It seems as if they had underestimated the strengths of the gods, but a more disturbing possibility is that they were holding back their powers. They had figured they had the grasp of Baulder's powers, but they hadn't accounted for his speed. Knox was most certainly the fastest person in their group, but Baulder seemed to grasp his movements easily, his blade was already halfway through Knox's arm before Knox could use one his abilities to try and twist away. They all felt it, now that they were linked together, but the other developing events made focusing impractical. Baulder was on the move again, Hell's Hands didn't seem to be slowing him down in the least. Shigure had simply been minding his own business, his had only been a supportive and defensive role, but here was Baulder with his huge black blade tearing into him. His clothes were shredded and his back torn to shreds he fell like a limp rag doll, he was on the brink of death only because of Baulder's own speed had impeded his attack. Shigure had been in the process drawing up a shield of wind, but he'd been drawing it from his back to block a frontal attack. Tetsujin emerged from the ground sliding to catch the broken body of Shigure. That left Shigure and Knox both incapacitated. Then things just went all the way to hell, ignoring the fact that they were already in the afterlife. Someone had pierced the defensive walls of shielding the puppeteers had put up. It wasn't Baulder, but one Datto Momiji who stood among the puppeteers holding Mei by her throat his yellow serpentine eyes boring into hers. The discordant sounds of her guitar could be heard across the battlefield as she struggled to remove the hand from around her throat. "The Dragon's Roar give it too me!" he roared in her face his features more demonic then anyone else. Something wasn't right here, why was Momiji attacking what were supposed to be his allies. "Just who is that?" was all Byakko could stammer frozen in fear of the man who was brutalizing their ally. Mei had questions of her own, though she couldn't breathe in the least, this was him, she could almost cry, in fact she was crying tears were streaming down her face even through the monster she could see him. "Momiji.... -san.... please.." Kama was the first to break the spell of the appalling acts of another ninja, "Tsubaki, here." Kama rolled forward Tsubaki leaping to his hands forming her kodachi form as Kama spun throwing out a leg to strike Momiji in the side knocking him across the ground before vanishing again. He was quick, maybe as quick as Knox. "Mei who was that? How do you know him?" Byakko and Suzaku pulling even tighter around the fallen Mei, even though it had already been shown that their shielding was of little hindrance too Momiji. Knox appeared behind her his right arm hanging limply at his side it was useless to him now. Mei clung to Knox as she tried to clear her bruised throat the hand marks on her neck already making ugly bruises. "He's different... but that's our friend... he died... no..." she paused her voice could barely be heard by those standing around her. "We killed him..." she dissolved into hysterics. "You'll have to keep going without her... I don't know who that is, but she thinks it someone we used to know. He died so unless that's a ghost it's not him." they could all see that Knox was on fire they had come here to fight gods, but something like this was nothing like they expected. Maybe they were naive to think they could come down here and escape unhurt, but it was the fact that another ninja would fight them that had tilted their perspective. Tetsujin emerged from the ground carrying Shigure. "Kama-dono I need you here now if we're going to save him." Kama was at Tetsujin's side in a moment as they began to work on the unconscious Shigure. Knox crouched near Mei his working arm wrapped around her as she tried to regain her composure, his other arm was leaking blood onto the ground as if he didn't even notice it. Byakko And Suzaku were the only ones left in the fight now and it wasn't much of a fight to begin with.

Akira was caught by surprise by the lack of his abilities against the Baulder. If it was not for his reflexes, far beyond superhuman, far beyond that of any man, he would be blind. But no, he was able to turn his head and close his eyes just in time. Baulder should not have spoken. He then jumped back. "Unbelievable," was all that Akira said. He then looked to the others that had joined the fight. He had been playing too long. Now was the time to go all out. Akira's eyes turned from their new moon phase of pitch black to the gibbous moon phase as the transfer was made. Skye Orimara had taken control of his body. There was only one reason why Akira would let that happen. Suddenly Akira's breathing steadied. within the next few moments gray chakra began to sprout from Akira's body, surrounding it. Through the iron skin, blood began to seep as Akira's skin below simply burned off. The chakra turned red with that blood and the Rokubi let out a wild scream. The first tail quickly began to form. Then the arms of the beast quickly shot at Baulder and began to attempt to slam into him again and again with a flurry of endless blows.

Ronan looked at Akira and nodded to the words of Baulder. He should have known the answer from the beginning. He was fighting with demons possessed for gods sake. He had gained his power from the gods and so he had no right to try to fight them. He then turned toward Kekkaishi and lunged at him, his spear outstreatched and gleaming with his chakra and attempt to run him through. It would be a surprise that someone of his size could move so quickly but that was the power of the the God of War. All around him, the ninja should be feeling the powers of the three layers of genjutsu that come with his power. The belief that he is just as powerful as the God of War, and the fear and terror of Ares' two children, Deimos and Phobos, terror and fear respectively. In his other hand, as he is charging, a bronze shield appears.

Kengan now worried. Akira's technique seemed to not work, so now they were back to square one. The Norse god of Light, truly a dangerous foe, he was starting to think. Out from under Kengan's sleeve, a Korps blade fell into his hand. Now he had the blade and his katana, both glowing with wind chakra. He decided to take a risk. Kengan jumped in the air and seemed to bring his katana down on Baulder's head.

Ryu gritted his teeth as he prepared for his next technique. He slammed his hands to the ground and created a wave of chakra that went at Baulder. After a few moments, he ran after the wave, attempting to hide behind it, and adamtium gloved fist prepared to hit Baulder with his strongest punch, the one inch punch, once the distance had been ran and his other hand prepared to block a sword strike.

