Well you were planning on unpartitioning it and deleting the stuff anyhow, aye?
A format will just make sure it's all clean. :3

No no no, I partitioned it so I could store files on one partition, and store backup on the other partition. I partitioned the second partition to be the exact same size as my laptops hard drive. there's 150 gigs of data on the first partition, and 40 gigs of data on the second. I wanted to delete the 40 gigs of backup data and merge the partitions so I could store more files.
