Lucas grinned, and then stopped as he stared at something... Or rather, someone. A woman in high-heeled boots, a skirt, and a dress shirt was standing some meters away, apparently waiting for a chance to cross the road. Lucas recognized her long red hair and curvy figure, one he had known all his life.
"Mom?!" he asked incredulously, jogging over to her. Sandra Roberts, the mother of Paragon, looked in his direction, slightly shocked to see her own son. "Lucas?" she asked. "How did you get here? I thought you left home a week ago, and you said you wanted to go on foot?"
"Yeah, long story, Mom. Anyway, this is Alex, Alex Skyler. Alex, this is Sandra Roberts, my mother," Lucas said to Alex, and Sandra smiled warmly, holding out a slender hand for the younger woman to shake.
"Ah, it's so wonderful to see my son has a lady friend," she said, her eyes gleaming mischievously. "He's normally horrible around girls..."

Alex blinked and followed after Lucas. That was...his mother? How old was she? She really didn't look like a forty-some year old.
She smiled awkwardly and took the woman's hand. "Um...yeah." she replied, trying to ignore the look in the woman's eyes. "He hasn't been...that bad."

"Really?" Sandra asked in reply, seeming quite interested, and then she looked to Lucas with a grin. The Arkansas boy blushed a bit, and Sandra grinned even more widely, looking to Alex.
"Oh really? You two weren't... doing anything together, were you? Not that I'd mind, though I still think I'm a bit too young for a grandchild..."
Lucas cleared his throat, and Sandra looked back to him.
"So, Mom. What're you doing here?" he asked.
"Business," Sandra replied vaguely, turning on her heel.

Alex blushed after the woman's comment and looked away. Well...no, they didn't do anything. At least not really...stupid....dream...
....
Her blush darkened.

"So... what business are you out here on, Mom?" Lucas asked, and Sandra smirked.
"Business... business of death!" she said dramatically, and Lucas just stared. His mother caught onto this and facepalmed. "Oh dear... Son, we need to afford you a sense of humor," she said slightly teasingly, and she turned back to the two.
"Alright... If you must know, I'm here on official business for SHIELD."
"Wait, what?!" Lucas demanded, and Sandra sighed. "I apologize, Honey. I was never able to tell you, but your father and I are agents of SHIELD, and I was sent on a special mission to Latveria recently. I just got here for a debriefing with Nick Fury about my mission."

Alex just stood quietly and listened. She really had no idea what they were talking about, so it wasn't like she could cut in on the conversation. Not that she would anyway. Family thing and all.

Lucas shrugged and sighed. "Well, we're here to find some of Alex's friends," he said, and Sandra nodded.
"I see, I see. Well, I may be able to help you out on that," she said, looking to Alex and nodding.

Sandra nodded. "Very well. Now... let me see..." she frowned and closed her eyes, and she touched Alex's head, attempting to see into her mind for mental images of her companions.
"Hmm... I can see..." Sandra said softly, still frowning with her eyes closed. "A woman, with statue-esque beauty. Powerful in the arcane arts... Your mother?" she asked.

Alex blinked as the woman touched her head and closed her eyes. She could feel something....and memories began fluttering in the back of her mind. She recognized the feeling, and let the woman do her thing. Tony had done such a spell before on her, being the studious sorcerer that he was. As well as Salem, though her spell was a little rougher, since she was a novice witch. The only reason she probably had mystical talent was because of her biological mo-
And then the woman described her...
Alex frowned immediately and drew away a bit. She just stood there quietly as Lucas and his mother had their little moment. For some reason it made her feel worse. Well...not for some reason. She knew why she was probably feeling upset with the touching little parental moment.

Lucas let go of his mother, and Sandra looked to Alex. "Child, please don't feel upset. I'll take you to your mother, and see if she cannot help you find your friends. Is that alright with you, dear?" she asked.

Alex shifted uncomfortably. "Yeah...I guess if it helps us find everyone." she replied. To be honest...she had no interest in seeing her real mother. She doubted the woman would even know that she was one of her many, many children. Or if she'd even care. She'd only been in her life for the first year or two.

Sandra frowned, noting Alex's discomfort, but nodded anyway. "Very well, then. We go," she said, leading Alex and Lucas to an alleyway and then twirling gracefully on one foot, teleporting herself, her son, and her son's apparent girlfriend to the home of Edel Condulmer.

[Enter Skuld and Crazy Cat from Home Sweet Home]
A swirl of smoke inside an empty alleyway close to the 'drop point', the redheaded goth sorceress and a blact cat appear, "Well, here we are. The drop is in the back to a shop a block from here."

"Alrighty then." C.C. replied, moving towards the end of the alley to peek out. Do you want me to scout out ahead, or just lag behind to be the back up?" he asked, glancing back at the woman.