Valkyrie seemed to be lucky. She had barely attacked her opponent, so that had granted her the luck to barely have been attacked herself. She performed a string of hand signs as she turned to the sand (?) ninja and a tendrils left her body. They quickly sewed up Tetsujin's wounds with ease, as well as the wound in Knox's arm. She used Sonido to appear at their side almost instantly. "My name is Valkyrie Mayonaka, Chief Medical Officer of Hidden Moon. I figure I would do more if I mended the wounded than if I fought at this point." She then took her nirvana staff and laid it upon Tetsujin's body, transfering its healing factor to him as she brought her hand to her mouth and cut it, breaking the skin and causing it to bleed. "If he drinks my blood, my power will transfer to him. It might be enough to get him through this.

Finally, the last of Akira's fighters made it through the portal and quickly sunk under the ground. Hideo Akasun had joined the fight.

Well, some one felt as though she'd been pretty much useless durring this enttire battle*. Not only had none of her attacks even been noticed by Baulder, but a group of ninja had basically taken him out with little to no problem... Then again, it was thanks to Lieth. All this uselessness was getting on her nerves at this point, and it didn't help that there was mistletoe around. Kikyo growled lightly as she pulled out the mask that covered the lower half of her face to hide a few red splotches appearing and tried to make her scratching her arm as unnoticable as possible. She saw Ronan going for Kekkaishi, but she knew damn well she wasn't fast enough to stop him. Besides, Kekkaishi was a big boy. He could handle himself. He had been so far. Hell, he'd even been taking care of her, which was an embarrassing display of effection in front of all these ninja she hardly knew for her side (only because she didn't want to come off as needing rescuing all the time). So, rather than bother with Ronan, she took a few steps towards Baulder and did a few hand signs as the air became noticably colder and the environment began frozing over, starting with the ground she was walking on. A thin layer of crystal-like ice formed under each step, becoming more and more cold as she went.
"Listen here, Baulder. You're village os on my village, and that's got me in a real pissy mood, so I sugguest you just cut it out before I freeze you up to your neck and let the others kill you in whatever horrid way they can think of since I'm trying to be on my best behavior~. Now then, do you plan to let us pass?"
A cold, angry glint was in her golden eyes at this point, a clear warning to everyone in general, not just Baulder at this point, not to mess with her. She came with two goals in mind: take back Heaven and make sure Kekkaishi and any one willing to help destroy Asgard stayed safe. Any one who got in her way would probably come to regret it if she got her way.

Baulder looked as he cracked his neck. As he took in a breathe of air. He liked the cold. He had battled the Viking of the North. He dealt with the Yetti's of the South. This cold that this girl produced was nothing.

"Hahahaha..Girl..Cold against me..You don't know what cold is..until you have been to the pits of the Snow King's Layer. Until you have faught the pits of hell..and come back later."

BAulder said as he lifted up his sword once more.

"I have asked you to leave. I have asked you to not come any farther."

Baulder swung his sword up and he started to stretch it out. AS the blade stretched he would bang the blade against the ground shattering it into a million pieces. Each piece would fly at the ninja team. As Baulder fell to his knees he used the last bit of his energy.

"Die."

As his body went down. The portal would open up behind him.

the second he saw the sword hit the ground joachim made behamut fly as high into the air as it could posibly get. he also called forth a great shield to protect himself he was glad he learned prayer in soul before comming here.

Kekkaishi saw kikyo get hit he ran towards her he felt one of the shards damaging his right leg he did not care about it. he just stood next to the body of his love.he stared at it wondering what was going to happen to him now. the battle was over they had won. but she was dead. his heart became filled with rage. he felt a hand touch him he turned to see the suit man.
" thank you.. you saved me."
the guy did not seem hurt at all he must have missed the shards. he finaly let go of her body.
" i am glad you are safe. whoever you are."
one thing was left for him and one thing only know mattered to him. he would avange heaven. he did not know how he would do it but he would avange heaven and then avange her death. strength was not his concern nor was status important to him now all that remained was kikyos sacrifice

Momiji accelerated towards the attack moving at a speed that would normally allow him to pass through solid object, but something funky appeared to apply to the blade or maybe it was this plane, but he came out missing his left arm, leaving it on the floor of the strange plane. It was almost a survival instinct that his exorcist powers emerged here, tendrils of dark ether shooting out of the stump and plunging into the dead around him absorbing the fading chakras of the dead ninjas.

Ronan was surprised. The pain did not bother him all that much. In fact, all the pain and blood strengthened him all that much more, it was the blessing of Ares as it seemed that a scarlet flame of aura appeared around him. Still, he did not need to be like that. Suddenly two new arms shot out of the stumps and Ronan reached for the spear of Ares, prying it out of the of his now detached arm. He then walked through the portal, not really waiting for anyone else. The death of Baldur, who sometimes reigned as king of Asgard, and other times king of Midgard, and these puny humans had defeated him. What does that say of the gods?

Akira was in pain, losing his leg, he was in no danger, the demon already making sure that Akira did not die from blood loss. Akira, under the control of the Rokubi quickly looked towards Kengan and Valkyrie before leaving for the other world. They had a lot of work on their hands, this was not going to be the hardest of their jobs. Valkyrie was going to have to heal Akira after he passed out from the pain and he was going to have to heal Kengan immediately. That was for sure.

Kengan was holding onto the stump that was his right arm. It was not his strong arm, but it was still bad. he could not believe that he had been hit. Now pain was unbelievable. He, had his sword in his hand as he began to walk into the portal, not being able to sheath it.

Valkyrie was presently working overtime to get together Akira's leg, Kengan's arm and one of Ronan's arms. She sealed them in a scroll before using sonido to speed through the portal. The medical triage that she and any other medical ninja on this job would have to do would be quite extensive. She would be able to attach the limbs lost from this fight if they worked fast enough.
