The contact didn't last long enough for Xei to catch what Alexi might have thought back, if at all, but he did see her begin moving in his general direction. That was good, but these children weren't. Just so they couldn't run off and cause an uproar, he had decided to glue their feet to the floor...hopefully they didn't realize that they could escape if they took off their shoes. [Glue]"You know that we're going to call the police on you, right?""You said that already, but I tell you, I'm not SIN""You're lying again! I saw you with that SIN wizard guy once!""Professor Panda? He turned good, really""Or you're both in it together! You're both SIN and were planning something when your bomb went off early and made that explosion on the news!""There was no bomb! Nobody really knows what happened, but I had nothing to do with it""I don't believe you""Then let's ask...""No, you don't get to pick, we'll ask her"This entire exchange happened in harsh whispers, for even the children realized that it might not work too well to cause a riot, and ended with a finger pointed sharply at the now nearby figure. 'Please tell me he pointed at Alexi...it wouldn't be good if some random person answered that they'd never seen me...' thought the mage as Nester blurted at the figure, "Do you know this guy?"((First roll=success of Glue spell, second roll='successful' point, 1-3=random person, 4-6=Alexi)) ((EDIT: okay, so they pointed at Alexi, but on my next post they'll realize that they can still run away))

Felines lips quirked slightly at the fish creatures actions, he was so pompous and charming at the same time.
Where did they find this guy? she thought with an internal laugh.
'Well then," She replied, taking back her now mop slimed hand, "I'll be leaving you and you handsome guest to the party."
Before leaving she gave a respectful nod to the angelic fishman that was also in the tub. The fact that he had wings intrigued her.
I would love to ask him about those wings. He's the first person I've met here with them.....
Quickly turning to the exit, she was already putting the quirky fishman out of her head. She had bigger a fish to fry, well....cat man to fry.
Though considering how pompous the prince was to me, can I really blame Gwarm? Not everyone has had the training I've had....
Any fleeting bit of sympathy she had quickly left her though as she entered the courtyard. There in the center, lit by the moonlight, was a drunk Gwarm slumped to the ground.

Alexi looked at the boy pointing to her. "I'll answer your question after you answer mine," she said to him. She put her gloved hands on her hips matter-of-factly. "Why are you harassing this boy? He's just here to enjoy the festivities, as we all are."
The girl eyed the kids up and down. They didn't seem like they were there for the party, that was certain. She was curious as to what they were doing at the Christmas Ball anyway.

"It's because he's a SINner, and we're here to capture him!" piped in Julian, earning him a glare from his brother. "We weren't supposed to say that, we're undercover you moron!" he whispered angrily as he jabbed Julian in the arm. As his brother tried in vain to shift away from it, he noticed something. 'Hey...we couldn't move earlier...did it break?'
In the meantime, Xeiashi gave Alexi a short rundown of his relationship with the kids, "They found me in a tree during the news report after the explosion and thought I was SIN...apparently they didn't forget."
Vengeance exacted, Nester turned back to them and stated, "Well you got your answer, so are you going to help us bring this guy in?"

Oh no... Gwarn new that smell from anywhere...
Feline was approaching from the exit of the temple. How could he possibly explain to her what had happened?Oh please, please don't be angry... I doubt I'd be able to live with myself regardless His thoughts were etched plainly across his face. The vile liquor had taken it's toll along with his control over his earlier actions.
He stood, brushing himself off. He was a bit wobbly at first, but he straightened quickly. His composure was regained, if not his dignity. "Feline*..." he started, not knowing the right words. "I-I can't truly apologize for what I've done... I... I know it was wrong, but it happened," His words were slow to come to him, and the alcohol was still in his system, resisting his efforts to quicken it's course through him.
"Please... I can't tell you how much I wish it had never happened..." [[[*He uses Fel's actual name, but, as it has not been typed out, I simply have to do this.]]]

Alexi shrugged. "Depends," she said. "What side are you guys on anyway?" She stared at the kids, hoping they would give her an honest answer.
She then looked at Xei and smiled slightly, trying to show him that she was on his side.
((Sorry for such a short post...I'm a bit pressed for time. >.<))

Feline's eyes prickled with the sharp sting of tears. She had stood up for him...put her reputation on the line and what seemed to be the worst at this moment, had given some of her heart to him only for him to repay her in such a manner.
Her wings mantled out like a hawk swooping in on it's prey.
"So it is true......How could you Gwarm?!" She cried out, anger tinging her voice, "Look at yourself."
Making a sweeping motion with her arm as if to encompass the whole situation, Feline shook her head sadly.
"You are better than this and you know it." Her green eyes glowed naturally in the night, but her anger made them two emeralds burning from within.
"If what the fishman says is true, I don't know if I can trust you anymore Gwarm." Feline didn't want to admit it, but her heart was breaking and she had never truly had a chance to really give it to him.
Maybe the masters were right...attachment is for the weak.

