Karin watched him uncertainly for a moment, then slowly nodded. "Oh, ok..." She paused at his question and glanced down for a moment before nodding again. "Yes... I didn't have anywhere else I could go." Her ears were drooping now, but she still smiled at him. "But it was fine," she said with a slight shrug. "I mean, there's nothing wrong with sleeping outside. It was peaceful and... stuff," she finished lamely. She leapt onto another branch, claws lightly brushing the trunk to stable herself.

[Stupid dog...I'm so sorry that it took me this long]
Suka nodded and then suddenyly stopped and plopped down on the branch he was at sitting there and looking at her. "Peaceful and stuff? Well it's also a bit better then inside I think. INside the temperature is always set for you....if it's hot outside you never get ued to it because you go inside and cool off.....what is that callled again? The machine that makes the temperature 'comfortable' in doors?" He asked and was about to go on but decided he wanted an answer first. Born and raised to weather the weather...that's the way he felt everyone should be but it seemed to him that recently noone was raiseds likethat....he's even seen wolves that have become accustomed to indoor temperatures as opposed to outdoors.

"I'll damn who I please cuz I could have saved mys-..." ...Easy? Did he just call her easy!? Scytheress clenched her fists at her sides and her shoulders shrugged up slightly, a bit of her youthful elven childishness showing through upon hearing Kujiro's latest comment. She looked exactly like a young kitsune who was just denied going on its first hunt. Her tail brushed back and forth against the back of her legs madly as her eyes locked on Kujiro. In truth, Scy wasn't exactly sure what Kujiro meant by asking if she was always this easy, assuming he was referring to the fact she'd been taken down so easilly a few moments ago and he'd had to save her... Well he hadn't had to. Scythe could have done it herself. That's probably what irritated her the most now. Though, Scy wasn't one to stay 'angry' very long and her posture quickly relaxed, her tail smothing back out and her eyes half-lidding themselves. Slowly she crossed her arms and fixed the man with a rather uncaring stare.
"Think as you will." She snapped her neck to one side and then flung her head back to flip the red hair in her eyes out of her face. Too much was going on for her to be worrying about Kujiro now, she'd just have to suffer his presence. Or try too... He was so....quirky. Like his random comments while not even paying attention to the person he was talking to rubbed Scy the wrong way. He was entirely too observant and noticed things not even Scytheress would. Thus... it doomed Scy to approach him. His intrest in something she was unaware of practically drowned Scythe in curiousity. She stepped up to his side and looked at him rather than where he was looking. "And what is so captivating?" She waited for a response but it came in a language she'd long forgotten so she wasn't even sure if it was directed at her or not but his movement said enough. Tilting her head, Scytheress peered out into the woods, waiting for some sign as to what it was, all the while the hairs on the back of her neck starting to rise.
Every sense was heightened as she waited, hearing even Kujiro's breaths and the light crunch of dirt under her shifting weight. Scythe was so tuned in to everything else that a loud cry of her name nearly knocked her off her feet. To any human the call would be far in the distance but for the Fox it might at well have been a fog horn in her ear. "Dammit all." She was careful not to knock Kujiro as she brought her hands up to massage her abused ears. "Curs'ed little git..." Scythe only had to look a little farther to the right to see Pander, well she would have seen him if the trees weren't there. But she had little time for the boy as her attention went back to Kujiro. As curious as she was to know what was up with the man she'd helped a long time ago, her partial enemy was much more enticing.
It was about then that she noticed the exact intensity of Kujiro's gaze. His eyes were nearing complete blackness, and although Scythe found that unbelievably awsome it also worried her. She made the probable mistake of prodding his arm lightly as she looked from him back to whatever he was staring at. "Gonna tell me what it is or am I going to have to figure it out myself?" Her voice was unitentionally sarcastic but it got her point across. She didn't like not knowing what was going on and was irritated that the information she wanted wasn't already being provided.

[Haha, it's fine. I've got two dogs. xD;;]
Karin froze as he suddenly stopped, then crouched down on the branch she was formerly standing upon. She stared back at him, head tilted to the right as he spoke. She blinked at him, listening to him ramble on for a short while. When he paused, she remained silent for a moment before realizing he was waiting for a response. "Um... an air conditioner and heater?" she offered uncertainly. She began trying to recall if she'd adjusted to the weather when she'd slept outside. But of course she had. Otherwise, how would she have been able to fall asleep? And she was comfortable right now too..

SUka thought ofor a moment and hten noddded. "I suppose that sounds right. Those things are useless." He said nodding and swinging his legs bck in forth, his dagger still in his right hand but his left resting calmly on the branch beside him. He wondered how much she really knew about forests....she never seemed to have lived in one for very long if he was thinking right. He slid off of his branch and loked up at her before walking again in the same directioas before from the ground. HE heard people not far from here they were and wnated to see what was going on....it was probably likely that even Karin had not heard them from where they stood...he acceptional hearing that he had was abnormal even for a wolf. If they were not being so loud he would be confident that she would not have heard them but it mattered not to him for hwe was gonna go seewhat was happening either way.

