet, i'll be on the other side of the world. and stay there until they calm down."

Daren thought about that, "might work. they may still find a way to hunt me down up there." he didn't even have to think about the answer to Tim's question. "here. don't want to sleep alone." he smiled and kissed Tim's nose, "we really should sleep." the word sleep caused him to yawn, "you wore me out. been a long day too. for both of us. you beat me up, we went and spent the day with Anna and her family-" he shook his head, "it was eventful."

Daren lifted an eyebrow as Tim went over his every little flaw, "and after all this time you really think that would bother me? we lived together how long? and did i ever once complain about your cleanliness and being needy? who exactly was it that comforted you for all this time? well, except when i got kidnapped, but that doesn't count." he sat up a little as well, "i'm recovering as well, and who better a support for you than a boyfriend that has already been through all of that s**t and made it out to the other side?" he gently stroked Tim's cheek, "any more pointless worries for me to shut down?"

Daren lay back down and snuggled up against Tim once more. "i don't know-" he reached down to rub his hand up and down a lightly dusted thigh, "i guess i can deal with it." he chuckled and kissed the back of Tim's neck, "of course it is ok. you don't expect me to shave my legs, do you?" he shook his head and settled in, curling his legs with Tim's, "stop worrying about little things." he slipped his hand into Tim's and sighed softly, relaxing. "truth be told-i haven't really had a boyfriend before. Iroh-" did Iroh count? "he was sort of one, i guess. but we didn't go on dates or anything, just-well, ********." Nevi had been the first to break through the ice shell he'd grown around himself, and after her he hadn't had the heart to try again. "tomorrow-" he steeled himself, "tomorrow i have something i need to tell you. something, something about my past." if they were going to be together, then Daren shouldn't hide it from Tim. he was going to tell him about Nevi

Daren nodded, "i won't," he kissed the back of his neck, "promise. now go to sleep." and he took his own advice, passing out. he slept late, something he didn't usually do, but today was special. he nuzzled closer to the soft mass of red and sighed, wanting nothing more than to stay there all day.

"could get used to waken up like this-" Daren sighed, smiling.

"a girl could get used to waking up in your arms."

the voice whispered back to him from his past, a memory so distant he thought he'd forgotten. it had been the first time they'd made love. Nevi had seduced him at a party, dragging him to a nearby hotel so he wouldn't have time to refuse. it had been his first time waking up like that and he'd felt so proud, so strong hearing those words. "breakfast," he sighed, forcing the memories away, "and coffee for you, though i guess it's time for lunch now."

Daren shook his head, "no, i think i've slept too much." he shrugged, "took a nap and slept in, more than i've had in a week together." he slowly got out of bed and rummaged around to find where they had thrown their clothing the night before. he tossed Tim's onto the bed and dressed in his own, yawning as he did so. "steak and eggs, huh? let me look and see if i have steak," he probably did. somewhere. he tried to not look at his office door when he walked past. he would have to face what was inside, and needed to think about how he was going to tell Tim. he couldn't just spring it on him, but he knew Tim should have full knowledge about the damage Daren bore before they got involved further. he found the steak, surprised it wasn't in his freezer, and got it cooking. "how should i make the eggs?"
