She too stole a taste of his filling, and she nodded approvingly. "Yum." A moment later, the crumbling mix reached the right consistancy, and she pulled a pie tin out. With her fingers, she mushed the mix into a thin-ish layer along the bottom and sides of the pan. "Thick enough, you think?"

Tomo leaned over to look in the pan and nodded. "Looks perfect, to me." He said, then glanced over at Sencu. "Oh, hello little one. Can I get you anything?" He asked, wiping his hands on his t-shirt.

Cass smiled and nodded. "Okay, then it's filling time!" she said, going to the oven to set it to the correct temperature. "Hey, you put that in there, and I'll be right back." she said, jogging off and up the stairs. It was too warm downstairs, she needed to change clothes.

He shook his head and started to look at everything.

Tomo nodded and added the filling to the crust. He stood back waiting for her to come back down and for the oven to heat up a little more. He prepared the timer and wiped down the stove a bit before putting the cake into the oven.

She came back in cooler clothing, and her hair was now pulled back. "Now we wait!" she said, as she hopped up onto the counter to sit, into a pile of flour, but not exactly noticing.

He then walked out of the kitchen and sat down next to Rentue.

Tomo noticed and just smiled, sitting up on a cleaner section of counter. "Can't wait. Haven't had cheesecake in a long time." He said, pulling his knees up to his chin.

She nodded, smiling. "Me either. How long have you known Baizou?" she asked, trying to muster up some small talk while they waited. Getting interested in someone and their life was the best way to become their friend, she had learned.

Rentue woke up and stayed close to Sencu as they stood up and walked outside.

Tomo lifted his head, looking to the ceiling as he thought. "Hmm... Little over a year, I think." He said, the end of his tail flipping up and down. He nodded, "Yeah, that's it." He looked back to Cass, "Why do you ask?"

"No reason, really. Just trying to get a better idea of everything around here." she said, smiling weakly, and not admitting it was because she wanted to know everything there was to know about Tomo from the moment she had met him.

Tomo nodded and folded his legs indian style. He was a fidget and it showed the most when he was talking to people. "It's amazing to see how this place has grown... But it some ways it hasn't changed at all."

Sencu and Rentue watched the sky and then got confused. They didn't speak as they walked back inside and drew the sky on some paper.

"I understand what you're saying." she said calmly, as she stood off and brushed off her bottom. She left the kitchen to sit at the piano on the stage. Ellie had taught her a couple of easy songs, and she thought maybe a little alone time and music might make Tomo stop fidgeting so much, as he had when they spoke.