Karin watched him a moment longer, still crouched on the branch, one hand against the trunk for extra balance. She was considering his words still about being outside. Those things did seem useless, now that she thought about it. She'd slept perfectly fine in the courtyard just earlier, and she'd survived in the woods during the years after her parents had been killed. Her eyes followed as he began moving away and she blinked out of her thoughts, glancing around before following after him. She sprang to a lower tree branch and then dropped to the ground behind him, landing crouched on all fours before slowly raising herself up and straightening again. Then he proceeded in following him, unsure where he was headed.

Suka continued walking and when he fel her come donwn not far behind him on all fours he looked back at her. "I don't suppose you heard them did you?" He asked looking back aead afterward and slipping his dager and both of his hands back into his pockets as they walked in the direction which Scytheress's voice had come from. He was not sure of whether or not they'd be doing something smart by coming so close to them. For now curiousity seemed to be what drove him to make most of his decisions...had been that way for a while now. He walked at a regular pace realizing now that he was ahead of her as he had not payed much atention to that fact moments earlier. For some reason he'd become accustomed to following her....that could not be good and if it did not change then there might be problems later...

Karin blinked and shook her head slowly, not really sure what she was supposed to be hearing. Her ears perked as she actually tried to pick up sound now and as she followed him, she gradually picked up the sound of faint voices. Her eyes widened slightly as her ears tilted more towards the direction they were coming from. She continued trailing after him, speeding up slightly as she realized he was moving a bit further ahead of her than she would have liked. Now that she knew there were others around, she didn't want to lose sight of him or be left behind.

Suka continued in the direction that he'd started but felt now that he had been going in the wrong direction and should have taken more of an angle. HE turned sharply between a few trees and started to weave back and forth through them on his way toward the voices he'd herd. He tried to speed up having assumed that she would not have been the one to get left behind. Earlier he'd always gone slower then her and he thought it mightbother her if he went too slow so he walked faster...the voices seemed to start again only quietly though and he continued toward them stopping on the way to try andpick up a scent.

Karin blinked, tilting her head as she saw him turn sharply. She hastened to follow, slowing again only once she was within three feet of him. She then trailed behind, matching his pace as she did. She glanced around uncertainly, wondering who it was they were approaching. Perhaps it'd be best not to bother them? But she was now curious as well, especially because Suka seemed to be. She wanted to know why this interested him so much. Maybe he was simply curious as well? Either way, she wasn't about to suggest they turn around, despite the nagging voice in the back of her head. Her ears twitched and perked again as she heard teh voices once more. She was distracted then and almost ran into Suka when he stopped suddenly, but froze at the last second and stepped back sharply.

He sniffed a few times blinking as he felt her arely stop herself from running into him and then turned around to her shrugging. "I smell them...but for now I think we should wait a little longer before coming any closer..." He said jumping up in the tree he was nearest and looking down at her. "For some reason I think tht would be the best thing to do for now..." He said shrugging and looking down ather waiting to see what she would do as he had decided not to go farther toward the scent and sound for a while. Maybe they'd talk a bit more.

Karin blinked, that nagging voice celebrating in the back of her head. She frowned but nodded, not really sure why he'd suddenly decided to stop after appearing so interested at first. But she wasn't going to question it. She was nervously to begin with and that anxiety had actually overcome her curiosity. She felt a small wave of relief as she watched him leap back into a nearby tree and then she slowly moved after him, jumping up and crouching on a branch next to his. Her head tilted to the right, covering her eye as she watched him for a moment. "So, what are we doing now?" she asked with a small laugh. She was a little confused right now.

"We're waiting..." he said and smiled. "So...did you have any siblings? Or were you an only child? He asked now a bit more curious then he had expected to be...now he was hoping to make idle conversation as he waited for whatever it was that he'd decided to wait for. If it came early then that'd be nice but he as feeling as if that were not going to happen, he let his hair fall in his face soon after he asked ter the question. He didn't notice but at the very moment that his hair fell in his face his eyes changed to the indigo from before. Even if he had felt it happen he would not have known why they had...he was not worried about it for now anyway.

Karin laughed softly and bowed her head. "Oh," she grinned, then glanced at him again. "No, I'm an only child," she said. "What about you?" She blinked as she saw his hair move into his face and reached out again, intending to move it aside once more. She liked behind able to see the eyes of who she was talking to. Though, her own eyes widened slightly as she saw his. She hadn't seen them change the first time, since she'd been standing beside him when it first happened. She stared at him for a moment, just looking into his eyes.

"I don't remember..i don't think I did...but it was a long time ago and if I did then they're dead." He said as she moved his hair blinking once as he saw her eyes widen and noted that she was now staring into his. He looked back into hers being distracted by this as his eyes glimmered a bit from some of the light breaking through the tree tops.If they were still blac they would not have done so. He was about to ask her what she was doing but stopped himself for some reason..not sure of why she was looking into his eyes like that but trying not to question it...
