"Yes, I did." she replied, and taking the pocky, sticking the end of it in her mouth. She didn't really know what to say, since the whole thing was bigger than she could have imagined to wrap her mind around. "Actually, while you're back there, could you grab me a glass of milk?" she asked timidly, with a small smile.

Tomo nodded and set the pocky on the bartop, "Sure! No problem!" He said, going to the fridge. He poured her a glass of milk and brought it out to her before picking his tea up again. "There you are."

"Thanks," she said, sipping at it, and munching away what was left of her piece of pocky. "What're your plans for today?" she asked, eyes bright and fuzzy ears perked up.

Tomo shrugged, "Didn't really have any." He said, shuffling his foot along the floor. His ears twitched a little, "Probably just going to read all day. You have any?"

"Not really..." she replied, her foot swaying back and forth by the barstool. "Probably the same, or maybe trying to make some lemon pound cake." she said, shrugging, though her mouth was watering at the thought alone.

Tomo nodded, leaning against the bar, "That sounds really good." He mused, eyes glancing off towards the oven. The small talk was awkward at best, but it was better than silence.

She nodded, smiling. "It's one of my favorites. Do you have a favorite dish?" she asked, smiling, as she stood, and placed her hands prominently on her hips. "I can try to make it, if that's okay." she said, with a smile. She knew that things would be like this for a while; always quiet and odd small talk. But it's the best she could ask for.

Tomo scratched his elbow and leaned back, "Err... Well, I'm a sucker for anything with strawberries." He said, trying to think of other foods he liked.

"Yum, strawberry shortcake, cheesecake, or even upside down cake!" she said, tapping her chin and smiling brightly. "Are there any strawberries in the fridge, or should I go run and pick up some from town?" she asked, leaning against the bar and blue eyes bright.

"There should be some in the fridge," Tomo said, walking closer to the kitchen, "Do you need any help?" He asked, figuring he could at least help her find things.

"Of course I do!" she replied, and hopped back into the kitchen. "I'll get the bowls and stuff, if you can find the ingredients for the cheesecake." she directed, thinking. "You know what those are, or should I try and list 'em off?"

Tomo shook his head, "I got it," He said, already beginning to grab the right ingredients. He set them all beside Cass' workspace, "I think that's everything..." He murmured, tail swaying as he read over the recipe.

Returning to their counterspace with an arm full of bowls and such, she smiled. "Alright, how about I get to work on the crust, and you can mix up the things for the filling-stuff." she said happily, and began to pick through the ingredients for the things she needed.

"No problem." Tomo said as he pulled his hair back into a short ponytail to keep it out of the food. Cheesecake was one of the first things Ritsuko had taught him how to cook, so he had the filling combined and mixed in just a few minutes. "Here we are..." He murmured to himself as he allowed himself a taste test.
