@Nora -> Cue the Bicentennial man. And also - are you saying that you would save all of them for ulterior purposes? o.o
@Cryo -> ...And, how would checking on past conversations or on past documents/status collected be related to pyramids or ancient historical landmarks? If it is a device that has a function which to collect data and show you the trend or a review of it... Then that correlation wouldn't really work.
Good try though. o3o

Something of a type writer sitting on a piece of old and crumpled parchment, then Snow?
It shows that it was a method of collecting "older" information.

Typewriter, eh? Not a bad thought. However - it can also be misinterpreted as typing a message, obsolete files, things to throw away (with the addition of crumpled parchment).
The main concept would be trying to create an image that accurately reflects... A review. Reviewing something - past trends, collections....wait.
I think I got something.
Diagnostic, periodic reports...collection... Cabinet...folders....
Folders. Past data on folders...

You said something about past or history and information. I'm just trying to toss out ideas that enconpass both. You could always just use an encyclopedia or log book. Sorry I'm not much help.

No no, no need to be sorry. There's no fault in throwing ideas - any ideas can be used in some way and can lead to other ideas in more than one shape or form.
That's why it's called brainstorming. ... In which the people I work in this project currently lack in, and fail hard at. *Meanface*

What the..
What the ********, Reach?
Also. Snow, I'd do an open magazine which is zoomed partly in on an article. Perhaps with the article having numbers in the form of 8.5/10 etc. etc.
Magazines constantly review movies, books, things of that nature.

Mm...looks like the idea is veering off course somewhat. The icon itself - as far as I'm aware of - needs to be designed to represent that you have collected some data - let's say your health record - over a period of time...
And you're reviewing your data, your history, to see any status flow or trends that may occur in your collected info.
Not to mention that this icon would most likely have to be less than 50x50 pixels, so trying to cram all that information into a space that isn't enough...
@_@;;

Because we can have Constantine over there in like 14 hours if you need.

A folder with an eye over-looking it, then. Maybe have some of the papers lightly over-lapped the edge of the folder?
Also, Reach, I'm just wondering where the ******** you find the comics. xD