A couple more songs, a bit of food and a few lemonades later, Mirassou was back onstage ready to perform the next set. He began with “Heaven”, a breezy and gentle song.
“Oh, thinking about our younger years, there was only you and me…we were young and wild and free…”
His voice was calm and soothing, and the music the band behind him played set the mood. An air of peace descended upon the main hall.
As the young waiter sang, some young couples in the crowd began to dance, giving the boy an idea for later on. But it would have to wait; there was still more time to pass, and besides, he was having fun right now. He truly loved performing for crowds, despite his occasional nervousness.
After a few more songs, he decided to turn it over to the crowd.
“All right you guys,” he said, taking a sip of the water provided for him. After drinking, he set it back down on the piano. “How about instead of me always picking the songs to sing, how about you request some? It doesn’t seem fair that you guys have to listen to all the music that I like, now is it?”
A couple members of the crowd laughed.
Mirassou smiled in response.
“So how about it?” he asked. “Does anyone have any requests for me?”
Almost before the boy could get the words out, a young blonde-haired girl wearing a yellow dress jumped up.
“Oooh! Oooh! Do Teenage Dream! Teenage Dream! Teenage Dream!” She squealed with happiness.
Mirassou laughed at the girl’s enthusiasm.
“Teenage Dream, huh? Isn’t that the one by Katy Perry?” He thought a minute. “Okay! It’s a bit out of my element, but…”
Actually, it was quite out of his element. Like, in a whole other galaxy out of his element. He liked popular songs, but he’d never thought he was all that great at singing them. Oh well. He had said that it was the audience's turn to pick songs, and he was going to stick by that.
“All right then,” he said, clearing his throat as the band began to play, “here’s the first request, Teenage Dream!”
Despite all his qualms and uncertainty, the waiter began to sing.

"Oh my god, oh my god!" Steff squealed, whirling around and grabbing her 'date' by both arms. "I LOVE THIS SONG!"
She threw her arms around Odin's neck and began dancing in a semi-slow semi-fast jig, bouncing and rocking as the music played and she sang along. "You make me~ Feel like I'm living a teenage dream~ The way you turn me on~"
Gloria couldn't help but watch with narrowed eyes, the blond girl having caght her attention again with her vibrant energy. She took a sip of punch and signalled to her own date, who was actually male, although she didn't know, of course, that the hotness who was Steff's dance partner was not. "You wanna dance?"
"Naw, I don't do dancing," he replied, coming back over from collecting his brother, left in the corner until then, "I do gyrating."
Gloria rolled her eyes as Sam piped up. "I do dancing."
"Of course you do. That's just my luck - I get the brother who won't do squat," she complained, and her thoughts couldn't help but turn to the Captain, wherever he was. If he were here... and if he were with her... she was sure he'd have no qualms about inviting her to dance...

Odin yelped and staggered forward as Steff took her arms and lead her to the dance floor. Oh, dear.. This was what I was dreading.
"Ahaha.. r-really? Erm, sorry.. Not very good at this," she squeaked as she tried to match her partner's movements, albeit a bit stiffly and awkwardly.

"Awww, don't worry!" Steff cried as a point of reassuring her, "Nobody's even looking at you! Everyone'll be looking at ME!~"
She said this so without arrogance it was practically childish, not helped by the fact that her voice ricocheted upwards into an adorable, youthful, Minnie Mouse-like squeak on the last word. To prove her point, however, she turned around and began a more subdued, sensual wiggling motion up against Odin's front, winking at another guy who happened to look their way and giggling non-stop. "Seeee?~ It's like you don't even exist! Just keep doing yo thang back there, girl!"

"Eheh, if you say so," she replied timidly blushing profusely as she felt herself sinking deeper under her hat.
As much as Steff tried to console her she could feel the paranoia slip in and she wasn't so sure if it was her imagination playing with her or if someone really was observing them from a distance.

Little did Odin know, she was being observed from a distance, and by a pair of scrutinous eagle-eyes. Eyes which widened as Steff executed her master plan of keeping attention away from Odin.
"Do you see that?!" Gloria hissed, grabbing Damien by the collar of his ridiculous shirt and shaking time until practically all the air was throttled out of his lungs. "LOOK at the way they're dancing!! Look at it!"
"I'm looking, I'm looking!" Damien cried, "And I like it! Hey, if you won't 'dance' with me, do you mind if I go over and cut in on the mysterious redhead? Steff knows how to work it!"
Damien was lucky he didn't find his face forming a crater in the wall, and he knew it from the look on her face. "Joking! I was joking! D-do you want to dance? I'll dance with you...!"
"Forget it," the tanned woman hissed, violently pushing him away, "If anyone's going to be cutting in here, it's me."
"Aw hell, don't go ruining little Steffie's evening by stealing her da- hey! Come back!" he said, calling to her as she went charging off through the crowd like an enraged rhinoceros. There was no stopping her now, though. The tipping point had come. It was all over.
"Hey, Steff!" she barked, shoving her way past the last couple who dared to stand in her path and reaching out to place a hand on her black-tuxedo'd date's shoulder. "Are you going to introduce me to your - ODIN?!"
Gloria's hand shot back halfway to her body again, and then she seemed to freeze in place. Her mouth opened and closed silently several times.
Oh. Em. Gee.

A familiar voice cut into Odin's internal monologue of "it'sokayit'sokayyou'llbefineyou'redoingokay.." as she felt someone heading towards them from the crowd.
Oh, crap.
She recognized the voice immediately and unconsciously cringed. She stopped whatever variation of "dancing" she was attempting and whipped her head towards the source, just a few feet from them with her hand lifted as if she was the process of reaching out to touch her. An expression of something Odin could not determine was painted on her face. Well, she actually looks like a fish doing that but --eh..?!
Odin laughed awkwardly and lifted her hand in a manner of greeting, her voice trailing off as she tentatively acknowledged her name being called.
"H-hey there, Gloria..."
